Waba Grill already left a good spot in my heart from the first time I tried them at their Portola Location and this time they still didn't disappoint! I ordered my food in-store at about 4:46p and was assisted by Abby at the front counter. The lobby and place is so clean and well put together. Abby was very sweet and kind and friendly and she helped me fairly quickly. I came in for their Waba Steak & Chicken Rice Bowl and 5 Dumplings. I didn't realize I came in during Waba Grill's Happy Hour and so Abby offered me a drink to go along with my 5 Dumplings. I was curious about their NEW Drink Flavor: Dragonfruit Mango Lemonade and so I got that one. My food was ready in about 7-8 minutes and Said (One of the chefs) was so kind and gentle and handed me my food and thanked me for coming in. I ended up trying the Dragonfruit Mango Lemonade and my gosh, it is so sweet and tasty! I don't think I've had Dragonfruit Lemonade juice before so this was a great refresher in the summer heat! I would definitely try it again! Now, I was ready to eat on my Waba Rice Bowl when I noticed there wasn't any steak on my bowl. I went in and let Said know and he didn't hesitate. He went back and asked his chef (Alex) if he could make some fresh steak for my bowl. Y'all, between Abby and Said and Alex, these hard workers definitely do go out of their way to make sure their customers are satisfied and taken care of! They definitely left a great enough impression for me to want to come back and support their business even further. One of my favorite fast food spots. The store is clean. The guy who runs the place is very friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes to new customers. The food is amazing and fresh. My favorite is the WaBa plate, it has half chicken and half beef over rice, small salad and 3 dumplings. I load up on the WaBa sauce, that's a tasty sauce. Don't forget to get the fresh green onions to sprinkle over your plate. We usually get an extra side of dumplings as well. read more

The Employees, service and food are always excellent here. BUT! Reason for the 1 star is this is the second time going here during summer, both times the dining area has been hotter than outside, today it was 94 degrees, I can't even imagine how hot it is in the kitchen for the employees, Is that legal? The AC was never a problem before and was always super cool, don't know what happened, but the owner should be ashamed of themselves. Take care of your employees and patrons provide them with basic decent work/ dining environment so your employees and your patrons can be comfortable in. Especially during extreme hot summers. This place was great, I ordered my food and it was done before I filled up my drink, and the cashier was very nice. The area is a little bad, the car next to me was beat up and smelled like smoke, but like the bad kind. Anyways, the workers were polite and I got my food and left. The people driving went from good to bad pretty quickly, some old lady almost hit my car but I backed out before she had the chance to mistaken the brake for the gas. The inside is much better than before (minus the second restroom being closed) but very few customers were here. The restroom was taken care of, nothing filthy, just a typical restroom. It's actually nice to have a drive thru, just because orders don't take very long and most customers know what they're getting. But I ordered in the store, just took my stuff to a park and enjoyed it. This area used to be a Omega Burger place, they're not bad businesses but they get created new bad areas. It's just low income, so don't judge it too harshly, you get a few oddball customers (meaning, they're not buying food) and the parking structure could be better. Overall a good place, if you know the menu just order drive thru, if you don't know the menu go inside and the workers are nice. The inside is clean, but I don't trust this area to leave your car unattended, it's why I let to eat. I thought the food was worth it, but the gyozas are tiny (they're bigger across the street at Yoshinoya) but they were fine. For readers/viewers, please excuse my vulgarity and transparency but I felt I have to be to explain why I gave the rating I did. Upon my arrival, I stood in line in front for almost 10min w/o someone acknowledging me. I watched the women working take orders through drive thru, online but never once said anything. I watched the girls in the look at me but again never said anything to me. At first I thought it was and maybe I stood in wrong place but the girl asked me if anyone had helped me already. I told her "No," and she apologized that no one did. After I ordered I needed to use the restroom. I went to the bathroom and had to do a bowel movement. As I was in the middle of it a guy randomly walked in on me. Apparently the lock/code doesn't work so my privacy got violated. To add injury to insult, there WAS NOT any toilet paper in the restroom or paper towels so I was not able to properly wipe and clean myself. I was not able to enjoy my lunch with my wife and I will definitely reporting the restaurant. They need to get new employees and make sure the restaurant/establishment is properly functioning, maintenance and stocked. I WILL BE ESCALATING. read more

We ordered from WaBa Grill via Uber Eats, and overall, the experience was decent but had a few hiccups. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Brown Rice Bowl, and it was great--flavorful, and the portion size was solid. However, I requested green onions on the side, and unfortunately, they forgot to include them. Not a huge deal, but it would have added a nice touch to the bowl. The other order, a Chicken and Veggies Bowl, was less satisfying. It came without any sauce, making it pretty dry. I get that some people might not want sauce, but it really should be included on the side by default. Without it, the bowl was lacking in flavor and moisture. All in all, the food was tasty where it counted, but attention to detail was lacking. I'd consider ordering again, but I'd be extra clear about the sides and sauces next time. read more

I had a pleasant experience at this fast food joint. I became a vegetarian before this fast food joint was established or founded. I have seen the fast food joint for years but could never able to dine there since there was no option for me. Recently, about 2 weeks ago, they came up with Plantspired Steak that is vegan. After doing a little research about how the 'steak' is cooked (whether it is separately from the meat grill) I am convinced. I even asked and watched how it was cooked and happy with the results. I have been a fan of teriyaki flavors. Their sauces are vegan (except ranch dressing) and happy that there is only a little dab on top of the 'steak' and I could pump more sauce if I need more. This way I can control the saltiness. I ordered the Plantspired Bowl with no rice but veggies only. The veggies are lightly steamed. In my opinion this is better or healthier than eating burgers, pizzas, or tacos. The restaurant is also clean and there is a drive thru. read more

Lately have been noticing the total price increasing despite ordering the same thing every time. Today my total came out to $40 and I was very much confused why it was so much for just two steak bowls w avocado and drinks. I inspected the receipt and noticed I was getting charged $10 for 2 sides of avocado when the sign clearly says $2.50. I brought it up to the attention of the cashier who helped me but she wasn't aware of processing a refund. There wasn't any manager or lead, or anyone trained who could help with the situation so definitely felt off putting and like I was getting scammed. Diring our most recent visit, my wife's beef bowl had a thick, sharp piece of bone in it. My wife obviously didn't see this and it ended up cutting her mouth and hurting her teeth. So I chose this particular location based on the amount of high reviews and the fact that it was was close by. I actually called my order in and arrived 10 minutes later to pick it up. To my surprise it appeared to be a fairly new location and it had a drive-thru. This is my 1st time ever seeing a wabba grill with a drive-thru. I'm glad that they finally definitely decided to do that because having a drive-thru is so convenient. Waba FTW ^__^! I have always been a fan of Waba since the very first time I tried it! Back then there was only locations in north county {Anaheim & Orange} so I'd only be able to get it when we were in the area.. fast forward to 2022.. Now I have my own location close to me! This location is on a super busy street so be careful coming in and out {especially during the lunch and dinner hours} I usually come after 6:30 so I don't have an issue with lines or crowds. The staff gets the food out super fast and it's soo fresh! Not to mention the staff is so nice and they aren't stingy with the condiments/sauces that are in the mini fridge behind the counter, plus endless WaBa sauce at the self serve pump FTW!! I had a bad experience at the Anaheim location by the Northgate market & I will never go back, because of their stinginess and terrible food! This location runs a smooth ship! It's always super clean, the floors don't feel sticky when you walk on them, the tables are clean. The self serve Waba sauce pumps are spotless! I never feel grossed out touching them. You can tell they are always wiping them down, never a trail of sauce to be found! It's little things like that, that let you know the owner of this location takes pride in the store and that trickles down to the employees. My food is always so fresh and on point! I love the potstickers with the chicken bowl {only carrots, no broccoli or cabbage}. Sometimes my sister eats with me but shes a Yoshinoya girl ,me not so much LOL!
