The Service: So far all the staffs I had encountered were nice & friendly. The Store: The smallest Target I have ever been to. So don't expect they have full stock or inventory compared to other locations. However, definitely more items compared to RIte Aid nearby. There are self checkout kiosk so very convenient. This teeny-tiny Target is good for basics. If you're looking for something specific, I'd always check online to see if they even carry it, much less have it in stock - they just don't have the space to stock full lines of their products. The grocery section has a pretty good selection, even their produce. It's an odd location - an erstwhile piano store - and the parking lot is small. Maybe 20 spaces tops? I would never try to park here. Luckily, I'm within walking distance. They have plenty of self-checkouts, thankfully. I only use self-checkout, so if I need something from Target, I try to come here, as most of the other stores in the area have closed their SCOs. read more

If Target was a Boutique it be this scaled down one of a kind find in the city of the Burbank! Never have I ever seen a Target location so quaint, including my Target retail days over a decade and half ago at one of the smaller locations. The Target of North Hollywood Way is one of quick grab and convenience. It definitely feels like the kind of place that was designed more for travelers, tourists and passersthrough the most, being near many nice hotels, inns/motels, and the Burbank Airport. I wanted to check out some of the board game selection or lack thereof for a get together as well as snacks and adult beverage essentials and thought I was in the standing set of a Target rather than an actual location... I mean this is Burbank after all... but no it's super legit and super easy to walk the entire store in under 5 minutes. They don't care everything, but they do carry quite a bit and have the kindest, coolest, funniest crew of team members I've had the pleasure of interacting with. The parking lot has so few spots that I recommend street parking if possible, but if you're lucky enough to grab a spot, like I've been able to then definitely park it and be grateful as it's less than 30 spots I believe.. if that. I'm surprised to see that this target has three stars. Some of the reviews it seems think that it is too small for what they expected. Sadly, this isn't Mary Poppins magic bag, and they aren't going to have more items than the physical size of the store. But it's a good option if you want to make a quick trip and avoid the bigger targets that are way more busy. Overall selection isn't too bad for the essentials. It's basically all the target departments cut into half or a third. You can also do returns here from any target, which is pretty convenient if you live in the neighborhood. It has been a while to visit this location. Oh my gosh! The associate at the cashier register is an amazing individual. She went out of her way to look for the item I was looking for it. Literally, step out from her duties and walked with me to the areas to find item I was looking for it. Unfortunately, is not available at Target anymore. The most awesome moment was when the associate did not stop there she even search on online of where I can purchase this item. I did not get the name of the associate, but definitely want the associate to be recognized for her customer service and going above and beyond. Hope the receipt can help. Lots of expired items - fajita chicken and celery on this trip (a full month past expiration), yogurt on a previous visit. As an expatriate, I always make at least 1 Target run while I'm down. I picked the worst Target in town. This one's tiny, and really only exists for you to pick up basics. The location underatandably does not have a lot as it is a small store but it is very convenient due to it's proximity and it has all the necessities. If there is one BIG negative, we have purchased a handful of gift cards there and at least 3 have been zeroed out before we had a chance to use them. Someone there, likely an employee, is probably stealing the numbers. When we brought it up, they said the cards are from outside vendors so there is nothing they can do about it. As a Target it's whatever, smeller version of your full size one. The parking lot is always packed but the store is usually pretty empty. Which means you will move fast. My biggest complaint is the staff. Idk what it is but they always have the biggest attitude and like heavy energy. Anytime you have to ask them anything it's weird. Idk why it always bugs me they never want to personally ring me up, since there's always so many of them just standing around. read more

This Target Express carries all the essentials. This location has a pharmacy, ATM , groceries and self checkout. This is a great Target if you just need a few items and want to get in and out. The employees sanitize all the shopping carts and checkout stations after each use. The checkout line moves swiftly and rarely has a line longer than three deep. There is a Security Officer at the entrance during business hours, just like the larger Targets. When you exit the parking lot , It's RIGHT turn only. Burbank P.D hangs out down the street picking off people making the left. You have been warned. read more

On average, I agree with many other reviews: this is a get in & get out location. The selection is as expected in a store this size. My issue here is the stocking of shelves: I've visited this store 1st thing it opens, around lunch, mid-day, and evening, and EVERY time, there are large carts in the narrow aisles to stock shelves. Am I to believe that people are buying so much stuff here that they have to stock all the time? Or is it that they just don't do it when the store is closed? My Grandfather had a butcher shop and grocery store (think a larger Handy Market) that he ran until retirement and he always enforced stocking while the store is closed. It's not a good look and it gets in the way of the shoppers. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to go down an aisle only to have some cart larger than me in the way so much so that I ended up getting what I needed elsewhere. This place can be a time-saver, but it's not absolute, and sometimes it's a waste of time. read more

Convenient - that's why they are getting three stars. Employees *up to 9:00 PM They can be rude and abrasive making you feel like you have inconvenienced them by asking any questions. That's 50% of the time. Employees *after 9:00 PM -ish. If you need to grab something fast before closing, like cold medicine, you're there with a purpose to get in, get out, and go home; however, it doesn't matter to the staff at this "baby target." -you'll be hounded, followed and treated like you've done something wrong. 2 nights ago I was greeted by the guy next to the door staring at his phone, didn't bother to look up, "We are closing at 10PM." Walked down an aisle looking for cold meds and I was told by a different employee, "We're closing at 10PM." I was reminded no less then 3 times by individual employees in addition to the PA system - they close at 10PM! Target managers, we get it, you want to get out on time without your employees going in to OT, but can you please take a deep breath and remind the staff to at least be courteous! I created the Yelp account for this new Target Express in the city of Burbank. I got the First To Tip badge for announcing its grand opening. I didn't get the First To Review badge because I only review a place when I actually paid a visit. Writing fake reviews just to get the FTR badge isn't my style, just saying. I don't normally review grocery stores or shopping centers but decided to write one for this store. I like this store better than the giant Target in Empire, about a mile from this one. Why? I'm more of a grab-and-go type of a customer. I come in a store to grab what I need (not want) and go. If you're the same type of a shopper, then this Target fits you. They call this an Express store because it carries only commodities for your basic needs. It's not a store for someone who spends an entire day going from aisle to aisle getting all their wants and then come back the next day for returns. And the cycle goes on and on. This is a matter of personal preference. I like this store. I like the layout. I like the friendly employees. I'm holding off one star because as a newly opened store, there's still some room for improvements. read more

Grand opening is today 4/3/18 It's beautiful store. It is nowhere near the of a regular size Target but it still has absolutely everything one would be looking for . The manager Jon was extremely warm & friendly; actually his entire team made me feel right at home. There were lots of free samples to take home, as well as free games, and food. They served tacos, beans , rice & dessert was provided by Portos; what else could one ask for in desserts? Although the parking lot is small there is ample parking down the street. The largest television they sell is a 32' but that's what Target.com is for. Long story short, this was my first time here but certainly won't be my last. I'd be lying if I said I knew the purpose of a city Target, not that I even really care but I've seen them near college campuses and I've known of this location for some time now. Today I'd finished a looong, warm, hilly trail run and ya girl was hurt'n. I needed epsom salt, Advil and Cheez Its ASAP! I was headed this way and decided I'd pop in real quick. This, exact reason is what I think a city Targets goal is. You need some items, want to grab them quickly and be on your way. The parking lot is small. I worried I may not snag a spot but what I noticed is the spots are turning over quickly AND there's street parking. There were a ton of employees on site. Everywhere you look it felt like a 4:1 personal shopper ratio. I immediately asked where to find the stuff I needed and had it all in hand within a minute or so. They don't carry the Listerine I use so that's my only gripe. Self check out took about 45 seconds and I was on my way. I'd totally recommend this location although I didn't grasp this is the type of Target you go and linger in for hours on end. Get your shi* and get the F out is more the vibe here and that I appreciate! Pretty sure I also noticed a pharmacy, so there's that if you need it. Great option when in the area, prevents you from having to go to the North Hollywood location (probably in all honesty, not even a real option in my book) or the Empire center (an entire ordeal in itself) or even further out Van Nuys on Sepulveda which for me means completely by passing home by several miles. Very helpful, friendly staff. I'd count this location as a serious GO. Great addition to this area although I've passed it by all this time. A compact version of the typical Target store which sells almost everything this thriving community could need. What a welcome addition to the Magnolia Park neighborhood in Burbank! Due to its proximity of the Magnolia Blvd. and N. Hollywood Way intersection, it gives the immediate area an option to NOT drive to the further, yet bigger Target at the Burbank Empire Center, especially if you are on the go & in need of a quick Target run. It is a small version of the usual Target establishments that we are all used to, but has all (if not, most) of the sections you have at the larger stores. They also have a CVS pharmacy on-site, if you need any prescriptions picked up & clean restrooms, as well! They do have a parking lot, but it is small - about 38 parking spaces, just to give you a heads up. I believe that this store was built for the immediate area, so it's encouraged to hop on a bike/scooter, or even walk to get your Target run done! Figuratively speaking, an average Target, like the one at the Empire Center on Victory Place in Burbank or the North Hollywood store on Vineland Avenue, can be around 114,000 square feet - and this particular one is way smaller than the other two, which, aside from a tall column with the Target logo on it, this location is roughly 27,000-square-feet. which is not super-imposing and is no bigger than the surrounding businesses around it. The small-format store sells household goods, small appliances, clothing, personal care, and beauty supplies. Additionally, because this Magnolia Park location in Burbank is much smaller than its counterparts and more linear in nature, walking through the Target small-format store can take minutes. On the other hand, unlike regular Targets, these smaller stores feature a smaller variety of the same items. I've noticed that there are between four and five different scents for Tide laundry detergent at a typical Target (who doesn't love getting their laundry essentials when they go on sale at Target? LOL). However, this store only carries at most two scents. I didn't need it at a recent trip, but I was on the hunt for disinfecting wipes that happen to be on the same aisle as laundry detergent. Too bad they didn't have what I was looking for. It's really a get-in-and-get-out experience, as people will be here for an hour or an hour and a half, which is the typical Target shopping experience. This is about the community being able to come in, shop quickly and get what they need, so that they can get back to their other errands, or even head back home. Highly recommend to check this Target out, especially if you're wanting to kill time from waiting for a vacant table/seat at the nearby Porto's! :) read more

This is my go-to Target! A convenient location, though if you head here on weekday evenings when everyone's dropping in between work and home, it can sometimes be difficult to park. For such a small location, they have a good variety of items stocked, especially in the grocery section. The CVS pharmacy is also convenient. Some people complain about the employees, which is strange to me; personally I don't come to Target expecting a huge amount of interaction with the employees, so my chief experience with them is them kindly welcoming and thanking you at the self check-out, which I qualify as a positive. read more

This is a smaller-format Target on Hollywood Way in Magnolia Park. I go here every week, and I really like it. This is in part because I manage my expectations: It's not a supermarket, and it's not a full-sized Target. It has Target prices and pick-up/drive-up. I get household items here like laundry detergent, trash bags, aluminum foil, Advil for better prices than Ralphs with much more convenience. There are also other sections for groceries, beauty products, and clothes, but again, not anywhere as large as a full-size Target. I've always had good experiences with the employees, several of whom recognize me now. They have been very friendly and helpful to me in finding things and making recommendations, and they're easy to find. That never happens at Empire Center's full-size Target, which is a good Target, but Empire Center is often a nightmare. Two things I recommend for the best experience: 1) There's angled parking. There is more parking "down there". Keep rolling down the lane instead of waiting there like a Dumas. 2) If you're looking for something that might be limited in stock (such as my shoes in a particular size), use the Target app first and see if it's in stock there. read more

Okay people! Read the comments on this target! The employees here have nothing to do but give customers a hard time and literally not be useful for anything but stand around, that's right just stand around while you self check out! But that's far from my issue here. I've never been to a target where they don't honor a price clearly market on the Item and the employees give me a hard time, as if they are giving me this item for free. So I went to the clearance area and found a lot of note books that were marked at $1.50 When I got to the register, I had to call the employee to correct the price. The older lady, with the yellow bleach mullet. Decided to question my integrity for a $1.50 because obviously she was bored on a Monday night. So we head over to we're I found the items. She decided to call the manager for a 2nd opinion because clearly she doesn't have the capacity to think beyond this point. The manager DAVID comes up to me and tells me he can't honor this price because it rings at $3.65. (at this point ) I'm baffled because my total is $116.65 of a sales for his location and he decided to say that it was "most likely misplace" I took him to show him if all those note books where "misplace" because at this point he's insinuating something. And he apologized and said "I will give you one at this price" which I replied and told him "he's not giving me anything" I'm buying this with my money. All he needs to do is honor that price. Which at the end he didn't. I was in disbelief. I would have left all my items at this point but I couldn't because my daughters needed their snacks for school but this is the reason self check out is a thing and robots are taking over. Probably the worst target I've ever been to. Besides it being a small target w/ a bunch of essentials not stocked. The workers are very rude every time I've chosen to grab something real quick. Tonight for example I walk in at 950pm (they close at 10pm) which I'm mindful of. I'm not here to shop for an hour. I know what I want & I'll grab it & go. Yet I'm being followed as I write this out being constantly reminded they close at 10pm between the worker behind me & the PA system. Again I didn't come in here to hold people late just a last minute shopper buying some trash bags... if shoppers are in here before the posted closing time I shouldn't feel like a intruder in a public store by the workers. Although this may not look like your typical target it has everything you need! I originally thought it would be a market only target but it had all the departments within this location. I was shocked to see how big it was in the inside, parking was easy considering there are no shared parking lot it is strictly for target only. Another great thing was they had DEALS ! Oh massive deals I got my daughter two dolls today ... one was an L.o.l doll (full-size) and the other was a rainbow high doll and I can not believe I paid less than $14 for ea. I forgot $20 cash back in a self checkout, returned half an hour later, and a customer service manager told me another customer had returned it to the store:)) So I received it back, and I will be coming back to this nice, compact, convenient store in which everyone greets you and you can fast and easily locate and buy whatever you need without the hassle of wandering through huge aisles and parking of regular Targets or area supermarkets!!!The food section immediately right of entrance is quite extensive though and is supplied by good, fresh, well-priced food items as well. read more
