Went to eat lunch around 2:30 pm at grill city with my family and I was discourage of what the food service worker's attitude towards paying customers. She ask guests with a harsh tone and I feel like she's mad about something, and as I was paying by the register, I ask the cashier if I can have a Melon Slushee and she said it's not available cause its bubbling. I look at the beverage and it's fine, so I told her that, why not take it out since you said it's bad instead of keeping it on display. What a terrible service. read more

I was excited to try this new restaurant inside of Seafood City so I decided to visit it for lunch. I ordered the chicken skewer lunch special. The bbq was very good, but half of the chicken was too fat to even eat. I know am a bit picky when it comes to chicken, but it made the rest of the meal very unappetizing. Disgusted on their service! Ordered a simple value meal for me and my wife TO GO. There was no other customers but us. Paid the cashier and left with a smile only to find out when we got home ready to eat that there was no entree inside the pack but just rice for both of us. We had to drive back to complain and get the food we paid for. I have never had this experience even back in the Philippines were I came from. Placed an order with someone named Chris on Wednesday and scheduled it to be picked up for a birthday party on Saturday. We get there and they have no clue who took the order and apparently do not know the names of their co-workers standing next to them. This is not the first time this has happened to us. The service of this place sucks. I order a platter and stated a platter of BBQ. Nothing complicated it is right there on their menu nice and big. Then the person who serves me asks other employees about it and they said go ahead and give the ones that is on the the tray. I thought that this was it and I go and pay for it. If you want an example of inefficiency just go to this place!! Staff are inattentive, often only one person taking your order and one cashier. Line is long because staff is moving at a snails pace, and have an oblivious work ethic! When I complained, the cashier rolled her eyeballs, sneered and turned her head away. I complained to their manager and suggested she should just sit down and watch how slow the line is moving. I doubt these people were trained and frankly I don't think the manager is trained either. Staff have an "I don't care attitude". Food is mediocre. I would rather drive to Pinoy Pinay in Cerritos and get better food and customer service than this place. read more

The grilled chicken and beef sticks are good. But my favorite is the grilled fish. Have been coming here to get my once a week fish meal. I wish they have more side dishes that have vegetables. I only have seen 2-3 and I always get the grilled eggplants, as the other are tasteless or too much of an acquired taste. The food is alright... overpriced, of course. But I don't have a better option in the area so this is where I go to get my Filipino food fix. When the lines get long, be prepared to spend your next half-hour there going through the process of getting your food. My only other problem with this location is the tall-ish guy behind the counter (I've seen him do both the serving and ringing up at the cash register on separate occasions) who ALWAYS has his airpods on. He will also take forever to acknowledge your presence even though he's not busy, and when he does finally ask you what you want to order and you start to tell him what you want, oftentimes he'll turn away from you completely because someone else behind the counter spoke to him. This has happened to me 3-4 times over the past 2 months with this same person. It's also just rude for a anyone in a customer-facing role of any sort, when you are on the job, to have earphones on--may they be actively in use or not. The food was dry, taste old and reheated. The Crispy Pata was very dry, hard and taste like old oil was used to fry the meat. The pork bbq, most of the meat was burned....What a waste of money!... Big Bang for your buck! This little cafeteria in the lobby of a clean Asian supermarket boasts of Filipino dishes that grills meat and seafood daily and offers a variety of choices. You could eat in or take it to-go. They have Halo halo and bibingka, and takes pre orders of chicken and pork barbecue to name a few. Store opens at 7 am but they don't seem to be quite ready at 7:01. Ordering is easy from the large LCD screen tv for easy viewing. Take the special offers that's numbered 1-2-3 and you'll get a great deal! Food is just like home I just wish they offer more vegetables besides meat meat and meat! Now for the reason why I scored it 2 stars. Set your watch and time it from the time you finished ordering and see if you beat my 5 minute wait, which seemed like nothing to you but when you have places to go, you may leave with a sour note. If paying time is brought to a minimum, you could have the best experience, but bring lots of patience in the meantime. Staff are so inefficient and don't seem to know what they are doing. We ordered the grilled squid and as the staff was slicing it, some (like 1/3 of it) of the squid fell off the floor. She didn't bother to give us a new one and just continue slicing the squid and serve us just the 2/3 left of the squid. So frustrating 'coz the staff just doesn't seem to care at all. read more

Food quality is, at best on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a 3. Go to Pam's Best in Lake Forest if you are looking for authentic, great quality Filipino food. The staff there are attentive, accommodating, and funny even on a busy day! Had a pork skewer and a ube shake. The ube shake was a disappointment and shouldn't even be called a "shake." It's more like a watered down slushy. I'll never order a "shake" or smoothly from this place again. Next time, I'm going to try the smoothy at Jollibee. I should start off by saying the food, i give 4-5 stars... So happy there's finally a filipino grocery store and restaurant close to me. The 2 Star is for service and the workers. I know they all work hard but c'mon... They have to step it up a bit, or a lot, if they don't want to piss off customers! They are so unorganized back there, slow and at times, just chatting while people wait in line to get their food or pay. How long does it take to get me or customers their cooked food, right in front of you, (not counting if its still in back cooking), pack them, put it in tray, and pay! People that are done with orders the beginning of the ordering process (not the second half where you can choose more things) should be able to go in front of line and pay and not wait for the rest of the people waiting for their orders to finish before I can pay! I tried calling in an order and nobody picks up the phone.... Must have tried more than 10x! I mean c'mon, how much busier are you than panda express McDonalds or other fast food that you cant pick up the phone??? Thats part of working in restaurant or fast food, pick up phone to take orders but nobody want to seem to pick up phone to take orders....
