The food here is okay, definitely the best in milford but not sure if that's saying much..I ordered a bacon cheese burger here and I asked for it medium rare..which it was.. but the next day I had the worst food poisoning, I also asked to have cheesy bacon fries with my food and that was a terrible decision! I got hard French fries with cold shredded cheese and a few crumbs of bacon!! If you are going here I HIGHLY suggest you get pasta or something along the lines of that, this place is truly a hit or miss, other times I have ordered this burger and it was delicious! This time, not so much.. the owner is very friendly and the staff here are very pleasant! My son and I ordered food for curbside pickup last night and I was very disappointed with a number of things. I gave my card information over the phone so that I didn't have to pay once I got there but for some reason the person I talked to never rung it up so I had to wait for that to get taken care of after we arrived to pick up the food. Once we got home, I opened up the mozzarella triangles container and they were dark brown and visibly burnt. My son and I couldn't even finish them because they tasted so bad. The ribs that I ordered in place of the other meal that they were all out of were very tough to chew with hardly any meat on them and not worth the $18 price tag. The mac and cheese that came with the meal had no flavor to it. I will not be ordering food from here again. read more

Went for the first time tonight for dinner. Wait Staff were very pleasant and attentive. It was nice the owner came out to the table to say thank you for coming. We went here for the first time for my sisters birthday . Delicious! Everything was made from scratch and everyone was super friendly. We order calamari for an appetizer, I do not eat it however, it smelled so delicious and looked so good I had to try it! Sold sooo good! I had chicken parm, my only complaint it I like my chicken parm flat not chicken balls however their home made sauce was to die for. The sauce had chunks of onion, tomatoes and garlic! Love it! For desert we all ordered the chocolate silk pie. Best thing we had ever eaten ! The owner came over to our table talked with us and told us about him! Love it! It was sent back as my husband was enjoying his meal...Mine came back still rare BUT they gave me a new bun that was harder than a rock and wilted lettuce and a tomato I wouldn't feed to a goat.The server asked how it was I showed him.. he sent the "manager over" she was holding someone's plate of food DID NOT say who she was I had to ask..... she offered another meal? As a self appointed food critic, I hold reviews until after visit 3. After visit 4, I can say this establishment is the real deal. The food has been spot on each any every time. The Kitchen staff is incredible - ALL OF THEM! The waitstaff is above par...you are not waiting for anything. The seafood is cooked perfectly and the burgers (build your own) are flavorful and juicy. Only 2 drawbacks that I can pin point: no rolls/bread with butter and dessert menu is missing basic chocolate cake. I will be returning again and again in the near future. I went here a few months ago and few restaurants have left me so disappointed. First, the entree selection was so small, that my whole family had trouble deciding on which item they disliked the least. We settled on incredibly overpriced salads. We would have left to go elsewhere, but we were starving, figuratively. Next, when asking for a cocktail menu, the waitress said they didn't have one, but they had a wine list. For a restaurant with a full bar, this was surprising, and very obviously not thought out. When you start a restaurant, it seems you would give deep thought to your food selection and, if there's any proper sense, equal thought to your cocktail menu. There seemed to be barely a thought for the entrees and absolutely zero thought for the former. Incredibly disappointing With that said, the chicken salad was good, the vegetables and greens fresh, and well prepared and presented. My 5 year-old kid's mac and cheese (or ziti and cheese, if memory serves), was passable enough for her to eat too. As a final (and irrationally infuriating point), the waitress, continuously referred to my wife as madam. Not pronounced "mad-imm", but "muh daahm." It felt like she peppered her with that twice a sentence. If the management pushed that on the waitstaff, cut the crap. You aren't that fancy by leaps, bound, miles, and light years. Stop. Immediately. It is so condescending and dumb as to be asinine. STOP. STOOOOOOP. I will not go back here ever. This is our go-to local place for a casual meal with or without the kids. Lots of great options on the menu with some of our favorites being the spinach artichoke dip with fresh pita chips and beer battered fried haddock. The wings leave a lot to be desired but with so many other delicious items this is easily accepted. The outside patio is tastefully decorated, spacious and has a bar open in the summer. First red flag was the server telling us that they were short staffed and that it "will take a long time" to get our food. She wasn't kidding! Drinks were bland and for mediocre. Husband order the steak fritte which came out 30 mins later and without the garlic/blue cheese marinade causing steak to have no flavor. Stopped for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We were there during trivia night and the place was hopping. There was a steady stream of arrivals and the entertainment was fun. The food was plentiful and mostly delicious. Husband had fish and chips which he said was very good. I had the baked stuffed haddock that was just OK. The haddock was a little bland and I didn't care for the stuffing. The service was very good with our waitress being very attentive. We shared the bread pudding which was so large we brought half of it home. It wasn't the best bread pudding we have ever had but it was pretty good. Stopped in on a whim to check out this new watering hole, and we're sure glad we did. Interior environment far exceeded my expectations. Great decor and overall vibe. Sat at the bar, just had some wine and some appetizers. The mussels were to die for, also had the fried pickles and soup du jour, also great but the mussels.... The service was fantastic and we were even visited by the owner doing his due diligence, so we were able to compliment Eric directly. Great food, better service. Both of us had burgers, and both of us said we hadn't had such a good one in some time, each cooked to perfection for the doneness levels we had requested. Sides were also perfect. We came up from NJ to visit friends in Amherst, NH. They debated about where we should go for lunch - not many choices there. This place looks like an old McDonalds. We were seated in a room with all windows. Not cozy - we were a bit chilled sitting in there. The menu looked impressive- especially prices compared to Jersey! My husband ordered a beef stew soup and our friend ordered clam chowder. My husband said the soup tasted like Heinz gravy with some meat and potatoes put in. Blah. Not savory. The chowder - well, real chowder is going to be a bit runny. This looked like wall paper paste. So thick! We ordered the Thai Shrimp. Someone remarked it was basically fried shrimp with a sweet/sour sauce dumped on top. Way too saucy. Hamburger came out literally looking like a meatball on roll - never seen anything like it. My friend ordered a lamb burger - suggested to order rare/medium rare- it was was neither. Slathered with feta. She said it was "different". Very disappointing. Could be done up right but not a cozy environment. Probably good place to go for a beer. They were embarrassed for taking us there. They had never been before and probably not going back. read more

This is an adequate restaurant. Can always find a beer on the menu and they try to do a decent spread of menu. The owner is present and very involved and I like that about it. Unfortunately that doesn't make up for the experience itself. Nothing is bad really, but we've been served drinks in dirty glasses, given dirty silverware, received poor service and gotten fries that were so over cooked they were hollow. Last time we were in my husband ordered a shrimp po boy which was impressive (I have to believe someone here spent some time in the south) but he ordered the rabbit fries with it and the waitress said "we don't do those anymore" with no other options or suggestions. After we ordered we overheard a different waiter say the same to someone else and he suggested sweet potato fries. My husband was disappointed because he would have ordered those instead of given the opportunity. Another time on the patio I told our waitress that I smelled smoke and she said "oh yes, we smoke all of our own meats!" but then I started seeing smoke and pointed it out again still with no real reaction. Finally another girl came out from inside and began pouring water on the mulch fire that was starting right next to our table... That says nothing about the food or the restaurant itself, but the staff doesn't seem to take much pride or ownership in the business and that is frightening to think of when you're asking them to feed you. read more

I love this place. They have the best hamburger in town and the staff is amazing. I have only been there a handful of times and by the second visit they recognized me by face and welcomed me, as if they had known me for years. Each time I have been the owner is there and he always takes the time to come up and introduce himself and thank you for your business. At the same time he doesn't hover over you, so it's the perfect balance of attention and appreciation. To add to this, he has hired the perfect staff...each person who has waited on me has had a great personality and has been very accommodating. In particular I went in one day a few days before I was having a procedure, so I had a relatively restricted diet. They went out of their way to make sure what I was getting was okay for me to eat and that I was happy with the taste, despite the restrictions. Very nice food, great service. I was here a few weeks ago for lunch and had a great burger. This time for dinner I had the baked stuffed haddock. It was not in a traditional cooking pan covered with stuffing, but instead on a dinner plate with the strip of fish ON the stuffing. It was very good. Wife had the ribeye. Good for a restaurant of this type. Not exactly a Costco ribeye cooked over hardwood coals like I would do at home, but it was good enough. read more

Stopped by Friday night and had the fish and chips. Fish was flavorful and a good quantity. Fries were tasty but portion was a little small in my opinion. My wife had the broiled swordfish which was very good. Waitress was also efficient and in a pleasant mood. All in all food was good, but if you are looking for wow factor you won't find it here. I just discovered Grill 603. The first experience was so positive, I returned a few days later with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food here is stupendous. All is made fresh onsite, including Soups (try Thai, which is to die for) and desserts. Their pulled pork is slow roasted in their kitchen, and is delicious. The crab cakes are the best I have ever had - his own recipe - no fillers! The maple seared scallops were large and fresh from Boston - extremely tender - and served with the most tasty risotto I have ever had (I typically don't like risotto, but couldn't stop eating this tasty dish). The service is outstanding - the owner has come out to greet me on both occasions and the wait staff never leaves one neglected. Prices are reasonable, in fact, low for the extraordinary quality. We had dinner here during our first visit. A beautiful fall day but we opted for indoor bar seating. Very busy for a Sunday afternoon. Bar was busy - appeared to be lots of locals which is always a good sign. Unfortunately, it appeared there was a shortage of help as it took over 10 minutes to get waited on. Just as we were starting our "should we or shouldn't we leave?" conversation an aproned man appeared from the kitchen. Noticed he was scanning the restaurant and he quickly approached us, asked if our drink order had been taken and promptly took our order. Great sign! The bartender then came over, asked if we had been helped - when we explained we had given our order she smiled, explained he was the owner and that he is always "pitching in and watching my back". Another good sign. Had great beef salad, burger/salad. Both cooked perfectly. Order appeared quickly - when bartender gave us tab she noticed a double charge for an iced tea - no biggie but she insisted on adjusting total. Final good sign. We will return! read more

One star, because I've had enough, not going back. Been there maybe 6-7 times, place has been steadily going downhill. Well-done does not mean hockey-puck burnt cinder. The wings are "okay" but a good example of seizing defeat from the jaws of victory. All they have to do is toss them in a container with a ladle of sauce IMMEDIATELY after they come out of the fryer- don't just plop the wings down and slather loads of sauce all over them. What a bummer. Caesar salad... not supposed to be warm and limp. And, when someone orders a 21-dollar item and tells you it sucks and did not eat it, you DO NOT charge them for it! This was the final straw for me, hope it was worth it to the management. The service is C+ at best, emphasis seems to be on the drinking customers. Took about 10 minutes to get a drink order taken, took another 15 to get something on the table to eat (what- no bread or crackers or SOMETHING to keep me occupied?) On the plus side, hostess was pleasant, place was clean, not hard to find parking. Maybe cuz I spent time in the restaurant business I am a bit demanding, but this is real money they charge and I expect real food and real service. read more
