They don't even have a front desk. There is a round table where people can just put their stuff and talk. There are no annoying staff members walking around either. Its very relaxed. There is a fridge with food and drinks inside and you just leave money in a box on the wall. You can also bring friends in with a 5 day pass. Its also open 24 hours so you just let yourself in with your FOB. Since I signed up, Forze has hosted two competitions which is great way for people to come get involved with fitness and check out the gym. That community aspect is something really special that you won't find at a corporate gym. From the time I came in to inquire about a membership, to the time I left with my key FOB, I knew this was a great gym for me. We came here looking for a gym that didn't have that corporate gym vibe and this is just that! The owner is almost always at the gym sitting in the loft or working out or socializing. He is very up front and to the point when it comes to joining the gym but very hospitable and friendly. Forze has everything you can think of from squat racks, deadlift platforms, free weights, climbing ropes, gymnastics rings, TRX, monkey bars, peg boards, all kinds of barbells, a yoke, cardio equipment, kettlebells, medicine balls, personal trainers, resistance equipment, cables, benches, tires and hammers, and more! I usually go to the Strength & Conditioning classes and I like alternating between strength and cardio unlike OTF classes, where you are on the treadmill for 30 min. straight-through (which I think would be horrible for the knees after a while...). It no longer feels as warm or welcoming, which is unfortunate. It is also too small to really continue serving my needs. Too much wait for equipment, gets very crowded upstairs especially when much of the usable space is being occupied by an obnoxiously loud class. You will get tired of hearing the same music on repeat if you come here often. I suggest earbuds and your own playlists. Also, they recently raised the prices and it just isn't worth it anymore. I recently put in my 30 days for cancelation and my husband will be following suit as he doesn't use it often enough to justify the continued cost.

They said I need to come in person to sign up and activate the deal. When I got there, the reception desk told me they couldn't offer the deal to the visitor from out of state. I was so confused and angry as they could have said the same thing over the phone when I had called to enquire about the deal. I would have gone to some other gym. I had to pay $30 to use the facility. Such a bad customer service. The gym was good. They have good workout space and good locker room facilities including steam, sauna and hot tub. Steam and hot tub are cohead. So prepare to bring bathing suits. If the customer service was good, they would absolutely get higher rating.

Pros: Great staff…read more Great energy. Class members are supportive. Classes and workouts are easy to follow but always challenging. You'll never outgrow the system. The app allows you to track progress and has daily workouts easy to do at home. It's worth the money if you show up at least 5 days each week. Cons: There's a published "fine" for cancelling a class too late or no showing but the Timonium location has doubled it. This mostly affects the 6 & 7 am classes and early weekend classes. I will note if you have a one time legitimate reason to miss unexpectedly you can ask for forgiveness. Recently they've increased the class maximum size but the space the gym is in can't really handle the extra people and it often feels too crowded when they jam the class.
