ROSARIO S. CASSATA AT GRINDER'S SWITCH WINERY AT MARATHON VILLAGE IN TENNESSEE.
    Rosario S. C.

Grinder's Switch Winery, located in the Marathon Village of Tennessee, offers a great selection of reasonably priced wines. They provide tastings, and the knowledgeable, entertaining staff creates an enjoyable experience. The winery's perfect location, with its proximity to many other shops and eateries including the American Picker's Store, makes it easy for visitors to park across the street in the convenient lot.

Grinder's Switch Winery is one of the primary reasons we make the trek to Marathon Motors. I'm not a wine person, but I always leave with a couple bottles. This trip it was the raspberry and seasonal cranberry. Their fresh, fruity taste won me over. Also, Caitlyn is just the perfect host and it's always a pleasure to explore their wines with her.

Grinder's Switch Winery is located inside the Marathon Village. I love wine so I had to check it out. In the spring of 2015, Grinder's Switch Winery took their wine to the heart of the big city and opened a location in downtown Nashville in the historic Marathon Village. This satellite location provides customers a chance to enjoy some of Tennessee's best wine more often. As I checked in, I received a coupon for a free Wine Slushy. The store was very inviting and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My mother and I ordered a tasting flight for ten dollars and I loved the Razzburry wine. My mother and I both ordered a bottle of wine and we both got five dollars off are bottle of wine for ordering the tasting flight. What a great deal!! The wine slushy was the bomb!!! It was delicious and very refreshing. I would have loved to order and have the wine shipped to my house, but they do not ship to Connecticut.

We had such a fun time here! We got 3 wine flights that we enjoyed while speaking to the employees working. It's an adorable little spot with some yummy wines and great staff. Stop in!

The staff here are absolutely delightful sharing a range of wines. If you are new to wine start here. The dry section isn't dry and was quite delicious and well rounded. The store itself was small and personable which allowed us to really enjoy our tasting.

I happened to stumble upon this hidden gem while waiting for the show at the Third Coast Comedy Club. It's an intimate winery with a delightful and fun staff. Kate and Brandon were awesome. They shared about their winery, wine selection, and other local ones to visit. I instantly gravitated to the Barrel Select a red blend, but they have a dynamic selection of sweet, dry, red and white wines. They also have wine slushies! The bottles range in price from $18.95-$24.95 and they ship. I would recommend stopping by for a drink or to take a bottle home.

This review is based on a private group tasting. We had a reservation for a group tasting an pairing at this satellite location of the winery. Everything was organized and ready for our group. There were eight wines, each was well paired with an item, primarily cheese, but also nuts or chocolate. While we did not like all of the wines, the overall experience was great, which was down to the staff. Caitlyn (not sure if the spelling is correct) was phenomenal, we really enjoyed her hosting us, as well as the couple other staff that popped in. Worth checking out, especially if you have a group and can make a reservation. The location is a bit off from downtown, but the historical building also has a other shops to check out and a distillery.

This place is great! The employees were amazing and so personal. My friends and I did the $15 8 glass wine tasting. Each time we got a new wine Ariel told us about it and even stood talking to us, we truly enjoyed her company. We walked about talking about how amazing that place was and how nice the employees are. The vibe of the place is exactly what you want going into a winery. We bought some mini bottles to go and I'll definitely be shipping full bottles to my house to share with my family. I've already gone and told people about this place

Such a fun experience here! I've lived in Nashville for a few years and I haven't really heard of this place until a friend looked up things to do/experiences for the weekend. We did a group wine pairing with snacks (rare to find wine tastings with snack pairings) in the back room (made reservations). The snacks included apple, cheese, nuts, and chocolate and we tasted 8 different wines: red, white, and sweet. Great variety! I particularly loved their blackberry wine as it was refreshing and semi sweet. I got too excited with the wine that I didn't take too many pictures of it. You can also do a wine tasting at their counter without making a reservation, but I'm not sure if that included the snacks or not.

definitely a nice place to a nice and cost efficient wine tasting in Nashville. Located near 2 quaint distillery's you can make a day or events. Cost of only 5 dollars can get you a nice wine tasting of about 4 different wines. You can choose from reds or white . Sweet or not. I selected the sweet which is my favorite and all were super nice. The staff here was nice and the patrons were also nice. Definitely cute for photo oops and take away purchasing of wines I would encourage. If you do go check in on yelp for a sweet treat

I have lived in Nashville for four years and never knew about this place until I looked up new wineries to try in the area. The tasting here was a super fun thing to try on a Saturday afternoon for a young couple or girl friends. The wines were unique, the pairings were a fun touch and diverse. We bought two bottles of Ivory Mist. We can't wait to go back!

Well I do not like wine but I have to say I actually enjoyed all the white sweet wines that they had offered in the tasting the only thing I would say is the charcuterie board was really really small for the price but other then that I enjoyed my experience here

Just enjoying the company & wine

The winery is next to live music, which added a really fun element. We've visited other wineries in the Nashville area and found the pricing here to be super reasonable. The barn is clean, pretty, and has special spots for pictures and retail. Music is going and the videos are being played on the tv above the tasting station. 2) locally & woman owned business! Nuff said. 3) greeted by an 8 week old puppy during our visit, which was very fun, more entertaining than the horses IMO. 4) The owner takes the time to learn about what she's giving you to taste and drink, which is nice! 5) Great picture taking opportunities! 6) we had to reschedule because of a family emergency of one of the party members, and the owner was incredibly easy to work with to make sure we could still attend without losing any money or the experience. Customer service was great. Could make a better experience: Price - $60 seemed fair for something unique but then you add on the fees/taxes and it's $74.25 per person, not sure where that additional ~$15 goes but I'd be much more inclined to return if there's a way to pay without the additional fees. (Also, website descriptions say $55 then the price is $60 - fix to match increase.) We definitely thought there would be more to do with the horses. Even if customers can't do something, maybe show off any tricks or special things the horses to make it more about the Equine than the Wine! Overall, if you love horses and are looking for something different to do in Nashville, this is it!
