The chicken in the chicken katsu was almost non-existent; a very thin (as thin as my chopsticks) and dry chicken jerky with a thick layer of bread crumbs. If you love meat and huge portions, this is your place. No matter what we've ordered here, we always find that there's more than enough to fill you up. The platters all include macaroni, rice and veggies (cabbage). There's a number of combinations that can include chicken, beef, fish (Mahi) and other items. We have often ordered the shrimp, fish and chicken combo, and always find there's plenty for leftovers. At about $15 and above for each platter, it is good value as well. The beef combo that includes beef ribs and beef is one of the best values you can get for this quality of meat anywhere in the area. Food comes out quick and it's all delicious. The katsu, fish and shrimp are deep-fried but I still appreciate that it didn't taste like it was dripping with oil, just crispy and tender inside. The shop can get crowded so at the peak times, you may need to wait for a table but not long. For groups of more than 6, you likely need to sit separately as the tables are not movable. Staff are good, and it never felt dirty or uncomfortable, just a great place to visit especially convenient if you want to shop at nearby Walmart, Lowe's or Costco. read more
