One thing I love about the organization I work for is it's a corporate standard to give back to the community on a monthly (not yearly,) basis. This month Habitat for Humanity store- Bellevue was selected, and what a fantastic day I had getting to know the team and volunteering. I was initially saddened to learn we wouldn't be helping build a project, but once the store team provided insight on how the donations, volunteers, and purchases from customers help make those projects happen I grew overly excited. I was pleasantly stunned at how much inventory was on hand, but especially the great quality. Many of the items for sale were brand new, and priced unbelievably low regardless of the branded name. Whatever your reason maybe for considering to shop at this location just know the Bellevue team really care and take great pride in ensuring all items are checked, cleaned, and sanitized before placing on the floor for sale. I have plans to not only donate, but volunteer and shop here again; I highly recommend!

Depending on what you're looking for, Habitat for Humanity Store in Bellevue may have it. This is an affordable, used furniture store in the Bel-Red area. They accept donations, which they get a lot of all the time, so it is worth checking out more than once if you're on the hunt. We specifically visited Habitat for Humanity Store because we needed a large bookcase that will hold up to a thousand books. They do have larger furniture items, like couches, tables, dining sets. And though we didn't find the bookcase we were looking for, they did have bookcases and other pieces. They also have more random items that you wouldn't expect from a used furniture store, like rakes, brooms, paint cans, tools, etc. Much of the stuff is older and outdated. But if you're handy and crafty, I can see someone getting an item here and redesigning it to the times. There's a lot of potential here. What I mostly like about this store is that the proceeds goes back to Habitat for Humanity. The staff are also very friendly and they allow dogs here. Parking is not an issue in the shared lot. You can also schedule donations to be picked up. Though I haven't had luck finding items here, this is a great organization to support.

Overall a great place to shop and donate to. Things sell quickly so new items all the time, with reasonable prices.

Update after living with our selections for several months…read more.. I wanted to come back and update my review now that we've been using everything for a while. I'm even happier with our choices today than when we first installed them. Kiersten at Chown Hardware in Bellevue was incredibly patient throughout the selection process. She knows the products, listened to what we wanted, and never pushed us toward the most expensive option. Instead, she recommended thoughtful upgrades only when they truly made sense for our project, and every one of those recommendations has proven to be worth it. You also can't know everything about every single item available. If there was something she needed to do deeper divan, she would let us know and do that we could really trust her. The showroom has an excellent selection, but it's the knowledgeable, honest guidance that really sets Chown apart. Months later, everything is working beautifully, looks fantastic, and we're so glad we trusted Kiersten's expertise. Great products. Great service. Great long-term results. Kiersten is a superstar!

UBERUPDATE JUNE 13, 2026: This is an additional shout out to their check-out employee, Nam, for her over the top assistance at the checkout counter today, including going out to fetch a cart. And also to Brooks (second day in a row) for assisting me in helping me to determine if my slightly used dumpster find 2017 Ryobi reciprocating saw works (it works), and also helping me to determine whether to buy their Ryobi battery/charger starter kit special for $99 and get a new Ryobi power tool at no additional charge, or get the six in one package of Ryobi power tools for 199 bucks, which also includes two batteries and a charger. (I chose the latter) Give both Nam and Brooks a raise!

While there were no familiar faces, I was both amused and irritated by the blatant customer-avoidant behavior the store associates displayed that day. I watched one gentleman turn into the aisle my friend and I were in, look up and see us, did an immediate about-face with military precision and quickly retreated as fast as he could. Another walked by us, made brief eye contact, and then pulled out a piece of paper from his apron pocket staring at it as though it was the most interesting paper in the world. We checked out in the garden department with our bags of soil and little pots. The soil we bought had one of those easy to open tops that you just have to pull on. The cashier lifted the soil bag right at that spot tearing it open. My friend saw it but I didn't until we were loading the bag into the car. I shouldn't be surprised but I am disappointed.

Most recently I dropped by just before they closed to pick up drywall paste and a pallette knife. Despite me walking in ten minutes before they were supposed to shut, they didn't make me feel rushed at all and helped me find what I was looking for. I'm in here all the time for the essentials: gloves, those foam paint thing for stain, foam pads (also for stain.. can you tell I like to stain things?), tarps. All kinds of consumables you don't want to overpay for. They're consistently stocked, easy to grab, and priced right. Where this location really shines, though, is staff and tools. The staff are great, always helpful. Harbor Freight has come a long way, and the value is hard to beat. Especially for air tools! Solid performance at prices that make it easy to expand your setup without overthinking it. I recently picked up an orange rolling tool chest on sale and honestly couldn't be happier with it. Sturdy, smooth drawers, and an incredible deal for what you get. Also worth calling out: the Apache hard cases. These things are fantastic.
