We came here to bring my husband's car for service. The lobby is large and the waiting room is very bright and modern. They had Christmas carols playing on the PA and the TV was also going, kind of loud, so that was sensory overload. There's a coffee machine and water bottles to take. They do not offer a shuttle service back to people's homes but they do offer to pay for a ride share, which we took advantage of. After about an hour, we got a call and sure enough they wanted to sell some extra services....typical car dealership modus operandi. Overall not bad.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING FROM ANY GRIECO DEALERSHIP!!! My wife and I began our search for our next vehicle in early June. I called Grieco Hyundai to inquire about the 2025 Santa Fe. Kyle, the salesman with whom I was working, was very patient and understanding as we worked to get the best payment possible. After two weeks, we ultimately decided to lease a 2025 Hyundai Palisade instead. Overnight on the night we agreed to a deal over text message, our bank accounts were compromised and someone fraudulently emptied all of our accounts. I called Kyle to let him know that the money we were putting down on the vehicle was gone and that we would have to walk away from the deal but that as soon as we had the money back in our account, we would be back. That same morning, I spoke with a bank representative and was told that policy is to tell fraud victims that getting their money back could take as many as ten business days but that since our issue was caught within 24 hours, that it could take as few three business days. I explained this to Kyle. He insisted that we still come in and sign the lease paperwork the next day so that once we have the money back in our account, we can come back with the payment. He even offered the option to sign the lease paperwork and take the car home that day as long as we had the down payment in by the end of the month. We declined this option because it didn't feel right. We did, however, decide to go to the dealership to get the paperwork signing out of the way. Upon arrival, we were introduced to Jorge who would be finalizing everything for us because that morning Kyle was promoted. With a 10:30 appointment, we waited two hours to even see the finance department and did not leave the dealership until 1:15. Regardless, we walked away with a signed lease deal and agreed that as soon as we had the money back in our account, we would return to make the down payment and to take the vehicle which had been marked with a SOLD sign in the showroom. After three business days, no money had been returned to our account. As a good faith measure, I had offered to bring a portion of the down payment (that I could borrow it from someone), but Kyle said the dealership wanted it all. I could not agree to that. Then on Friday, I received a text from Kyle, not Jorge who was now the salesperson for this deal, stating that there was a sales event that weekend and that there was a chance someone could show interest in the car we signed for. I let Kyle know I was unhappy about this, and saw it as a passive aggressive threat given that he was aware of our situation. In the meantime, because I was told to not make my lease payment on the vehicle they would be paying off, I was hit with a late payment. On Sunday of the weekend sales event, I receive a text from Jorge saying that they sold the car. I was angry. Jorge gave me a "don't shoot the messenger" type of an excuse. Couldn't they have called me to explain the situation and see if I would be agreeable to letting the car be sold to someone else? Instead, they sold it out from under us and sent a text to tell me. On Monday, I reached out to the general manager and Hyundai's USA corporate office. I spoke to the GM of Grieco Hyundai who explained that because I didn't fulfill my end of the lease agreement, they were within their rights to sell the car despite having a signed lease agreement. He explained that they only hold a vehicle for 48 hours, a policy that was never explained to me. He proceeded to offer to find me another vehicle. I told him he could try, but after much thought, I decided to look at other Hyundai dealerships that were direct competitors of Grieco. Because I am limited to only so many words, please read on in the attached screenshots. It gets worse!

I called Grieco Honda on a Saturday and said I was trading in my Honda Ridgeline but I was interested in a Toyota Tundra that their sister dealership had in East Providence. I was told on the phone that it was no issue and that the truck would be transferred over to the dealer and I could come down Sunday morning (I live TWO HOURS AWAY). I drove down Sunday and the truck was no where to be seen. I had a 12:30 appointment and at 1:00pm, the sales manager Mark came over and said "oh we're super busy but someone is coming" and then assigned me to Alfred, who was with another customer. They finally saw me at 1:30pm, an hour late. I asked THREE TIMES to see the truck since "we have to go to Providence but the test drive can be the ride over here." They spent 45 minutes talking trade in and price even with me saying I would discuss it after I get to actually see the truck!!! Alfred finally said okay to going to Providence and then took another 20 minutes to get a car so we could drive over. We finally got to Providence 45 minutes later only to watch someone driving the truck out of the lot and buying it. I never even got to test drive it! Got back to the dealer and gave Mark an earful because I had never been treated so poorly. He said how sorry he was and that he would call me Monday to find me the same truck. He called me and said they would search the country to find it because it was sold out from under me. I found the exact truck at the same price in Oregon and Mark had me send it to him. He said they would call them right then. That truck sold over the weekend so I called to ask if Grieco had reached out AND THEY NEVER CALLED FOR THAT TRUCK!!! Mark and Alfred are TERRIBLE. They and Grieco Honda are the reason people hate car dealerships. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!! And I know the blanket "oh call our GM and he wants to hear from you" is coming, don't bother. I called the GM and he never called back. GRIECO HONDA IS THE WORST!!!

Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I'd say the truck I looked at was a little worse for wear…read more The sales experience was low/no pressure and Steve was very helpful in letting us look at and drive the vehicle. Once again, I always advocate people run their tests and inspections on used vehicles prior to purchase. Do research, crawl under the vehicle, poke things that need to be poked, checks fluids, use your OBDII tool. I looked under a ~50k mile truck that was $14995. Upon looking under the truck with a light and a screw driver, I found some issues that were impossible to ignore. I brought them to the owners attention and offered a price that was more fair given market and condition of the truck. He did consider it, but mentioned if he did that price, it would be as is and they would just sticker it and I'd be responsible moving forward. If I did go with the sticker price they had, they would fix some of the issues. I wasn't comfortable with that answer or the price, especially given some of the safety concerns that might be associated, so I did walk away. This is not to say that there are not quality vehicles, but I would urge people to not blindly go off of drive tests alone. If you're not comfortable checking yourself, ask for a pre purchase inspection to make sure you're not going to inherit a headache. Facts: 1. 50k mile truck for 2011 2. No car fax, I had to purchase the report on my own. Was told it was only normal wear and tear a one owner truck. Bed was dented, but had a new one on site to replace it with 3. Inspected the vehicle myself, was met with comments about poking around the bottom of the truck 4. Found the back of rotors bad rot 5. The driveshaft and rear diff was pretty rusted and was soft to the poke 6. Bed rails had rot and were soft 7. Rockers had rotted holes 8. Frame had partial spray to cover rust, but the uncovered rust areas had more than flaky rust apparent 9. Negotiated price only if I waved the repairs and they would sticker the truck. Advertised price would include some of the repairs 10. The vincheck/carfax had no data other than no reported accidents. Couldn't find any other pieces of information on the vehicle. No other information was provided onsite when I asked.

I have gotten my last 2 cars from here and had little to no issues (I understand the cars are used) but since financing my last car from them ONLY 3.5 months ago, it has a cracked cylinder head and I am being told the engine needs to be totally replaced. When I called Shannon, I was told they could not do anything for me considering it was over the 30 day warranty. There is no way this issue occurred from me considering I've only driven a few thousand miles on it and got it at the end of January 2026. I was told that the bank gave me an extended warranty that had total coverage if anything were to go wrong in the first 24 months/24,000 miles (whichever came first). I am now being told that it's not covered by the extended warranty. I am now stuck making monthly payments on an unsafe car that Shannon has sold me. Garages are telling me the repair will cost anywhere from $3,000-$7,000. Beware when getting a car from here. They have lost my business and any good word of mouth I would have passed along for them.

The salesperson and my entire experience buying the vehicle was not an issue and the truck was everything I had hoped for 2+ years. I had an issue with DEF being introduced to my fuel by another party, BIG problem. Brought the truck here to be fixed in mid August. Despite insurance covering the repairs it still took almost a month to get the repairs done. Literally picked the truck up 2 days before I was scheduled to relocate to Maine for a job opportunity. I understand supply chain issues so I don't necessarily have an issue with the length of time the repair took, only that it was down to the wire. Fast forward 1 month, when I get in the truck on a Monday morning to go to work (had recently driven the truck to Massachusetts that weekend and back with no issues) and the truck will not start. Indicator on the dash says water in fuel. Had not done anything with DEF since getting the car back from Tasca and had been filling at the same gas station since moving to Maine but here we are. Was able to get the truck to a local to me large Mopar dealership and the verdict was that the injectors were not properly programmed when replaced and the fuel rail was not replaced at all which I was told (and also saw the print out from Chrysler) is standard procedure with this type of job, thus causing the fuel system to be contaminated again and the entire 10K+ job needed to be redone. Obviously insurance will not cover faulty work done by a third party and the local dealer is unable to warranty the parts due to the critical step being missed. So I reached out to Tasca to see if they would make it right. I spoke at first with the service advisor Jose whom I had dealt with during the initial repairs. The service manager from the dealership here in Maine had also been in touch with Jose to try to get this taken care of. Both he and I were told that Tasca was not responsible and I was basically out of luck. I escalated to the service manager Gregory and after leaving multiple messages was more or less told the same story and that either the dealership I have the truck at now could somehow warranty bad parts (even though the parts themselves did not fail, but were ruined due to poor workmanship) or I was going to have to pay out of pocket. Long story longer - this shop will not stand by their work and you will have to have their work redone by another shop and will be stuck with the bill for another 10k+ in repairs. Their website has this commitment listed "We humbly pledge to continue the Tasca Family Commitment that YOU WILL BE SATISFIED" I, for one, am not satisfied.
