Clean , well stocked store. Very busy. Only downside is parking can sometimes be an issue.

We get it that this is a lower priced grocery store, and the way they accomplish that is because they supply items that are not typical in other grocery stores, discontinued items, items that are very near their expiration dates, etc. So Yes, you have to be careful in what you purchase. They have increased their organic products which is a plus. I purchased garlic bulbs in the mesh nets, (twice). The first bulbs I purchased when cut into were moldy and already mushy. Had to throw it away (freshly bought, tried day after I purchased) no longer edible... thought maybe it was a fluke so recently bought another pack. Same condition! I did notice spots of black mold on the outer skin, but thought maybe it did not reach the garlic buds. Wrong, it was just a tell tale sign and the buds were rotten, with sprouts already growing at the tips. Waste of money. Just want to warn consumers about this issue. Maybe it has something to do with the climate where the crops are grown but GO should be more careful. read more

Straight up. I won't go back here due to the fact that people are allowed to bring in obviously non service animal dogs and shop while dogs shed sand from beach, scratch fur, put noses on food packages, and lick on things on the store floor. I have seen this so many times that I have eliminated this place from stores I shop at. I even contacted GO corporate about this and nothing was done. This GO is worst for letting dogs in store. read more

This store is located right along the beach. There is plenty of parking for customers, and the employees there are very pleasant to deal with. The store has a wide variety of groceries including organic produce and food products. The prices were much lower than other big supermarkets, but if the prices are too low, you have to check the expiration dates. read more

What was once a shopping adventure is no more. Foods from the Mediterranean and the Middle east are gone. Pickled Polish salad and varieties of kimchee are gone. Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Japaneses foods are gone. The store now reminds me of the Outlets in South City or Truckee, super bland. Someone killed the goose who laid the golden egg. Wow! I can't believe I've wasted so much money at Whole Foods!! I'm finding the same brands I normally buy at Whole Foods and Sprouts at Grocery Outlet! That includes MANY gluten free options (amazingly). The Pacifica location has more healthy brands and gluten free options than I've seen in the East Bay and Redwood City locations. I also stumbled across eco-friendly supplies like paper plates... I was at the outlet last Monday and I tried to purchase 5 bottles of wine. Each wine bottle had a sticker which said :extra 20% off wine sale:. I got to the register and the cashier told me it only applies if you have the app. I didnt so he would not give me the 20% off each bottle. It was not his fault, but he did say management should have posted somewhere in the store about the app. Not a good job by management and they lost a good customer . By the way, I was told that starting tomorrow, the discount applies if you have the app or not. Im waiting for management to explain their bad business practice. This is my go to store although they don't always have everything i need, and the employees while nice are often cluesless about what is in the store. Thus no 5 stars abut solid 4. The owners if your listening, stock Egg Whites and please make sure your employees at least know the products that are in your weekly ad. But for the most part everything is cheaper than Safeway across the street and sometimes cheaper than Costco too. It is always a bargain hunt in there but they have stuff Safeway doesn't have. I do an AM green smoothie daily and nearly all the ingredients come from Grocery Outlet, many of which are 2x more on Amazon and you would probably have to go to Whole Paycheck to get the rest (buik Spirlina, Tumeric, Moranga, beet root and other powders). If you haven't tried Grocery Outlet you should, and the $5 things is optional I have said no a million times and never had a seconds grief, i did it a few times but I always forget to cash back in. Who wants to hear a story Yelpers? OK gather round... I used to be somewhere between 4 and 5 stars on this store/company. Then one day a clerk offered to donate $5 to some "good cause" and get $5 off my next reciept. OK Fast forward to next time I'm in GO store and just so happens the receipt is in my reusable tote - so naturally I present it at check out. And here dear yelpers - is where the store lost between 1 and 2 stars. The clerk checks my receipt and informs me that he cant apply the discount because "the discount period hasn't kicked in yet". And guess what - he's right, the fine print is very clear. So thats on me. So what have we learned from this tale - yelpers? ANSWER: To always reject offers by corporations to contribute to THEIR charity of choices, which they will use for a tax write off and to bolster their PR cred, but implement ridiculous customer hostile policies. And just to be clear its not the $5. Its the hoops they want their customers to jump thru. Other than that --- wonderful people, wonderful company, wonderful service. read more

My favorite grocery outlet in the area, this place has ample parking and a larger selection of food then other grocery outlets. Also the staff and service here are much better, more welcoming and attentive staff that make the shopping experience better. I will come out of my way to shop at this location over other locations which are closer to my home. Prices are always low and excellent as you'd expect and the quality of the produce and meats are solid. Great Value! I always feel like I'm getting a good deal for the money I'm spending. Fyi the parking can get a bit tight on the weekend so recommend coming during the week. read more

I'm disappointed in Grocery Outlet. I've shopped at their stores a lot but since the pandemic, they have gotten much more expensive. Bargains are hard to find. Fruits and many vegetables are especially overpriced. The frozen fish selection is very limited and overpriced. As is the pizza section. And don't get me started on the chips and snacks. Sheese. Sometimes I go into their stores and leave without purchasing anything as I did in Redwood city on Thursday. So sad. The company needs to hire better buyers who can seek out actual bargains. I'm a huge fan of Grocery Outlet that gets the lion's share of my grocery budget but this location in Pacifica needs more inventory! It's the most visually appealing of any of their locations- it looks like a Swiss chalet from the outside. The aisles are spacious but they have only a fraction of the inventory of other GO locations. It's seriously sparse. The only department that wasn't lacking is wine and beer. They had an enormous selection and quantity. But eggs, olive oil, baking, household, produce, meat, pet food were highly edited. I'm used to *pallets* of products, not 6-10 bottles of avocado oil or a 3 cans of coconut milk on shelves. Cereal, hope you like sugared cereal. Oatmeal? It's not there, it's on the other side of the store. I was puzzled. And I walked out with $100 worth of grocery outlet great deals! ‍ The parking reminds me of back home at Trader Joe's, scarce.. don't let that steer you from coming here though. This is one my of favorite Grocery Outlet Bargain Market in California. I say this with pride because I've been to a few and the one back in my hometown Modesto, owned by Bob has the best prices and organic section. These 5 stars goes to the overall shopping experience, cleanliness of the store, friendly staff, and my check out experience. I bought an item that was marked 9.99 but rang up 24.99 after I had checked my receipt. I called back and a supervisor Dan was able to resolve that. Instead of giving me one option, to return the product, Dan went above and beyond and honored the price. I could live without the backpack however the 9.99 price was a bargain I couldn't pass up. Parking can be a struggle with the local surfers and people going to Soul Grind, I've been able to find something, just be ready to hunt. Prices are great, food is amazing, and it's clean. They do have bathrooms located in the back left of the store. This is now our go-to shopping destination for groceries. We bring insulated bags for cold items for our drive home. read more

I've not been here for a while, but the past couple years, I've been returning when I'm in the area. Last week, I dropped by after eating lunch next door. Normally, I don't get perishables (food) bc the expiration date is usually very close. But I looked at the meat bc a customer overheard my conversation on the phone. So, i went over and checked out the meats--i was surprised they carry better quality meats than the handful of Grocery outlets in the Bay. I ended up buying (organic) chicken breast, ground lamb meat (never had this since it's not an item easily found unless at a farmers mkt), and steak from oregon. Caution that if you buy food and perishables to consume fairly soon. I bought eggs before from various Grocery Outlet and they don't get consumed asap and ended up being rotten. Hence, i tend to buy my eggs at TJs. I've bought coconut creamer i use for coffee at seriously mark down when they are at the best buy date, so i just ensure i use it during the week asap after opening it and for that price. Same with hummus. So, just be mindful. The store is at a convenient location and this particular store carries slightly better stuff than some of of their other stores. read more

Love Grocery Outlet, was excited to see this place open up in the old SuperMax location, have been very happy shopping as I do quite often. I wear a mask and I'm fully vaxxed & boosted, and I do it because I'm around people who are vulnerable and I do it out of just basic human decency and respect to other human beings. Most employees in this store wear masks. I appreciate that. I also like this store because unlike Safeway across the freeway, there is *space* in the checkout lines to socially distance. It's just far more pleasant to shop here. However, I'm checking out yesterday with a nice masked clerk behind the plastic barrier and another person NOT WEARING A MASK appears right there next to me and unnecessarily leans close in the confined space of the checkout lane asking if I'd like to buy bags. Now I understand complexity of viruses may be far outside the grasp of your average uninformed person, or even very basic math that nearly 1 million American humans, young and old, are dead now only because someone who likely had no symptoms shared a few particles of the same oxygen. That masks are more about protecting exhaling than inhaling particles. That vaccines, as all things in life, are never 100% protection from a slow and miserable death, or a physical and neurological symptoms for the rest of their life. etc, etc. These and *many* more facts must be integrated into one's mental cortex to fully understand why this pandemic exploded, and could again with far worse consequences if we don't shape up & get on the same page with competent leadership, like we had with H1N1. See, it only took ONE person carrying the virus in 2020, a million dead by 2022. That's not too hard to understand, is it? I would give this place 4-5 stars especially for produce, but the parking is absolutely ridiculous. There are signs that say not beach parking and that they will be towed. Meanwhile I am looking for parking and there are three trucks with people putting on their wet suits behind it. I could not find parking. Great market! I haven't shopped here until recently, neighboring shops have been just too expensive for basic items. I'm so so so surprised and happy to have finally shopped here. The staff that assisted me was super friendly, everything I got was a fair price. I will say, you really have to watch the expiration dates, like seriously check them before buying! Mostly stuff here is going to expire soon so be mindful. I found some super cheap plant pots (under $3) and they also had potting soil (I'll be back for you!). If you are looking for a specific product or recipe, this might not be the one stop shop for you, some brands are off-brands, and they don't carry everything, but for everyday, "making dinner" type shopping, I would definitely recommend. Shoppers beware! Fresh & Easy used to occupy this space prior to becoming a Grocery Outlet store. The newest and latest location is in Pacifica by Linda Mar Beach. Although there's a closer location near me in South City on Hickey Boulevard, I would rather go to this location for the simple reason that this store has a lot more and better products. It's also cleaner and more organized compared to the South City location. However, just like any Grocery Outlet location, it's dangerous shopping here because you tend to overspend every single time. I'll come here looking for one product and end up coming out with 10 or 20. This tends to happen a lot so maybe it's something subliminal that they are doing. Or maybe I'm just a lousy shopper and buy things on impulse and wants rather than needs. Whatever it is, these guys know what they are doing since they're making a killing off of me every time. Why am I writing a review for a grocery store? I have no clue, except every time I come here, I end up exclaiming: I freaking love this grocery store! I come here about every other weekend, after surfing in Pacifica. The bathrooms are fairly clean, the store is always well stocked, and the most amazing part? Is that there are tons of amazing, high quality grocery, for a very reasonable price. This weekend, I bought 2 fresh avocados, 2 bags of salad mixes, 1 zucchini, 1 onion, 1 salsa, 1 bag of tortilla, dozen eggs, 6 Icelandic yogurts, bag of cheese, some meat, and 1 almond x cashew milk+ flax seed. How are the employees washing their hands after using the restroom? The answer is they're not. I've sen emoloyees go in at the same time as I do and leave without washing their hands. Can anyone say fecal contamination of food?There's never any soap! When you go on break check the soap in the restroom. If there's none fill the damned thing! Same great prices as before. And pretty good selection too. However there was a problem this time. When I went to use my card I was happy to see that chip and pin is enable. Butt the terminal would not accept my PIN and stopped accepting digits when the digit count was shorter than the pin I use.
