Can't believe it has taken us so long to eat dinner here. By far the best meal we have had in Paducah and rivals many top restaurants we've eaten from around the world such as London, Dubai, Melbourne amongst other cities. What a gem. If you are looking for something special in Paducah, 211 is the the place. I had the 10oz filet which is PRIME beef and cooked Sous-vide to perfection and oh so good. We had the firecracker shrimp as a starter and debated the getting gator tail which another table ordered. Our starter was great and the gator looked amazing as well. Next time for the gator. Stop looking around, just book a table at grill211..... you will not be disappointed. Excellent dessert menu and wine selection too. Service was just as good as the food. read more

We ate here with another couple a few nights ago. The atmosphere is so nice. The waiters and waitresses were friendly and kind. We got an appetizer that was wonderful. I got the grouper, which I've never had before. It was good, but I wish I had tried the steak because my husband's streak was much better. We also got cheesecake as a dessert and oh my.... perfection!!! Great place for sure! read more

I will never go there again. Very rude hostess, everything in the menu very overpriced, but the "dessert" was the top. The "Peanutbutter Creme Brulee" was 2 teaspoons peanut butter with a little caramel on the top and it costs $10. It looks like people in Paducah never knew what is a real Creme Brulee. read more

Wow, great food and outstanding service, a rare combination. Seafood was very good. My wife had the grilled meatloaf. Huge serving. Very tasty. The brussel sprouts and bacon were delicious and the I have to say the Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. And I've had a lot! Highly recommend. read more

We had dinner here tonight to celebrate our anniversary and I can say that it was the best meal I've had in a long time here in Paducah. Dont get me wrong we have some good restaurants but Grill 211 knocked it out of the park! Highly recommend the Oyster Rockefeller for appetizer and the Parmesan Crusted Grouper, OMGoodness! Delicious!!! And since it was our Anniversary they really took care of us and treated us with dessert( Carrot Cake) it was wonderful. Grill 211 we can not wait to come back!!! read more

Grill 211 The worst Ribeye Steak I have ever had. It had an off flavor not even closely resembling beef. The steak was Sous Vide and if you anyone who does this method of cooking knows the steak is not attractive coming out of the bag. For the steak to look good it needs a nice char. This steak had some light grill marks. The seasoning the steak was Sour Vide in did not compliment the steak. I sent the steak back for a good sear. I was hoping this would make an improvement. Unfortunately the only change, it looked better, but the off taste was disgusting and I could not eat it. My son had the same steak and he did eat his and said it was the worst steak he ever had. I express my disappointment, but no offer was to made to make the customer happy. I don't mind paying for a great meal, however it is painful to pay $50 plus for a terrible steak. My son complained all the way back to the hotel, he went in the bathroom and regurgitated his steak. read more

We celebrated Valentines Day here for our first visit knowing the other restaurants owned by them were always our favorite spots and as usual we were pleasantly pleased as my husband has Swordfish I had Filet and it was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten and I've had them from coast to coast trust me it was exactly what you want when you want a great steak or for that matter any food on the menu! We also got the stuffed Mushrooms as appetizers and I added the bacon wrapped scallops to my steak along with smashed heirloom potatoes with chives bacon and cheese (my side) they come in a iron skillet which of course I took half of my order home in a doggy bag! It was all spectacular! Dessert well New York Style Ricotta Cheesecake with fresh strawberries which I was skeptical about since I don't care for Ricotta at all well to my surprise I couldn't taste it but the Cheesecake was as the whole meal was absolutely superb! Will definitely be adding this to the top of the list of our favorite spots hum now they hold the top the spots on that list so that's says it all! read more

Friendly staff but food was terrible. Steak was tough, cold, and had no flavor. I love potatoes so figured those (smashed) would be good and they were also gross!! We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer and while they weren't the worst I've had, they weren't anything to brag about. I hate to be all negative but no one in our group enjoyed their meal. It's pretty sad when 2 of our 3 diners want to make a fast food stop after dropping $171 (before tip) on a meal here. One had the smoked meat loaf (not truly a meat loaf). It was dry and needed salt, and it was more like a meat patty. It was served with green beans. The chicken wraps were more like blended (literally in a blender) chicken, water chestnuts, whatever else "mixture" in a bowl with a sad half of a limp romaine lettuce head and dipping sauce. There was a teaspoon on the plate to serve up the chicken mixture. Third meal was salmon with green beans (small strip of salmon). Our server knew we didn't like 2 of our dishes (90% of food left on plates when cleared) and apologized. We weren't complaining to get a discount; it was simply feedback when asked. The restaurant was extraordinarily busy for a Monday night, and I think they were caught off guard. We're foodies and love great food and don't mind paying for it; eating when traveling is a favorite thing to do. However, there is always the "off" night, and there are small things restaurants can do to keep good will, especially when diners don't enjoy meals (even if they ordered "wrong", which we probably did). For the price of our $170 meal, we had a bottle of wine ($54), two glasses of sparkling water ($5/glass), an iced tea (juice glass size?) $3.25, and three entrees (smoked meat loaf $34, salmon $30 , chicken wraps $18). The prices are high in general, and that requires restaurants to make more effort to reach the customers who aren't completely satisfied; comp a drink or two, offer a dessert, etc. We will probably not go back based on tonight's experience. However, if the restaurant had offered more than the server's apologies, we would probably give it a second try; the setting is very nice and the menu is definitely eclectic. Very rude hostess. It is equivalent to going to some pompous 5 star restaurant, only it is not. It is really over priced mediocre place. Save your money and go somewhere else. The place was empty, but they acted like taking new customers was a disease. If you are in Paducah, there are many better options. For example, go to Paducah Brew Werks. The have always treated their customers right and the pepperoni chips are awesome if you special order the marinara sauce it will take it to a new plane. Anyway, go somewhere that is not Grill 211 and you will get better food for a better price. You might even find staff that doesn't hate. read more

Traveling through town, we of course relied on Yelp for places to consider for dinner and once again, Yelp nailed it. Walking in to Grill 211, we were welcomed as if we were old friends. The service was attentive and it seemed as if everyone genuinely wanted our experience to be extraordinary. We shared appetizers of Bacon Bourbon Jam, Smoked Pork Belly, and Crispy Brussels. Flavors were balanced with a nice play of sweet/salty/savory. The staff understood what many restaurants don't and that's timing courses and beverages. Eventful dining experiences (and this was an event) have a rhythm and good timing can enhance the party. Wine selection was well above average and the staff helpful but uncertain in some instances. I was glad when my daughter ordered the bone in ribeye special because I know I would get at it later and it was upscale steakhouse worthy. Duck breast was perfectly medium rare with crispy skin. Beet salad also gets high marks. We were seated near the kitchen but showed up on a Friday night without reservations and it wasn't intrusive at all. If you haven't tried this place, you owe it to yourself. If you're on a road trip, the few minutes you invest off route will reward you with a truly exceptional dining experience. read more

I was excited from the minute I stepped into this hidden gem. The menu changes daily which only makes me eager to come back and experience it again. The menu is filled with options that all sound amazing - what one would expect from a high end dining experience in a larger city. The food is all brought in fresh for each day and everything- including sauces - are made in house. We started out with the firecracker shrimp for an appetizer - highly recommend... The side salads are light, fresh, and delicious - I had a golden beet salad with goat cheese and a citrus vinaigrette dressing that was the first thing that caught my attention and did not disappoint while my husband had and enjoyed a Cesar salad. For mains - I opted for one of the chefs specialities Pork Belly fried rice while the husband went with a steak tenderloin. Although the pork belly wasn't exactly what I was expecting or hoping for (British style pork belly) it was equally delicious in its own way and I had no regrets for ordering it - the heaping pile of fried rice it came on was probably the best fried rice I've eaten in all my travels and dining. The husband absolutely enjoyed his steak and was kind enough to share a taste - beautifully cooked and the flavors of how it was cooked could be tasted from all depths of the steak. If you're looking for a nice place to eat with great ambiance, service and food - do yourself a favor and make reservations and enjoy. read more

Dirty martini had way too much olive brine. "Strawberry Fields" salad had way too much dressing but was otherwise delicious. My wife and I both had the seafood combo plate but with some different selections. The fried shrimp and the grilled shrimp were excellent, the best things of all. The grilled scallops were great but the pan seared scallops were just okay. The "crab cake" was three crab balls, which were very good. You get just one side with the entrees. I like rice with scallops and shrimp. The only rice choice was fried rice with pork belly. It was like cheap rice-a-roni that was burnt. The more I ate, the less I liked it. I ate only half. My wife had the broccolini. It was overcooked. She ate only half. Or waiter was mostly missing in action when we wanted him. It took forever for him to bring our dessert. It took forever to bring our check. Then he charged someone else's bill instead of ours to our card. It was $24 less than ours. I told him about it and it took forever to get corrected. Then he brought out that other person's bill with our receipt. He wasn't busy with customers just busy talking to other people. read more

Three of us had dinner 8/23. Had the crab cake and the brie wonton appetizers. The first was ok, the brie wontons (with a berry dipping sauce) were not good. Simply puffed up fried wonton with a small piece of brie inside. We assumed the cheese would be melted and oozing inside, but these arrived cold to our table, and the brie had already hardened. For dinner, one ordered the scallops with a side of fried rice and pork belly. He enjoyed the scallops, rice was ok Second diner ordered skewered shrimp with broccolini. Shrimp were ok, the broccolini was very undercooked, and inedible. I had the charbroiled meatloaf, and a side of Brussels sprouts with bacon. The meatloaf was one of those entrees where the first bite seemed tasty and unique, and every subsequent bite becomes less appealing. The portions were huge. I ate a little less than one (of two) slices of meatloaf. The Brussel sprouts were bizarrely grayish-green, not the vibrant deep green one would expect. These were hard and undercooked (if cooked at all). I ate one (only because I had no where to spit it out). To this day I am amazed why some wait staff fail to realize that good tips are directly related to good service. It's all in the details. One in my party wanted a bottle of Bud Light, not on tap. Of course, tap beer came to the table, without explanation.... one sip was taken. Upon the waiters return, it was mentioned that this was tap beer, of which he goes into some story about why they didn't have any bottled Bud Light at the time... It goes on, but I appreciate a waiter to be upfront with information, and let the diner decide. It's sad, as I was hoping that Paducah could have another nice 'finer dining/event" restaurant. But that's not the case here. Save yourselves the dissappointment, and go elsewhere. read more

Best shrimp, steaks, and even meatloaf! Fresh, tender vegetables with just a light, flavorful twist - no heavy creams, except for the 5 cheese Macaroni and cheese, served in its own iron skillet. Great bar options, too - definitely a favorite place to dine & enjoy! read more

We ate here last night when visiting the Fall Quilt Show. Great service, making us feel like special guests. I had the seafood pick-3 combo. The scallops were huge and fantastic. The flounder was also great. The crab cake was OK; I'd probably pick something else instead next time. My wife had the shrimp dinner and loved it. The sides we selected were VERY good - the smashed potatoes and grilled Brussels sprouts. The house made remoulade and tartare sauce were also outstanding. We will definitely come back next time we're in Paducah. read more
