    Candy/snack aisle

I came to this location for the first time since I was in the area running errands. Surprisingly, this store is less busy than the other one I frequent. This one was also organized differently where everything was on the opposite side e.g. produce was on the left, liquor was on the right along with the candy/snack aisle. I also liked how they seemed to have more options than most. I liked the Auntie Annie's frozen meals as those have gone up in price usually now $6-8 in higher end grocery stores. I also liked how it was as open, bright, and smelled clean, less crowded. Parking was no trouble. It's right next to the Big Lots store off Elkhorn Blvd.

I absolutely love the deals I find at Grocery Outlet. This store is new, nice and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I love the variety of items and I love all the healthy and Keto friendly items they have. They have great discounts and many times clearance food items are even lower priced. I can always find a great deal on cereal for my kids. I love to check here first before I do my regular grocery shopping elsewhere. Have had great produce from here. Love this location!

My baby haul. So proud of myself didn't buy out the store as usual lol

I didn't know Grocery Outlet snuck into North Highlands! We needed to stop by Walgreens and noticed a new Grocery Outlet (yayyyy) and decided to stop in since we needed a few items (my famous words each time I walk into a GA lol). The new store is a smaller than other locations but didn't lack the variety GA is known for. I appreciated the extra wide isles, shelves and produce stocked well, shiny, cement style flooring similar to Costco, and Kombucha was $1.49, say what?!?! I had never seen diet Ginger Beer before (brand was from Bermuda, how about that!) and it was delicious; going back to stock up this week! Captain Crunch was .99 for the large box woot woot! Decided to be a kid again and purchase some when I need a break from tofu smoothies or steel cut oats for breakfast. Nice GA location, will definitely be back.

Their wine section has an amazing selection from all over the world at unbeatable prices.

The Grocery Outlet store in North Highlands is my favorite grocery store. With a wide variety of gourmet items and good variety of organic products, the store offers a clean and friendly environment for its customers. Furthermore, the store has an amazing cheese selection and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. The store is LOCALLY-OWNED, with amazing selections of produce and deli food. We're weekly shoppers often finding everything from vegan meals and products to grass Fed organic meats and whole grain pasta. We buy our toiletries and cleaners really everything. The staff are always friendly and seem genuinely happy to help and be there. I prefer to support local small business store because they care!

While looking through things you have to really look at the items from every angle because there's a lot of things that are either torn or just sewn awkward. I did find a few great things. They have decent prices. This store is basically a cheaper version of Ross actually owned by Ross. The woman at the register was very friendly and polite. She seemed to enjoy working there. That was nice. I've read some reviews complaining about the fact that you can't walk around with shopping bags from other stores and that they make you feel like a thief. Here's my take on that. If I walked in with bags from other stores and they asked me to leave them at the register I wouldn't have a problem at all. I know I'm not going to steal but judging by that store policy it is obvious that more people than they'd probably like do steal and so it's not personal. It's general. How would they pick and choose who has to leave a bag at the register? Based on appearance? No. So everybody, bags stay at the register.

Last year I tried to make a return and she refused to respect the return policy, it felt as if she was discriminating me over a simple return. I recently visited the store again and was disappointed to see that she still worked there. Based on past reviews it seems that the manager and her staff almost go out of their way to be rude to paying customers.

Anyway, I love shops like this where you can "treasure hunt" so had to check it out. "Charity Shop Wholesale is a division of Charity Shop LLC. We help resellers, business owners, brokers, and more source quality return and overstock product to help their business's grow. We are also open to the general public FREE of charge providing great deals, 40% to 80% off the original retail price from companies like Target, Home Depot, Amazon, Lowe's, Walmart, Ashley Furniture and more!" We went to check it out briefly and were so glad we did. We did a brief look but saw nice discounted furniture that we're going to likely go back for! We bought cat litter that's normally $15 on chewy for $10. And a box of Japanese face masks that sell for $15 on Amazon for $9. Then hubby got hangry and had to leave. Charity shop is located near Big Lots and Gold's Gym and yay, on my way home from work / only 8min from home and open till 7pm on weekdays so I expect I'll be going there often now!!! Go check it out!

Hands down the best carnicería and market in the Sacramento/North Highlands area!…read moreI live in Roseville, about a 15-minute drive away, but it's absolutely worth the trip. I first visited after seeing a social media post recommending this place, and I'm so glad I did. It's always nice to try something new and walk away with such a great experience. This is a small, local meat and grocery market that truly delivers quality and service. Inside it looks like traditional Mexican markets with a variety of things to see and smell. I noticed they also serve food, but this time I came just to shop for Mexican grocery essentials--and they have a little bit of everything. The butcher was excellent: friendly, skilled, and professional. I really like that they don't sell pre-marinated meat; instead, they marinate it fresh on the spot upon request. The prices are fair for a small local business, and honestly, I'd rather spend my money here than at big chain stores that don't appreciate their customers the same way. When checking out, a kind gentleman (possibly the owner) greeted us warmly and even offered a free pint of salsa as a thank-you gift. That small gesture of kindness really stood out--it makes you want to return, not for the free stuff, but for the genuine appreciation and great service they provide. The salsa tasted amazing!! I highly recommend giving this place a try. On my next visit, I plan to check out their "pan" (Mexican pastries) and the restaurant side, which also looked amazing!
