I needed advice after an exterminator put Kaput in vole holes around my yard. He recommended keeping the dogs out of the front yard but I worried that these terriers might catch a vole that had eaten the poison and it could kill them. Linda was so very helpful and actually called the emergency number on the package to ask about this product. I had searched the Internet but she was determined to get all the facts. After also discussing my dilemma with one of the veterinarians, she assured me that the dogs were safe if I waited 48 hours to let them patrol the backyard. I wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation to Linda for going way beyond my expectations. My dogs have been treated and groomed at Greywolf for over 19 years. We moved to Sequim in May with our 2 Dobermans. They both became ill during the night and Greywolf told us to bring them in right away even though they already had a full schedule. We have seen both Dr Rooker and Dr Tyler and been pleased with the care of our dogs. The staff is professional and kind every time we call or visit the clinic. I am a dog trainer and was a veterinary assistant for 30 years and great veterinary care is very important to us. And as a side note, we were not clients at Greywolf when they worked us in. We had already established care at another clinic in town and were shocked with the very unprofessional and rude treatment by the office manager there. Do yourself and your pets a favor. Check around. Personally, certainly no money was saved, but no pet was either. Vital medical records were either lost or staff failed to retrieve records from storage..(stories changed). Web posting conflicted with services actually provided,..so ask . After losing two beloved animals, we obviously won't return. Check with other people in town, not just current customers who don't know yet. This clinic is probably adequate for small procedures. Be sure to get second opinions before it is too late for your pet and keep a medical file up to date at home. read more

My dog had a mass removed (non cancerous) about 2.5 weeks ago and the stitches were taken out about 4 days ago. We thought it would be ok to continue with our plans to get away to Sequim for the weekend with the dogs. This morning on our walk we realized Harley's cut had opened up and was looking like every time he turned his head it was opening more. We were scared and thought we would have to drive back home to our vet in University Place, WA. We drove by Grey Wolf and thought we would just walk in to get it checked out. The vet tech immediately greeted me and said they close at 1pm and are busy, but let me see what I can do. A very nice Nurse came out, briefly spoke with us, took Harley to the back and said they would return in just a question. It was about 5 minutes and Harley came back with a staple and a cleaned out wound from the DOCTOR! It was great! And even better, we went to pay and it was VERY reasonable to have a doctor see him AND to have a staple in his scar. This place is fantastic!! Thank you so much for everything! I always feel my pets are treated with the utmost care here. My cat is now 17 and has quite a few medical problems. They always give me options for her health and care. When I take her in they pick her up and I feel like they love her too. They care for her when I'm out of town and that's important. She always gets the best care here. They have even resorted to calling her Fancy Nancy. They even take care of my crazy little dog with just as much love. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Our dogs have been patients at Greywolf Veterinary Hospital for more than six years, for a wide range of issues, from regular wellness checks, to puppy care, to senior dog problems, including a dire cancer diagnosis. Dr Tyler is a cheerful, professional, highly competent vet who truly cares about his patients and their families. We use Greywolf's groomers as well and we've been very pleased with this service. We have had experience with vets in other parts of the country and the fees are reasonable, and we appreciate the itemization so that we can see what we're paying for. A few days ago, my shepherd mix Henry decided to eat either a dead fish or bird against my demands for him to drop it. I didn't think much of it at the time because he had done this before with no consequences. The next day, he was having diarrhea, but apart from that acting completely normal and his usual self. The following day (yesterday) he refused to eat breakfast, and when I let him out to do his business, his stool resembled a waterfall of blood. I had never seen this before so I obviously went into panic-mode and started looking up causes and treatments online so as to avoid a vet visit if it was not entirely necessary. Throughout the day the frequency and quantity of bloody stools subsided, but when offered dinner, Henry turned his nose up. The next morning, the waterfall of bloody stool was back in full swing, as was my panic. Being that I just moved to the outskirts of Sequim from across the country just 3 months ago, I had no idea where any vet was even located. I remembered seeing Greywolf on my way in and out of town so I, hysterically, fled to them and paced outside their doors until they opened at 8am. I explained my situation to the staff at the front desk, and she immediately went to the back to talk to one of the vets. Within minutes she was back and told me to bring Henry in and that he would be seen immediately. Henry was seen by Kristen Rooker, DVM. She was fantastic. She made Henry as comfortable as he could possibly be under the circumstances, and put my worries at bay and my mind at ease. She told me (among many other things) that this is a fairly common occurrence that takes place when a dog eats a foreign substance, atypical to their daily diet and that she has seen many patients under similar circumstances. Henry was prescribed and antibiotic and probiotic to help build up healthy bacteria and help subside the bloody stools and diarrhea. Her confidence and knowledge base made me feel very comfortable and confident that he wil be back to his normal, healthy self within the next few days. Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease and taking Henry in on short notice. I will always come to Greywolf in the future and I am so thankful for their kind, compassionate energy! read more

I have always been very happy with Greywolf Vet. They saw me immediately when my dog had a vestibular incident and Dr. Tyler put me at ease and was so professional. He didn't do any unnecessary tests at all. A couple of weeks later when this same dog inhaled a six inch bully stick on a Saturday morning they got me right in and by early afternoon everything was taken care of and for a very reasonable cost. I also recently had my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel spayed there and everything went very well. They are thoroughly professional and the front desk staff have always been friendly and helpful. read more

Compared to another veterinary hospital closer to my home (Sequim Animal Hospital), Greywolf staff is more professional without losing friendliness. The waiting room is bigger and more quiet. The over-all atmosphere is just nicer and more relaxing, which for my dogs is very important. Both the technician and the doctor were soft-spoken, calm and thorough. The cost for the visit was much less than anticipated. This was only my second visit to Greywolf Veterinary Hospital, but I will continue with them, not the other. read more

FABULOUS!! The AKC recommended this vet when we got our Husky pup in August, so we came and saw Dr. Rooker. From the moment we got there, Rainbow loved it and she still loves going there. Every employee is invested in your animal and their care. I feel like they absolutely do love her as much as I do.They want to make it fun for Rainbow so she won't be afraid to go to the vet. She knows when we get there, that she's going to see her friends and get cookies. I have always been impressed with the knowledge and manner of all of the vets and vet techs there. I only wish they did emergency care, if I had to place an cons that would be it. It's a 45 minute trip, but it is well worth it! The prices are reasonable and they have the puppy plan. That in and of itself has saved us so much with her well puppy visits and shots as well as other appointments fo rashes and the general puppy stuff that goes along with a energetic, and destructive puppy such as Rainbow. HIGHLY recommend that you trust them with your pets! Rainbow had a sleepover there and she came out just fine the next day. I would trust them with any of our furbabies. read more

We live full time in Seattle, weekends and holidays in Sequim where we own an old farmhouse. My kids and an elderly minpin dog name Mini love coming to our Sequim home. One weekend Mini showed signs of illness that prompted me to search for a local veterinary that I can take her for evaluation rather than driving back home to my regular vet in Seattle, fight the traffic with a sick pet. I found Greywolf Veterinary Hospital and she was assigned to Dr Rooker. I am happy to see the compassion Mini received and how knowledgeable Dr Rooker is in veterinary medicine. Unfortunately my dog's health report was not a happy one but the doctor assured me with control and testing my dog can live a good life with this condition, basically not the end of the world for the dog. With regular testing requirement I opted to continue with Greywolf rather than take her to my Seattle vet, except for emergencies. I wish the area of Sequim, Port Angeles have a 24-hour emergency pet hospital considering the amount of people who lives here and own pets and not just dogs or cats but horses, goats and cows. read more
