It came out with Cheese on 40%, tomato sauce on 60%, 3 tiny basil leaves, burnt, 10 small morsels of tasteless sausage. That's it! The bill came to $71.94 including tip. I had visited my friends in flower mound, Texas and after watching an episode of the chef's table - special pizza episode in Netflix, I was trying to try some authentic Italian pizza. We searched and found Grimaldi and pulled the entire family to have an pizza night. We were so desperate that we went at 3 o'clock and were told to come back at four because the ovens were just getting started so we loitered around and then went back at four and it was 30 minute wait even then and then so we had a glass of wine at the bar and then when our name got called, we were seated. Some of the stars got reduced because we were waiting for about 30 minutes before Anybody could even come and ask us for an order or if we are ready to order. Neighbouring tables had guests come, got the pizza before we raised our hand and asked somebody to help us. She said that the water glasses are all the dishwasher and if she could give us water and go to cups. We said okay and even then the water didn't come till we called the Manager and asked them to serve water and take our order. We ordered the pesto vegetarian large pizza and a small sausage, pepperoni onion jalapeño non-veg pizza. I must say the pizza was excellent, Thin crust. very well done on the coal brick fired oven brick and we enjoyed the dinner, albeit the experience with ordering. Vibe is super cute! We sat at the bar and started with drinks and the Antipasto, which was great. Then got a "build your own" pizza with traditional sauce and cauliflower crust. We've been to this location many times. This was by far the worst experience that I've had at a restaurant. Shortly after being seated the ac started dripping next to our table. I let the waitress know as the main walkway going to the bathroom was next to our table. The manager delivered our pizza, I let him know. He grabbed a wet floor caution sign. Over the next hour the drip turned into a shower, the water was dripping off of the light fixtures. I was concerned as the fixtures had external electrical wires. I went to the front of the restaurant and spoke to a woman standing next to the kitchen. Her response was, " I know, we handled it." I asked her how she handled it if no one knew, she said she knew and they turned off the ac. I explained the ac was still on over our heads and the water was now dripping steadily, it was now all over the floor and people were trying to get through to go to the bathroom and someone was going to fall. The woman continued to rudely respond that it was not an issue. I asked that she at least clean up the water or place down buckets to catch the water. I returned to my table where now our waitress was standing, she apologized for the shower (as she was also now being showered) I asked her who the manger was she explained the woman I spoke to was the General Manager!! She also explained that this happens every single summer at this location. We waited for our check and to-go boxes. By this point or had been in the restaurant for about two hours and my husbands back and leg was soaked. As we got up from the table, the bus boy dropped table cloths and buckets on the ground for people to walk over/on. On the way out my husband spoke to the GM, she said there was nothing she could do and she had addressed the issue. My husband explained she should have come to the table and at least apologized or offered to move us. She finally apologized after he explained he was also a GM and there was no reason for her behavior. I sent an email to the Corporate Office when I left as I felt it was a safety issue, I specifically asked that the GM not contact me... well the GM emailed me and said that she didn't offer to move us because we didn't give her adequate time to move us... read more

This place is a gem! It's great for family nights or relaxed date nights. The pizzas are very authentic and the flavor it's amazing! Coal brick ovens. They have about three sizes (12", 16", and 18") I believe, and you can do combinations of half and half. The place have plenty of indoors and covered outdoors seating, for small and large parties. They have a great selection of wines (6oz, 9oz, and bottled), and cocktails. Their signature cocktails (vodka, tequila, rum, etc) are about $13, and the desserts include cannoli, tiramisu, and cheese cake. Service was extremely nice, and prompt, they give you good recommendations, and check on you continuously. The Quattro formagio is my favorite add house made sausage and mushroom it is fantastic. My wife really likes the cheese calazone add spinich and mushrooms, its pretty tasty. The salads and bruschetta are also very good. There is a large well paired wine list and beer, signature cocktails as well. This place is great we go here a few times a year. I am not sure where to start with this one. TripAdvisor should be ashamed to have this place as a number one. If you are going for a nice place to sit in an expensive area for a drink...sure this place will qualify. However, the food was not worth 1/3 of the cost it was set at. Let's start in on the pizza. The pizza crust might have been the only thing decent tonight. It was definitely not the sauce. For some reason, it tasted almost as if they poured canned sauce with no seasoning on the pie, then baked it. I would not be surprised if someone told me the toppings weren't fresh. Next up would be the restaurant itself. The ceilings were cool to look at, and inside was nice. Unfortunately, we were seated towards the back hearing an annoying sound during the whole meal. The A/C squealing nonstop ruined any type of nice conversation. It would stop but then turn back on, leaving a ringing in the ears. Sadly, even if you moved a few tables over, it was not any better. In conclusion, if you want to take your family out, I would skip this place. Both Flower Mound and Highland Village have some hidden gems, especially for pizza. read more

We've been here a couple of times, somehow we seem to forget about it because I'm the only one in our family that is always open to eat pizza. They have a pretty nice patio and a cool bar in which it's completely open so you can sit outside the building or order inside the restaurant. I'm sure the outside is closed when it was good but when we went it was open and it was still warm outside. The last time we went we went unusually late around 10 PM. It's surprising how many restaurants in the Highland Village area that close by 10 PM or earlier on a Friday night. Grimaldi's are open to 11 PM which is nice. At the last occasion we didn't get any appetizers, we shared the pizza called The Don which comes with Italian sausage, meatballs and pepperoni. They cook the pizza in a coal-fired brick-oven and it's a pretty thin crust which I like. They have pretty big chunks of the sausage and meatballs which I like so you get more flavor in those bites. They also have calzone's but I haven't tried those yet. We ordered the medium 16" pizza which was more than enough for two adults and have leftovers to bring home. Service was great, the server was available and more than happy to give tips without being in the way. It's hard to find good pizza in this area, this is becoming one of my favorites. read more
