I've been a loyal customer at this store for twenty years. It changed ownership a few years ago. Last week I had an acrimonious confrontation when I was trying to check out. There was only one checker open and I had two customers ahead of me, The first had a lot of groceries, and there was a female employee next who as on break. I asked the checker if she would call a second checker, but the on break lady vetoed the call. Soon after more people added to the line and the checker called for another checker at check stand two. The on break lady made no movement to change lines so I unloaded my groceries at check stand two. Well no one ever came to check stand two and I lost my place in line at the first check stand. After several minutes a male manager finally exited the office and opened check stand three and summoned a random customer from the long line. He started upbraiding me about stressing the staff publicly before a captive audience, and denied that I waited long as I was still waiting with no service. Finally I carefully returned all my groceries etc. and left that "snake pit " store and drove over to the newer Grocery Outlet Bargain Market at the Cross Roads plaza where I was received by two checkers with no wait time and courtesy and smiles. It's only that one manager and that recently hired female employee that I've had trouble with. She took umbrage with me because I called her back to her check stand the week begore. So I was getting snooty vibes from her even prior to the July 18 confrontation. The other employees at that store are fine, a few of them worked at that sore under the previous owner. This is my favorite Grocery Outlet but the reason I gave you 2 stars because your bathrooms are closed. Don't want to hear it's due to COVID. Walmart Store bathrooms are open and so is Home Depot and Lowe's. I recently shop there like I do and I am disabled with my service dog and it's clear I am disabled. I think not having the bathroom is bad business and when that happen I left my full cart and left. I will not spend money in a store that doesn't let me use the bathroom I went to Walmart. Might want to reconsider that when you do I will come back. I have medical issues and it's not a option for me. read more

Have been to this store a couple of times. They always have good service but never made it past the fruit section. It was the closest store (so I thought) to my house. They have great deals on many different items. I always have the song commercials stuck in my head. I came in today specifically to look for an inexpensive wine. I have been searching the stores that carry local inexpensive wine for my guests. They actually have a wine specialist that works here. I know right? I am serious. We picked out three of them that were more of a strong red wine. I am hoping to find one that everyone loves and doesn't know I paid less than $25 per bottle. Ssshhh, it is our secret! The customer service here is really good and the store is very clean. I will absolutely be coming back here again. Check out the pics to see the wine selections. I love this place!!! So cheap, so fresh! Not to brag but I saved $60 and my total was $90 and would usually be about $200 so it was a nice suprise to get everything I need for the month and have a bit extra!!! New girl Christina messed up on pricing my avocados but we both were polite and we figured it out! She was so good! She had great costumer service!! So very cool! MORE RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS PLEASE. Been shopping at the grocery outlet for 10 years going in sometimes 2-3 times a week today, we are thinking of going elsewhere from now on. They are no longer requiring their employees to wear masks. The wet behind the ears little snot employee told us maybe we should go elsewhere to shop when we asked about his mask. Then, we get to check out and the cashiers, no masks. Husb asked his fav cashier why no mask and was told it was optional. We left the cart in the line and walked out. I normally come into grocery outlet first before visiting any other grocery store. Sometimes they have items at great prices, sometimes it's just a bunch of junk. They sell a lot of processed and frozen food. Things I don't usually shop for. They have a small produce section, but you can usually get better and less expensive produce at El Toro or Cardenas. My favorite thing about grocery outlet is the household good section. They have really nice Faberware knives on sale ALL of the time. I also bought my casserole dish here. It is a nice, heavy duty "The Good Cook" brand. I got it for $7. What a steal. It is also a great place to buy tupperware containers. You can get things like coffee creamer, cream cheese, shredded cheese, etc. here at a good price. Just make sure to check the expiration dates!!!!! read more

This is a really fun store to visit because the inventory is always changing. G.O. gets alot of special bargains and closeouts, so you'll find stuff here you've never seen before (and may never see again!). If you like it, buy it, because it may not be there when you come back. This market is a great place to find a huge assortment of groceries at insane prices. They have meats, cheeses, shampoo, nuts, breads, eggs, milk, etc... Even if you have to drive a bit, the prices are so low, it makes it all worth it. I will usually stock up on dry goods (just check the expiration date). The people that work there are always friendly & my family loves the selection. Often the Grocery Outlet will carry brands from Canada or things that are organic or local items or things that are not found at big chain markets. This store is very clean. The items on hand change weekly, so I can always find something new to try. The staff is very helpful and they don't mind going out of there way to provide quality customer service. The only issue is that the store isn't in the best neighborhood. I only go in the daytime and have had no problems up to this point. It's a great source for discounted health food items such as protein powder. read more

I've gone to different grocery outlet bargain market store's before. This one has to be the worst. I came to visit my Mom and I took her to run a few errands. We had gone to dollar tree and decided to walk to this place because she needed a head of lettuce. We were having a conversation as we were walking inn. The fat cashier in the front ringing people up was yelling. I didn't realize she was talking to me until a lady in front of pointed it out. I turned around to acknowledged her. She starts yelling like crazy along with another cashier. I didn't know you aren't allowed to walk in with bags. So I'm explaining to my mom who's freaked out and just came out of her chemotherapy treatment as both women continue to yell hysterically. My mom isn't supposed to be by her self because of her weak bone condition. I walk to back to the car to drop off my bag. When I come back in to the store I hear the one of the ladies says a really rude remark to me. "You mad because you got caught?!" I ignored her and went to look for my mom. What bothered me was the fact that you aren't treated like a human being. You're automatically treated like a criminal. I've been to places were they have the same rules. They actually approach you and ask if you can leave your things in the front or place them in your car. You don't have to hysterical Women yelling at you treating you like a criminal as your walking inn. The building isn't in the best location in Hemet. You should shop here during the day time. The parking lot is laid out poorly so pay attention to the folk walking out of Little Cesar's on the West side. Once inside you will have you have regular customers who shop everywhere with their pets. Yes dogs in carriers. I don't think they are all therapy dogs but I also didn't ask for cards. They have lots of unexpected items that are liquidated by either the manufacturer or stores. Sign up for the email and save $3. Okay so the regular customers shopping with pets threw my game off a bit. They have a lot of items I wasn't expecting. Kind bars, Bolthouse farms, organic beef and lamb. Crazy deals for Amy's Kitchen and Gardein. It keeps on growing. When you sign up for the $3 discount you can get an email for weekly deals. Plus some bargain deals of overages they need to liquidate NOW. They have this section called NOSH which is organic snacks. Great deals for gluten-free items and powdered Vega drinks. Everyone is extremely helpful like impressive helpful! They stop doing their job of filling the shelves to assist you. Not just go in the back and sit on a crate and come out and say sorry. They just so attentive. I was looking for Gardein "chicken" tenders in bulk. The sweetest young lady in produce stopped look in the frozen section where it could be and 2nd location. Yes she went in the back but came back with a printout of items they carry. I told her I follow a couple of vegans on Instagram. They go to the location in Lakewood. She mentioned that makes sense if the area surrounding the store have vegans and vegetarians the demographics cater to their customers. But don't give up hope because they are growing and expanding their selection. This grocery store makes clean organic eating possible for EVERYONE! This includes everyone on a tight budget. Shopping here is an adventure of sorts. You never know what you'll find. If you find something you like and won't go bad, buy a lot because it may not be there next time. The only drawback is that not EVERYTHING is carried and some produce is not up to snuff, but other things like salad greens, bananas, bags of bell peppers, bagged spinach, are very good and super cheap. They even have organic items. They carry unusual items you don't see other than in a specialized grocery. It's the go to place for cheap wine. When you find an exceptionally good one, come back to buy a bunch before that one is gone. They carry lots of health food items you don't find in a regular grocery store. It's a great place to find frozen food items like bags of fruit for smoothies, unusual ice cream, frozen shrimp, all of it at bargain prices. They also carry vitamins, toothpaste, soaps, deodorant, etc. There are loads of household items, kitchen utensils, etc. On top of bargain prices, the staff is super friendly and helpful. read more

I have shopped at this store for 3 years since moving to Hemet. The prices are great and the employees are really nice. My entire fruit tree garden is from there! Although you can't expect to find the same selection as other grocery stores, it is well worth shopping there first. This is a convenient store for me to grocery shop at after work since I recently transferred to the area. They will send coupons and specials to your email address if you sign up for the newsletter. The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices on the groceries are decent for both generic and name brand items...just be cautious of the expiration date if you are not using the items right away. The store pretty much carries just about anything that you may need, although the selection on meats is low, which is understandable. I have noticed that the price comparisons tend to be based on the highest that any other business may post the product for, which is a bit unrealistic. It is helpful to know what the price ranges are when you make your purchase decisions. Since I tend to shop at many stores in any given month, I know the price range of the products and can pretty much tell if this business is overpricing on the comparison. All in all, not a bad place to shop for all your grocery needs and I definitely will become a regular customer. read more
