We stopped by while we were already in the area since I'd been curious to check it out. It was my first visit, and while I didn't end up taking anything home, I'm still glad I finally got to see what it was all about! This is definitely more of a furniture and home improvement focused store than the type of thrift store I usually gravitate toward. There were lots of larger furniture pieces, unique home decor, artwork, tools, paint, and more. I could see this being a really fun place if you're remodeling a room, furnishing a new space, or tackling a DIY project since you could easily pick up both the supplies and some one of a kind pieces in one stop. One thing that stood out was the artwork. There were some really fun and unique pieces hanging throughout the store that made browsing enjoyable. The biggest downside for me was the pricing. Some items felt reasonably priced, but quite a few of the larger furniture pieces seemed expensive enough that I found myself thinking you could buy something new for a similar price. Of course, that's going to depend on what you're looking for and whether you fall in love with a particular piece. The staff was incredibly friendly, though, and that definitely made a positive impression. There were signs throughout the store encouraging shoppers to ask for help reaching artwork or items on higher shelves, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to assist. Overall, it wasn't quite my style of thrift shopping, so I probably wouldn't make a special trip back. One thing I love about the organization I work for is it's a corporate standard to give back to the community on a monthly (not yearly,) basis. This month Habitat for Humanity store- Bellevue was selected, and what a fantastic day I had getting to know the team and volunteering. I was initially saddened to learn we wouldn't be helping build a project, but once the store team provided insight on how the donations, volunteers, and purchases from customers help make those projects happen I grew overly excited. I was pleasantly stunned at how much inventory was on hand, but especially the great quality. Many of the items for sale were brand new, and priced unbelievably low regardless of the branded name. Whatever your reason maybe for considering to shop at this location just know the Bellevue team really care and take great pride in ensuring all items are checked, cleaned, and sanitized before placing on the floor for sale. Depending on what you're looking for, Habitat for Humanity Store in Bellevue may have it. This is an affordable, used furniture store in the Bel-Red area. They accept donations, which they get a lot of all the time, so it is worth checking out more than once if you're on the hunt. We specifically visited Habitat for Humanity Store because we needed a large bookcase that will hold up to a thousand books. They do have larger furniture items, like couches, tables, dining sets. And though we didn't find the bookcase we were looking for, they did have bookcases and other pieces. They also have more random items that you wouldn't expect from a used furniture store, like rakes, brooms, paint cans, tools, etc. Much of the stuff is older and outdated. But if you're handy and crafty, I can see someone getting an item here and redesigning it to the times. There's a lot of potential here. What I mostly like about this store is that the proceeds goes back to Habitat for Humanity. The staff are also very friendly and they allow dogs here. Parking is not an issue in the shared lot. You can also schedule donations to be picked up. Though I haven't had luck finding items here, this is a great organization to support. read more

My husband and I decided we needed an adjustable bed, so called Habitat for Humanity to see if they wanted our old but still good four poster. They did, so we scheduled a time, took the bed apart, and followed their rule to set it up in an open but covered area where they could move it easily into their truck. They were there as promised, friendly and efficient. Within 5 minutes they had it loaded and were off. We were relieved to have it gone without the bother of trying to sell it ourselves. More importantly, it had gone to support an excellent organization which gives much to the community. read more

I do not recommend this place as a thrift store; the pricing is comical. All the junk in there is super cheap, but anything even REMOTELY trendy, even ADJACENT to being trendy, is basically full price. This is an amazing store in Bellevue. If you're looking to furnish an apartment or home with high end furniture at reasonable prices than look no further. Since this is Bellevue the donations are great quality and huge selection. The selection is overwhelming with sofas, chairs, tables, lamps and the list goes on and on. The person who helped us out, Dustin, was awesome. He was juggling several things at once but still helped us in marking our items as "SOLD". They deliver (small fee) locally and hold purchased items up to 7 days. If you live in Seattle and need any furniture be sure to check this place out. And the proceeds go to a good cause. If you need furniture, this is the store to go to! Loads of furniture at bargain prices , I was in heaven. Unfortunately the day I went, they didn't have any dressers in stock. They did have lots of sofas which all looked pretty nice. I also had some questions about a air conditioning unit they were selling, and the staff was pretty helpful and informative. They don't transport the furniture themselves but they do have a company they recommend. Will definitely be coming back once a week to see wrath kind of goodies they have in stock! read more

The staff at this store is terrific. The merchandise is great if you are a stager. Stagers shop often - and must get a phone call that good stuff has come in. You know the stuff with clean lines we all want. That's what's annoying about this place. Can't tell you how many times I've walked past stuff marked sold.... And I go often. If you need to donate furniture I'd recommend starting with another organization. We made an appointment to have them pick up two pieces of furniture (furniture I could have sold btw). We uploaded photos and they agreed to pick it up. We are moving so it was a bit of inconvenience to wait more than a week for them to come make the pick up but given Habitat's reputation we waited on them. They arrived on Saturday when we weren't home, refused to wait for us (we are less than 10 mins away), looked at the furniture and refused to take it claiming "its not our style". That is outrageous. No check list, no mention of damage or wear/tear, they just said its not our style and left before we even had a chance to discuss it with them. Now we are stuck having to rent a truck and take the furniture ourselves to Goodwill. Never doing business with them again and I recommend you not either. Consider Goodwill first! read more

I usually buy and donate to the Bellevue store, and all the experiences have been wonderful. I've found large and small items for staging some of the homes I list for sale. I found a GREAT hallway desk with four drawers that was thin enough in width, that it has fit perfectly in my entry area. All employees were helpful, too. Had a pickup at an empty condo in downtown Kirkland last Fall. As long as I had the items near the entry door, they took everything that needed to go. Big furniture to glassware. I am making a pickup again for next week at another empty house. Hope it goes as well as earlier meetings. read more

We recently donated five rooms of furniture to this wonderful organization. The two men who arrived at our house the day before Thanksgiving were exceptionally helpful, nice and professional. I had received a call the night before confirming a time estimate of when they'd arrive. And the day of pickup, the driver called when he was about 20 minutes away to alert us they would be arriving soon. We had a very positive experience from the moment they arrived until they left. It feels good to donate to an organization that helps provide housing to thousands of people around the globe. Honestly, the two movers are wonderful ambassadors for H4H - they were friendly, had great senses of humor and worked fast & efficiently to load up that entire truck in about an hour. read more

The woman working at the counter on Saturday, March 4, was very unprofessional. She looked directly at me, but didn't say one word as I looked at rugs for at least five minutes and ten feet from her. I also asked her a basic question in which she gave me a snotty reply. She was busy checking AccuWeather on her smart phone and telling coworkers about how she needed to get rid of the app because she was obsessed with it. Obviously! The sad part is that I was going to buy the $100 rug and a $120 easel, but because of her crappy attitude I bought nothing! read more

I believe in Habitat For Humanity. I have been a fan for years. This particular location off Be-Red road is one of the better outlets that I have visited. The donating community is very generous to this location. The quality of furnishings has been great to outstanding. Just be Xtra careful that you look under and beneath the surface of the furniture and make sure you clean your piece before you drag it into your home, funny how the bugs begin to make themselves comfy in your home after they arrive. All in all this location has excellent staff...Leslie, Catherine and Christine have been very helpful and all pitch in to help load heavy pieces into your vehicle. Avoid this place like the plague. Not only was their clerk flat-out rude, but the manager was even worse. They sold an item we'd driven 1 1/2 hrs to pick up, after following all their directions on how to place said item on 'hold' (the item was listed on facebook marketplace). Dishonesty aside, the ATTITUDE we encountered was even more appalling than the wasted time and fuel. I'm all for their cause, however, their business model is highly questionable. I can no longer support the retail end of this organization after having encountered another problem with one of their retail outlets in CA. I will happily take my business elsewhere. A base level of respect, courtesy, and common decency is not an unreasonable expectation for potential customers. read more

If you are shopping for furniture on a budget, I highly recommend that you visit this store. It is packed with furniture in good to excellent condition. The prices are very good and the money you spend supports a good cause. I'm in the process of furnishing my apartment starting from essentially nothing. I'm trying to keep expenses down but I still want my new home to look nice. A major expense facing me was living room furniture and today I found a lovely and comfortable classic style sofa and matching love seat in very gently used, clean condition for $89 and $69 respectively. Even with the delivery costs (Dolly.com) it was a very good deal. They look perfect in my apartment. I didn't find the perfect coffee table, end tables, dining room, bedroom dresser today so I'll be going back regularly to check on new arrivals. During my shopping time there today, I observed a good turnover of stock. The people working there were very helpful. As soon as I came in, a worker approached me to let me know which tag colors were on sale. They told me about Dolly.com when I asked about delivery. And when I was at home arranging same day delivery online with Dolly and needed dimensions, I called the store and they measured the pieces for me. I haven't visited the store but have a long history as a business volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. They get people that could NEVER buy a home into a new home of their own through sweat equity. These homes are typically energy efficient. Large companies donate lumber, windows, appliances, etc. It is a stellar program. I wanted to respond to complaints about employees. The employees are people who either donate their time or are building up the number of hours they need to qualify for a home. If the employee makes a mistake or is not highly trained this is why. It is not a reflection on the store in any way. "Employees" often work as little as 10 hours total as part of the program. A store cannot possibly train people for this. As a clarifier the habitat recipient will typically have to pound nails, clean up housing job site etc. However a handicapped recipient may use all of the hours to staff the store. I once worked with a person who sat in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank as a store clerk. He was so happy and excited about a home of his own it touched me. Often the people you interact with as 'employees' are really the person who is being helped by Habitat. read more

WOW! great find in bellevue! was amazed by the quality and the great pricing. i've been shopping their for a few months now and i can't believe what they get in. if you don't buy it when you see it, you'll lose out b/c it moves fast! i snoozed on a beautiful king four post bed and it was gone by next morning. recent purchases: two very nice oak bookcases (45 bucks each), Frederick Cooper table lamp (22), Dania styled dining table/chair set (225.00). not to mention the NUMEROUS small home decoration pieces i've picked up, mostly under 10 bucks. i'm keeping my eyes out for a washer/dryer set next as mine is old and crancky. the place seems always busy with items going onto the floor (and off) constantly. staff and volunteers are very friendly and helpful...they'll keep my growing pile at the desk when my hands get to full ;). definitely recommend shopping here...don't think you'll regret it. read more

We called to give them our purchase information at 11:45AM and were told that someone from the day before had purchased the piece!! WTF?? This is a marginal place of business without ethics. Very disappointed with my donation experience. Like other reviews, the driver was unpleasant. It was frustrating as his attitude as terrible. He was arguing with his 'helper', a friendly woman who was very calm throughout his tirade. Then, he was condescending towards me, which I asked him to stop doing so he then told me that I was snarky. Ultimately, I decided not to donate that day as there was only his way to get the items out of storage and onto the truck and I really did not sign up to be insulted while donating. The habitat truck just left the house with several large items in tow. The drivers were professional, on time, and appreciative! Unfortunately some of the essential hardware to hook up the new cook top was attached to the back of the donated cook top. We called right away when we realized what had happened. The trucks were still out on their routes. The teams at both the Bellevue and Tukwila stores got right on it as they came in, checked the trucks and were able to secure the parts we needed. I LOVE this organization. They are exceptional to both the people they serve, and to those who make the donations. They are always patient, respectful, kind, and so happy to connect the people with things to give and with things that are needed. I was donating a couch and was told I had to bring it outside as they would not come in to pick it up. I left work early to meet them and had a friend come by to help me move the couch, which was a difficult process. When they arrived, I was informed they could not take the couch b/c there were some animal scratches along the bottom of the couch. Other than that the couch was in great condition. When I called to complain and spoke to the manager, I was informed there was a "checklist" the employee booking the pickup should have gone through. Wow, that would have been nice to know prior to this HUGE INCONVIENCE! There was no such checklist when I called, they just booked the appt. The manager refused to send the truck back to pick the couch up and would do nothing about the huge inconvenience and hassle he has caused me. Their lack of competence is now my problem! read more

Set up a time to have them pick up some furniture. There was a supposed to be a bedroom suite plus a table and chairs and a couple of other cabinets. The bedroom suite was sold so they just needed to pick up the table and chairs and a couple of cabinets. I had to come home from work to help them load since they won't go into the house and I don't have a carport. When they finally showed up I told them that I didn't have the bedroom suite but I had the table and chairs and some other furniture. They said they couldn't take anything more than what was on their list because of time constraints, room in the truck etc. I understand that but they didn't have the bedroom furniture so they had time and space but ok whatever. They then looked at the chairs which had a sun burn on them and said they couldn't take those because they weren't resalable. These are ikea chairs where someone could just buy new covers. After refusing that they said they would look at the other things that earlier they said they couldn't take. I told them to just leave. What a hassle. I would understand if the stuff was crap but this was in good shape and someone would totally have bought it. I guess business is so good they don't need the donations. Total waste of time. I won't be bothered to use them again. Don't waste your time. read more
