$15 total. Prob would've cost at least $40 elsewhere. Half of this stuff is organic, and almost everything else is non-GMO certified.

A great place to shop for smart shoppers looking for a good deal. This is a discount store that carries mostly packaged foods and some health and beauty items, many of which seem to be at least half off the usual price. If you're looking for fresh produce and other refrigerated foods, look elsewhere. They have great prices on boxed, jarred, canned and bagged foods, including many organic foods and less processed foods without artificial preservatives, colors, etc. Check the expiration dates to find the freshest products. The woman at the register is very nice, too!

It was so nice to step back into this particular Grocery Outlet yesterday…read more The staff were all masked up and most of the customers were as well. We were able to manifest a ton of fantastic finds that were not currently stocked at the Sonora Grocery Outlet (which we both adore as well). Both my husband and I excitedly browsed the aisles and our cart was definitely full at the end. From organic meats, to now discontinued healthy finds, and fresh produce -we easily found it all. The staff were also helpful and kind and made our check-out process pleasant and smooth. If you're ever in the area - I highly recommend this Grocery Outlet Market. The owners keep it well stocked with magical healthy items and I always appreciate their more random non-food items as well. Trust.

I used to absolutely love shopping at Grocery Outlet in Oakdale. It was one of my favorite places…read moreto take my kids because there was always a fun selection of toys, gifts, seasonal items, and unique home décor. Walking in and seeing all the seasonal displays at the front of the store made shopping exciting, and I could almost always find something special for birthdays, holidays, or little surprises. Over the past year or so, it feels like the store has changed quite a bit. The kids' section is much smaller, there are fewer home and gift items, and it just doesn't seem to have the same treasure-hunt feeling it once had. I've noticed the selection isn't as unique as it used to be, and several of my mom friends have mentioned the same thing. One friend even stopped shopping there altogether because she felt they no longer carry the kinds of products that made Grocery Outlet so fun and different. Another thing many of us really miss is the monthly receipt drawing they used to do. You could write your name and phone number on your receipt, and at the end of the month they would draw a winner who received a gift card for the amount of their receipt. It was such a fun promotion that got the community excited and made shopping there feel a little more special. People genuinely looked forward to it. When the new owners took over, that promotion disappeared, and it feels like a lot of the little things that made this Grocery Outlet unique disappeared too. The staff has always been friendly, and I truly want to see the store succeed. I just miss the variety, the seasonal displays, the fun promotions, and the family-friendly shopping experience that made it such a special place to visit. It used to feel like every trip was an adventure... now it feels more like just another grocery store. I hope they consider bringing back more of the fun finds, gift items, home décor, toys, seasonal products, and community-focused promotions that so many of us loved.

For context, I often find myself driving between San Francisco and Fresno. On one articular trip,…read moreI was craving prime rib (which happens every two weeks or so). I asked my favorite llm where I should stop by for prime rib going from Fresno to SF. It at first suggested I make a bee like for house of prime rib in sf, which I like but have been to many times. It then suggested house of beef and I'm so glad it did (cattleman's in Livermore was also a 3rd choice but I've been there several times too). Thankfully it was Fri eve and they had prime rib. I like mine rare and it was perfectly cooked, very marbled, huge, well seasoned and delicious. I pared it wth au jus and mashed with gravy. Then, what reminded me to write this review, was the tri tip from the meat counter and took to go. They were nice enough to pack it in ice for my 2 hour drive. I just cooked it on my grill in the rain and this is seriously one of the best tri tips I've ever grilled up. The meat tenderness/marbling/quality is on par with any prime grade/American wagyu I've bought and the seasoning is just super on point. Looking forward to smoking the baby back ribs I picked up as well in the next couple of days but I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Seems like other reviews had issue with service but the staff were exceptionally attentive when I was there. Seriously the only thing that wasn't top notch about my experience was the cocktails(mine was totally fine but I'm a bit spoiled when I'm in SF) but for my purposes passing through I just wanted the prime rib and meats to go to be delicious and house of beef certainly lived up to its name!

Service is fast and attentive, staff is apologetic about the wait, but the waiting time was not too late or rushed. Our server 10/10 service, even gave us extra bread to take home. Salad and soup bar were excellent and everything tasted fresh. We loved the tomato soup, but didn't like the french onion dip soup. The bread was amazing, and even tasted great as reheated leftovers. The prime rib and ribeye steak were cooked perfectly to our order, but couldnt finish eating dud to being full from the unlimited bread, salad and soup bar. Garlic fries were amazing and crispy, even after reheated for leftovers. Only a few things I didn't like was when we went to get our soup and salad, they cleared the whole table. I was warming up the butter in my hands for the bread to spread on faster, but they took it away like trash when we went to grab our salad and soups. They resetted the paper towel rolls to the side of the table when we moved it to the center, and they almost took away my husband's alcoholic drink, and then realized we were still dining. The lighting was definitely way too dark. I could see elderly people slipping if there was were liquids or food filled on the floor. The space is interestingly very small for a steak restaurant, but they seem to make everything flow well. Definitely would come again, enjoy the soup and salad bar, and then maybe share a steak instead of ordering two.

Impression: First time visiting this place. I have always…read moreheard great things about it. I have been to quite a few places in Oakdale but always just rolled by this spot. The inside is old school food place with photos of nostalgia of the country. Flow: You can call in and pick up for fast service or drop in and wait to be seated. It could be a long wait or it could be fast depending on the line. The service is fast though. They don't dilly dally and waste your time. If you are going to dine in you need to go to the counter and put your name in. Food: Leo Camarillo- You can order with pastrami, roast beef or both. (Not half and half) Lots of cheese and sautéed mushrooms. If you're not a mushroom fan just skip. This is so delicious I have been thinking about it ever since we got it. My wife doesn't like mushrooms and she still ate with the shrooms on. We ordered pastrami only. No ragrats! French Dip- My kids ate both halves and didn't even hook it up with a bite! It was juicy and the dip was perfect. Always add the cheese. The Italian- Loved the Italian. It had a lot of meats on it and the veggies were fresh. Topped with an Italian dressing. Salads- Pesto salad was my favorite. Excellent flavor. No heartburn. Spaghetti salad was the sleeper. Very unsuspecting. I thought it was going to be cold spaghetti sauce but it was tomato's and Italian dressing/seasoning. Potato salad was ok. We added pepper and salt. We ordered 3 sandwiches for 4 people and came home with an untouched half because there was so much food. Bill was less than $60 for all the food and the soft drinks. Will definitely be a frequent haunt now.
