This is still my go to grocery store in Oakdale. They have a great selection. The store is clean and well stocked. Their produce section has some great quality to choose from. Their meat section will do everything any other meat counter will do, plus sharpen your knives or even cook your steak for you while you shop! Great sandwiches at the deli too! I stopped in a few weeks back to order my prime rib for Christmas. I was back and forth on if I wanted it seasoned by them or not. I chose not. After some more thought I realized what do I know about seasoning prime rib. I went back in hopes of updating my order if it wasn't too late. The clerk at the meat counter not only took care of that for me, but he did it right then and there and then sent me home with my prime rib ahead of schedule! Great service! Great store! The receipt says Store #1. I agree! I thought I was at a Whole Foods when I entered. Who knew there would be a bar/cantina cafe that serves tacos, mac & cheese, quesadillas with beer and wines to enjoy in store! I did not have time to try this but I will next time. On a whim I tried the self serve chicken noodle soup and it was really good! Bonus: You could add bacon and fresh green onions. Amazing value for only $4 for a cup. When I checked out I encountered a very friendly cashier who surprised me when she said I could get up to $300 cash back with debit card purchase. Most stores I've even to have a much smaller limit of only $50 to $100. This is a huge time and money saver vs hunting for a fee free ATM. I only wish the Lucky and Save Marts in the Bay Area were more like this store. read more

They offer all kinds of goodies when you walk in such as cut up fruit, vegetables ,salsas & guacamole . They also will make you a smoothie. The deli department is awesome!! We were headed back from the mountains late at night and figured it would be a good call to stock up on some basics. Most places were closed - but Save Mart - was surprisingly still open. They stay open till 12 in the morning - which is impressive. If you need to stock up on some late night grocery purchases - this Save Mart is fantastic. Can I just say that I found my new favorite grocery store in Oakdale! Upon entering the, newly renovated, store you walk right into the produce department and juice bar. I mean come on, this is, small town, Oakdale here! I'm impressed and have had three juices in the last two weeks. The spinach almond energy drink is my fav! This area also has a ton of pre-made juices (made that day), that you can grab and go and they also have flavored-with-real-fruit waters. This is our last stop and I consider a last decent chain store that I know of before the big hike. We wanted some fruits and some sandwiches for lunch. This place did not disappoint. Nice clean place. Really well lit. Helpful staff . Fresh produce. Easy access to freeway 120. Organized aisle. Clean bathroom. Well stocked deli. They even have my favorite Hawaiian Rolls and I was pleasantly surprised because not all grocery stores carry them at all. Wow! I'm super impressed by how clean the store is. Also they have a fresh juice bar. They also have a seafood and meat section in the back where you can get your food grilled right away. I have to admit Save Mart is probably my favorite store in Oakdale I love how clean they are and let me just point out a few highlights of things that you guys should try if you're ever in Oakdale and go shopping at the store first of all they have a fresh guacamole bar and I'll make it Anyway You Want It and then let you try it before you buy it to make sure it's exactly the way you want it I go there at least 3 times a week it's that good also in the meat department they have a grill area and the lady that works there makes her own scampi for the shrimp if you order shrimp and it is so good and everything I've ever ordered there has been done perfectly the way I ordered it next over to The Fresh Mexican food okay it's not exactly restaurant quality but for grocery store is really good the burritos are good the tacos are good they make them fresh right in front of you however you ask them whatever you want to put on them you have to give it a try definitely for the low price it's worth it and all of the staff from the bag boys up they're all Beyond friendly and helpful so I recommend the store for everybody in Oakdale the shop there and their prices are very reasonable read more

I live in Riverbank and I will drive all the way in town for this place. Everybody is so welcoming and nice. But that's not the only reason... I come here for the GUACAMOLE BAR. Yep. You read right. They personalize and cut all the produce fresh in front of you for the perfect guacamole. It is SO worth it. Especially with the fresh chips they make daily in their bakery. They also have an amazing juice bar where I order the Kale Pineapple banana smoothie before I start my shopping adventure. I had a big party... first time for me. I was very nervous about everything turning out nice. We ordered 17 super sub sandwiches cut in 6, 13 trays of aram sandwiches, 3 trays of cookies and 3 trays of crackers and cheese. Everything was done ahead of time, beautifully packaged and ready to go!! I was so happy that we didn't have to make all that food and that it tasted great!!! This store discriminated against me because of the way that I look! I would give this place zero stars if I could. The way I was treated was unbelievable. My wife wasn't feeling well so she sent me in for her to grab a steak for dinner. I walked up to the meat, looked around, and realized I wasn't sure which cut or type of steak she wanted. So I figured I would just walk back out to the car, which was about 100 feet outside the front door in plain sight and my wife sitting in it with the window down. I walked up to her and asked which steak I should get and she told me, so I went back into the store, walked straight back to where I had just been standing looking at the meats, I grabbed a steak and walked to the check out counter. As I'm setting my stuff down, a fellow customer accused me of stealing something when I first walked into the store. He said that I walked out without paying for anything when I went to ask my wife what to get and that he KNEW that I stole something. I was so offended, that I just told him to have the store check their cameras. But he kept on and on about how his father owned a grocery store and he knows how much theft hurts everyone, still accusing me of stealing AS IM PAYING FOR MY ITEM. I payed and turned to leave as this man keeps at it, asking the cashier if they're just going to "let me leave." The cashier looked at him and rudely said "well there's nothing we can do about it." I was flabbergasted. These people were all profiling me because of how I look!! My wife and I deal with this often because we are skinny, have missing teeth and tattoos. People have the audicity to treat us like we are drug addicts and they just get away with it. So here I am writing a review because I feel that this is the only way I can voice my concerns. I go to Savemart at least once a week, if not more. Crew are always visible. When they are out of something and I ask when the item will be in, I get an answer. I was at the bakery the other day and inquired about an item and it's ingredients (allergic to nuts) and got an answer right away. I really enjoy being around them all.
