I have been to this store about a dozen times. I have never seen a 2-liter bottle of regular Coca-Cola on the shelf. Last Saturday, I went there, and there were none. I went back on Sunday, and there were none. So, I asked an employee for help, and he went to the back of the store and brought me one. Today, July 13, I went there about 4 PM, and there were none on the shelf. So, I asked a Hispanic woman for help. She went to the front of the store for a moment, then came back and told me they were out of stock. I went to the book store, then stopped back at Grocery Outlet about an hour later. I asked an Asian-American guy for help. He went to the back and got me one. These are just the most recent examples that suggest to me that your chances of getting help depend upon which employee you ask. In any case, they need to stock the shelves. read more

Very disappointed that this store is using Covid-19 as a reason to lock the restrooms. Prices on grocery staples are comparable to Ralphs and Albertsons, and they have kept their restrooms open. Stater Brothers has better prices and better quality produce, they kept their restrooms open as well. Don't waste your time for the few dollars you'll save on random off brand snacks. read more

I came here with a long list as I'm just starting a new diet(and we all know how that can be) I anticipated spending $150 + an additional stop at Walmart for $50. So my budget was $200.. The prices here are just like the prices back in my home state of Ga extremely cheap! I stocked up on what I need in addition to a couple things I didn't and my total came up to be $60.00 anywhere else that would have been a easy )120.00 I got chicken great for $5.00 A WHOLE BAG! This location is located in a wonderful area. However, inspect ALL products before purchasing any item. Why? I consistently find products that are out of date or rotting on the shelves. They do have a great wine selection and their fresh fruit and vegetables are worth checking out. Sales associates are bored to death and couldn't care less. Love coming here! Lots of great discounts on everyday food items like condiments, produce, meats, snacks, etc. Makes me feel like I'm effectively saving! The selection isn't huge meaning there will be only one brand of chicken soup or one brand of flour, but who cares? Staff is always friendly too. So I've shopped at this location consistently since they opened. Compared to the other 2 locations, this one often has mispriced items or the prices are missing completely. They also don't honor any of the mispriced or misprints for pricing that is on the shelves. I guess that's the offset for affordable products. So just beware of the prices as you are going thru check-out. read more

Most of the foods here are packaged boxed stuff. So I don't even bother. I've looked at the fruits and veg and they are ok. After looking around i haven't bought anything yet. The store is clean and brightly lit and in Woodbridge center, so it's a plus. read more

This place is amazing. It had very cheap prices compared to other places on very good brands such as Mac n cheese and cereal. It had all the stuff you would need to buy for a last minute Christmas decoration shopping. The best part about it was the people who worked there. Tonight I went there and lost my phone afterwards. So as an ex customer Nicole and Kevin are rude to customers and their workers they never have the right signs up and I know for a fact that they have a 100% guarantee for returns but they don't want to honor it. I had an issue with Nicole over the Christmas items the sign said 50% off Christmas items and she gave me sass and attitude about it and I have witnesses as well and her associates have seen her be rude to customers. Yeah, there were some great prices on some meat, canned goods and wine. The organic grass fed ground beef was good. I was thrilled to see the lower wine prices, but the thrill left as soon as I tasted my $3.99 Pie in the Sky Cab. I've never described a wine as "putrid" but that's exactly how this wine tasted. It's not even fit to sell at The Dollar Store for 99 cents. Bitter, sour, off color taste. I would never know it was even remotely related to Cabernet. I'm a senior who doesn't drive and I'm not about to call Lyft and waste more money to go get my money back. So FOUR BUCKS down the drain... LITERALLY because that's what I did. Poured it down the drain. They are nothing to compete against my favorite store with the initials of T and J!! I awarded another star for their cleanliness, friendly cashiers, groceries, produce and meat. Not that they are outstanding but they aren't as bad as the wine I bought. It seems that there are a lot of organic foods here. The meat selection was very limited and the store had, overall, much less available than I would find at any other grocery store chain. Prices were not cheaper than at any other grocery chain store. Worth going to if this is the closest supermarket to your home, but otherwise not really worth a special trip! read more

I am familiar with this chain from when I lived in HB. I shopped the Westminster location. The prices are truly lower and kinda neat to have odd ball items like yoga mats and window covering. These are top quality items. Last year I purchased swim goggles , charcoal filter water bottles and water jug. All great and still use! This is the first place I go for cough and cold items and health and beauty. I love a particular generic brand of a beauty product they carry and I usually buy all 12 when I see them. When shopping at this chain you have to be open to different brands your are not use to. There are name brands just not the 5 choices you may normally have at other grocery chains. It covers the basics it may be a different brand. I laughed when I saw "Libbys" brand caned fruits. Have not seen that brand in years! This new Irvine store is pretty cool. It has a little bit for everyone. I am not a vegetarian or vegan but I feel this store has a HUGE selection for that lifestyle. There were a lot of healthy options. I was surprised to see the large selection of frozen international foods, Indian, Chinese and Mexican. The meat and cheese look good. Their fruits and vegetables looked fresh. I need to note that was the only thing that kept me from shopping at the Westminster location. They let that go. It became very poor quality and very unappealing to shop there. While shopping at the Irvine location this weekend I felt I was getting Gourmet quality goods for " bargain " prices. I could see myself making this my main shopping store. read more

Great selections of healthy type foods, craft beer and wine. Currently they offer a lot of coupons for additional savings. The prices are better than Ralph's/Albertsons but not as cheap as the dollar stores. Can easily ride bike to this location and a great addition for the Woodbridge neighborhood. This place has the best deals around. They carry a-lot of good quality products there. you can buy the same products there that you can find at Albertson's or Gelson's for a fraction of the price..... If you like ice cream they got a killer ice cream selection. read more

So I was there today to see if things have changed. And yes, they have. I was told it was changed management and the Grocery Outlet Corporate had it up for Auction which means the previous owners weren't managing it to it's full potential and probably underperforming relative to what other Grocery Outlets were doing. This was told to me by a staff member who didn't really want to talk about it but I was curious. Whoever is running it now needs to correct many issues. I saw expired Starbucks cold brew for the same price they had it at 2 months ago prior to expiration. They need to be better at inventory management especially since they buy so close to expiration. Consumers are a lot smarter than you give them credit for so get with the program and manage the store better. I regularly go to the Costa Mesa location and it is much better run than this mess. Absolutely love this place as you find excellent products at lower cost. Often you'll find near expiration date products at the fraction of the cost and all you have to do is put it in the fridge. We all know expiration dates are legal protections and marketing than anything else. I also love the workers work ethics and helpfulness. My husband and I are Trader Jo's organic shoppers and honestly the organic items are far less costly than TJ's. read more

My new favorite market for all of our favorite healthier options snacks and such. Name brands like Pop chips, Pirates Booty, Lara Bars, Fiber One, Kind Bars all for 99 cents a box or bag. Great selection of produce and great deals on salad mixes and kits. It's kind of like a scavenger hunt as same and similar items can be found in multiple aisles in the store but not something I mind. Not sure that I would do all of our regular shopping here since they tell you point blank that items vary so I'm curious what the consistency of things is. Wouldn't necessarily come in looking for anything in particular but with a family of 5, can't really beat the prices for lunch fixing and snack foods. I would have to give three stars. They have really great prices compared to Ralph's or Albertsons. I wouldn't say it's your own stop shop kind of grocery store. They seem to have very limited items which make sense being an outlet. One of my main issues is the customer service. It was worst than being at Walmart. The cashier I had today didn't say a single word to me other than paper or plastic and looked upset when I told her I needed bags. Also bagging the grocery's killed me. They put my grapes on the bottom and then canned tomatoes on top...could be since there was no baggers other than the register employee. Maybe need to higher some baggers? read more

This place is really nice and the staff, they're so friendly. My daughter is coming over this evening and I want to make her a nice dinner. They were low on their shelves of their Grass Fed Steaks. I saw Kevin (he owns the store w his really nice wife) and I asked him if they had any in the back. He replied, Yes, and brought me a pack of 2 really nice, Grass Fed Rib-eyes. I didi not have to make a second trip. I have bought so many things, is all categories from this place, it is great. My newest find was a Haagen Dazs- Blueberry/Vanilla/Real Chocolate ice-cream, it is amazing. Definitely try it, they have name brands, organic selections and so many extras. As an example I buy their Choose Foods-Avocado Mayonnaise 24 ounces, $9.99 elsewhere $9.99 for 12 ounces. They have a great selection of Wines, Coffees, Eggs, etc. I am very happy my friend pushed me to go there to see for myself the quality they have at discounted prices. read more

I think this place is a good neighborhood grocery store if you are not looking for specific brands. The selection can be limited and they don't have as many items as the other grocers. I've been to this new location numerous times and have been so happy with the entire experience each time. There are quality brands found at Mothers, Sprouts and Whole Goods that are bought as surplus or that type of purchase. Totally valid expiration dates and definitely a "find". Irvine has a plethora of high end and very pricey supermarkets, and a wide variety of regular supermarkets. This is a welcome addition to choices in our midst!!
