The HYPE is real!! Never would I imagine I would be standing in line for an hour just for tacos, but I was determined to get my hands on some birria tacos. I've been seeing a lot about these tacos and wanted to try them for myself. I'm glad that Griddled was the first place I tried them. Griddled is located in the Ohana Market Place off of Ward Avenue. It's tucked neatly in the far right corner when entering the main entrance of the market place. Expect lines to snake through out the isle in the market place and if not there on their slow days, expect to be in line for a while. The tacos at Griddled were packed with shredded meat (barria), melted cheese, cilantro and red onions in a crispy corn tortilla and comes with a side of lime and radish. I also ordered a mini quesadilla, which has the same ingredients as the tacos, but only slightly bigger and instead of corn tortillas, they use flour tortillas. When ordering either the tacos or the quesadilla, a MUST is the consome, which is a broth made of onions and cilantro. I don't know what else is in this broth, but I literally could drink that for days. It's so good!

2 quesataco dorados ... each one was $4.50 and it was so tiny lol

My husband and I were excited to try this place, as he's Mexican so we are always on the hunt for good tacos lol. We waited in line for like 30 minutes and ordered 2 quesataco dorados, 1 consomé broth, and I got an ocean lemonade. Each taco was $4.50 so we thought it'd be a decent size. When we got our order and opened up the container, it was laughable at how small each taco was - and remember, each one was $4.50! Honestly, each taco should have been at most $2. The taste was pretty good with the consomé, but for the price, it wasn't worth it. Oh, did I mention that a small cup of the consomé alone was $4? And my lemonade was $7...Omg.. lol It's a shame the portions and price were not worth it, as the tacos were pretty good and my lemonade was good.

**This Review** is for the location at Hawaiian Monarch Hotel in Waikiki. We went to Hawaiian Monarch Hotel to take a covid test from the Kidney Foundation to travel back to Kona. The cart is conveniently located at the curbside of the lobby. We decided to try it since Kona does not have any Birria Tacos there. Because everything is made to order it takes some time to put it together. We ordered 4 tacos 2 consome, hot sauce, and Mexican Soda. The tacos and consome were outstanding. We waited about 15 minutes. The staff was friendly. I would definitely go back again.

THREE HOURS OF WAIT? YES It was worth it. If I didn't have an appointment at 1030, I would've waited in line right before they opened. I came at 1200 and I was one of those people waiting outside of the marketplace. I got my order at 1530. The reason why there was a long wait was because they were only taking two orders at a time. The staff were friendly and accommodating. But let's talk about those mouthwatering tacos! They were so goooooood! Quesataco Dorado $4.50 each So so good! It was very filling! Crispy corn tortilla, Shredded Birria with cheese, onion, cilantro and radish Mini Quesadilla $5 each Crispy flour tortilla, shredded birria, cheese, onion, cilantro and radish Cosme broth $4 I should've ordered one broth instead. One broth is good for two to three people. Hot sauce $0.75 Signature Drinks (Oceanada and Hawaiianade)$7 Basically lemonade with different flavored syrups in it. LIMITED MENU: The menu on the wall isn't available yet except for the drinks. I wanted to get the cucumber limeade but they said they're not selling that yet. So that makes me want to come back when the lines die down. Can't wait for them to sell the OG platter which costs $20 but it has everything in it (tacos quesadilla and broth) Can't really complain about the long wait and long line since were so used to it. This was worth it! TIP: If I were you, I would go there at 1000-1030 and just fall in line already. The marketplace opens at 1000. I wouldn't go at like 3pm seems like it'll get sold out at that time. THERES A LIMIT: You can only order 10 food items from their menu. We ordered 8 tacos and 2 quesadilla. You can order whatever you like as long as it doesn't reach more than 10 (for example: 5 tacos and 5 quesadilla)

First of all, let me tell you.. I wanted for 2 1/2 hours in line for these tacos. Lol The service took forever. I noticed while i was waiting the cashier would take one order after one order came out. Which i found it really odd. Not a very efficient. I order the quesataco dorado which was $4.50 a piece which i feel like it could be cheaper by a dollar. I would say. And i also got the consome which is $4.00 a cup. For broth, i would think it would be a little bit cheaper as well. I did get the guava limeade which was bomb asf! It did cost $6 but hey it was bomb asf so i don't mind paying $6 again for another drink. Let me talk about these tacoooooos. It's missing a wow factor. Like when i bite into it, it's missing some seasoning. It needed that umph especially when i waited in that long ass line. The consome broth as well needed some seasoning. That's all i gotta say about the broth. Would i come back? Yes if their service was faster. And especially for the drinks.

First of all, my husband is from Los Angeles so he has been complaining for 35 years trying to find good tacos in Hawaii. Finally Griddled has filled the Hawaii void. Tacos were hot, fresh and delicious. Very full of flavor and very nice condiments. The radish and lime are a great touch. Loooved the guava Limeade. Excited to come back and try all drinks on menu. Better than street food because it's air conditioned with lots of parking so super convenient. Will be back!!!!

They're currently closed at their ward location check their Instagram for their Waikiki location. Open W-SUN 12:30-8 or when they sell out as of right now. Been meaning to try this place for a while since it had so much hype. Never had barria tacos before but it definitely won't be my last time after trying this. I got three tacos and surprisingly was pretty full after eating. Must get the consome broth when ordering it really changes the tacos when u dip them in.

Alright... so I heard the hype of this place and was super excited to try it. Got to the market place at 10:30 and they opened at 11. There were 3 small groups in front of us and it was 30 minutes before I even placed my order. They need additional employees. After placing my order I was already surprised at the prices. 4.50 per taco. 6.50 for lemonade. The tacos don't clinics the consome. It's 4 dollars just to get the dipping sauce. 75 cents for a hot sauce! Ok, so let's try and forget about the fact that I've been waiting for an hour and 15 minutes to get my 4 tacos. They come out, they are much smaller than you would think. They were good, not the best tacos I've had. If they were cheaper and easier to get I would definitely go back. After all that we were still hungry as the tacos are not filling so we ended up at Chubbies burger outside. These guys are making a killing with these prices. Verdict is! Not worth the hype. Save your valuable time and go elsewhere!

These birria tacos are legit. My palette is use to southern California Mexican food and this was like a taste of just that. I highly recommend arriving before they open. I waited 2 hours (worth it!) and I got there at opening time (11am). I also recommend the lemonades. They are very very delicious. I will stop by again before I leave the island.

This is a new buss in the Ohana Market place. The service was great but they failed to mention b4 ordering that they had no salsa. The tacos were average nothing great and soggy. The consume was plain. Don't think I will be back soon. Keep in mind this is a new buss so give them some time to adjust then maybe give it a try.

    TACOS

Muy bien! These tacos are absolutely delicious, full of flavor and has me wanting more. I was fortunate enough to try Griddled and let me just say how much these reminded me of my upbringing in Mexico. The taste of the Mexican chiles in the consommè and spices are pure bliss. The quesatacos were $4.50 each. The tacos were crispy and had the right amount of cheese and meat ratio. The salsa I'm sure has Arbol which adds the perfect heat to the tacos. Service was great. Cashier was friendly and was able to accommodate my special requests. Will be back for sure.

Birria are grilled tacos that are out of this world!!!

The most incredible flavor I've ever experienced! The grilled tacos dipped in consume were so amazing! Every bite was so satisfying! Very happy the owners brought these delicious food items to Oahu!! I'm spreading the word because these are a must try experience!!

09/17 food vendors are open and it's only for take out. All other non-food vendors are close

    What are the hours?

11-6. But the entire marketplace is closed right now for two weeks

The food from the start with nachos and salsa to the end with tres leches was all delicious. I ordered the chorizo queso and it was fantastic. My son ordered the guacamole and it was so fresh and limey. Also delicious. My grandkids shared a quesadilla which was definitely large enough to do so with.
