Oh my goodness. I had the BEST time/ experience here at this cute little Winery. I had the pleasure of meeting Randy (I believe his name was) He was oh so sweet and very helpful. Loved the wine tasting concept along with the little crackers to compliment the wine. Oh, and when I checked in on Yelp I guess there was a little promo of getting a free Wine slushy too!! My mom and I have been coming to this winery ever since we stumbled upon the vineyards in 2018 for our annual girls trip. We have been huge fans of the wines and make it a priority to stop at the tasting room to buy a few bottles and do a tasting every time we visit Nashville. Each time, we've had amazing service and even better wines. We love listening to the staff talk about the different types of wine they have for tasting. Sadly the experience we had a couple of weeks ago at the tasting room really put us off Grinder Switch. When we walked in, we weren't even greeted with a hello. The lady that was helping us, had a HORRIBLE attitude and honestly looked like she didn't enjoy her job or the customers at all. I do not remember her name, but I do know that she had facial piercings. We ordered a tasting and would not tell us anything about the wine we were tasting. At one point, my mom asked for a water and she acted like it was a chore just to do that. After being loyal customers for years and never having a bad experience here, we were definitely disappointed. We walked out of the tasting room not purchasing any bottles, and most likely will not be returning. Please train your employees to be a little more hospitable. read more

I checked this place out for a friend's birthday. We went for a tasting and pairing on Saturday evening around 5 pm. The owner was the one who explained all the tastes and pairings and she was wonderful! We tasted about 8-10 different wines and had wonderful cheese and nut options with them. I would highly suggest this as a fun thing to pop in and do when you are in town. You do have to book the pairings option in advance but it looked like you can do walk in tastings. Also, we decided to join the wine club! They offer a quarterly subscription option and you end up getting a discount (along with free tastings) and you can freeze your membership if you need to skip a quarter. read more

Super cute little winery and area! We learned about this winery on a double decker bus tour and decided to try it out. We arrived around 5:15 (they close at six) and were warmly greeted by the staff. My boyfriend and I chose to sample the 4 sweet wines for $5 per person, but if you buy a bottle afterward you are not charged the tasting fee... of course we had to buy a bottle! We also decided to get wine slushies because I had a coupon, and boy were they delicious! We were able to choose between sangria and pineapple AND choose what type of wine we wanted in them... how cool is that?! We were then able to walk around the hallways of the building which was set up similarity to a museum showcasing automotive history and much more! I would definitely stop back on my next Nashville trip! read more

I was invited back after having a negative experience with an employee. The manager Sherri was amazing. We sat with her for a private wine tasting/pairing. She truly made us feel welcomed and drove home the family/friends feeing of the family owned company. We sampled a variety of their wines and learned a little about each one. We met with a few other employees and really got to feel the love and pride they had for the job. In the end we walked out with two amazing slushies and two bottles of wine!!! So happy to have received a second chance with such an amazing company. Sad I'll be moving, but thankful I will be able to buy their wines online!!!! Thanks again Sherri!!! read more

Wine was just okay. Service on the other hand was horrible. The young girl with the blue hair had the worst attitude from the moment we walked in to when we ordered and during the tasting. At one point she asked me to put on my mask as I was sipping out of the glass because I was close to and looking the merchandise. Then at the end she asked "only the tasting, anything else?". Such a horrible experience on what was a beautiful day so far. Do not waste your money or time here! read more

I cannot rave enough about the private tasting we did for my bachelorette party at Grinder's Switch! It was the highlight of my entire trip. We scheduled the tasting for 8, and we entered the location to see it all set up with cheese and chocolate pairings. It was an AMAZING spread right off the bat. The presentation was top notch. Our tasting manager was very knowledgeable, giving us background on all the wines and the pairings. The pairings were huge for a wine tasting and allowed us to snack while we enjoyed our wines. We also got a lot of background on the winery. My favorite wines were the drier red variety; they have a ton of sweeter wines, which aren't my favorite, but they were still good with the pairings. At the conclusion of the tasting, they helped us ship wines home and set us up with cups of frosè to enjoy as we walked around. The service and presentation are unparalleled. The waitress was very sweet and personable. I wish I would have gotten her name. This is my second time coming here. First time I came on a tour and stopped for a slushy. This time I came back for the wine tastings. I tried the 4 sweet wines. She provided oyster crackers and spoke on each wine before serving. She had a lot of knowledge about the wines she had. They had a nice little gift shop as well with coasters, napkins with sayings on them and other little knick knacks. Such a cute little place. We were worried when we pulled up to the building there were tons of people outside but they were just in line to get on a tour. Just a small tasting room. The wines weren't my favorite BUT the tasting was inexpensive and the slushy was delicious. You pick your flavor strawberry or melon and then choose your wine to mix it with. I was there with my mom, aunts, and grandma. The military discount is great. Grandma has her ID and she got free tastings and slushees. She also got a discount on her merchandise. read more

GSW in Nashville is a smaller space inside of the Marathon Automobiles building (lots of other various vendors inside, too), but, they still have 3 different $5 taste tests (which are free with bottle purchase), depending upon your preference for wine varieties. The bartenders are knowledgeable & inviting (thanks, Mackenzie!). Their wines are quite good & span the spectrum from sweet to dry. Don't bother. . . The woman with Blue hair provided horrible services. She honestly ruined the experience. She's looked at us over her phone as though we were interrupting her. She rushed us through the process mumbling what it was in the glass... We had purchased a bottle from every other place we had stopped, but here we just wanted to get out as soon as we started the tasting. mediocre wine can seem better when presented by excellent customer service and hospitality but here it was just mediocre wine and an absolutely horrible time. Great Wine!! This is a must stop for wine lovers! There is a selection of merchandise to check out including t-shirts, kitchen towels, cork screws, and more. The staff is very friendly and will be happy to answer questions and offer tastings. I have had the pleasure of meeting Jacob, Micol, and Ashley on different visits. Now the important part - the tasting! There is a small fee from $3 to $6 depending on which wine you want to taste. I love this. You can have a one ounce taste of the wine you like before you commit to purchasing a whole bottle. I'm a dry red wine drinker so I can tell you these are my favorite. I have tried the sweet wines and like them but just can't drink much of anything sweet. I don't even drink sweet tea anymore. The great news is there is something here for everyone's taste. The wines: Rebel - My absolute favorite! This wine is made from the estate grown touriga nacional grape which is a Portuguese grape. It is a dry red. The other dry reds they offer are Three-Eighty-Two from a chambourcin grape and Colleytown which is a syrah blend. Ivory Mist is an off-dry white wine from the Cayuga grape. I can tell you it goes very well with chicken or fish and summer picnics. I know this from experience. Now for the sweet wine lovers: Blondy is a sweet wine wine and if you like Moscato I'm convinced you will love this one. And for the sweet red wine drinkers they have Switch Red from the Concord grape which is the same grape that makes grape juice but this one will give you a different feeling than grape juice. Razzbury is available for the berry wine drinkers. If you are in the area and love local wines, this is a must stop. read more

My mother, sister, and I came here recently for a girls trip to Nashville. We were looking for a winery and this one came up in our Google search so we decided to try it out. We opted to pay for the wine and cheese pairing. We were seated in a private area in the back with another couple. The decor was really nice, but it looked like it was also used as a storage space. The lady who did the pairing was wonderful! She was so easy to talk to and did a great job in talking about the wines! The winery itself is a little hard to find as it is in an old brick building, but the building is filled with shops and boutiques and a coffee shop! It was such a great find and we ended up spending a few hours there. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves! We even bought 4 bottles to take back home to Chicago! read more

The place was super busy, I mean SUPER busy, but each employee was attentive, friendly and helpful. This little shop is tucked in the back of the mall and has a variety of cute gifts, interesting snack items along with the wine bar. The wines offer vary from dry to sweet and incorporate concord and muscadine grapes along with citrus accents. The aroma of muscadine is lovely and puts everyone in a good mood! Fun experience! Cute family owned vineyard about 15 min away from downtown & from the airport area. Wines were good (the sweets were too sweet IMO but this is certainly a personal choice).
