    Amazing Produce

Tried Grocery Outlet, Yucaipa for the first time. It was amazing. The staff were so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I Started comparing prices from large grocery stores to Grocery Outlet. The general since I'm getting is that it's about half the price of what you find at a regular grocery store. Please give Grocery Outlet in Yucaipa a try. You will not be disappointed.

Good quality work at a fair price. Definitely recommend. Will be using this shoe repair professional again.

Their menu is posted above the cashier as well as the specials being posted closer to where you stand in line. Visited during a weekday around lunchtime and there were only a few other people ordering food. Tried a chicken burrito with everything (lite rice, beans, green salsa, guacamole and chipotle). The burritos are a good size. I only ate half then saved the rest for dinner. The burrito was delish, SUPER FLAVORFUL. Each bite was so good. The woman who answered simply said, "Hello," without identifying the store or giving any kind of professional greeting. Yes, of course I know where I'm calling, but as a business, you should still state the name of the establishment when answering the phone. It's basic phone etiquette and professionalism. After I asked my question, I was placed on hold and left there for over three minutes with no update or acknowledgment. It likely would have been even longer had I not finally hung up. I attempted to call back afterward, and no one answered. The staff answering the phones could definitely benefit from proper customer service and phone etiquette training. A simple professional greeting, clear communication, and checking back with a customer who is on hold can make a huge difference. Unfortunately since the recent owner change this favorite local supermarket is not the same as it used to be.

Just a heads-up for anyone trying to shop at the Vons in Yucaipa: you might want to save your time…read moreand resources and just head somewhere else. On July 6th, I went in to grab their 4th of July weekly special: ribeye steak for $7.99 a pound. The store was absolutely plastered with signs advertising the sale, but when I got to the meat department? Zero ribeyes in sight. Honestly, it made me wonder if everyone in the meat department had lost their fingers and just couldn't count well enough to do a decent inventory check! Jokes aside, this isn't an isolated incident for me. I've lost count of how many times I've left this location feeling defeated because basic essentials--like heavy whipping cream or standard grocery staples--are completely missing from the shelves. If you look at other online reviews, it's clear I'm not the only miserable shopper; there are tons of other incredibly frustrated customers dealing with issues at this store, even if they are complaining about different things. We aren't in a pandemic anymore, so there's no major supply chain crisis. Modern stores use computerized POS systems that track customer habits and automatically trigger reorders. Whether the staff just doesn't know how to use the inventory system or the distribution center is treating this store unfairly, they just cannot keep things properly stocked. Frustrated, I drove over to the Albertsons in Redlands (same parent company!). They had plenty of heavy whipping cream and the $7.99/lb ribeye ready to go. I also stopped by Stater Bros., which had an incredible, robust selection of the sale ribeye and the rest of my groceries. I've officially made a note to myself to stop wasting my time at the Yucaipa Vons. Hopefully, this saves some of you from a frustrating, empty-handed trip!

The apple cider was good, but I would've preferred it to be colder and not served in a Styrofoam cup. I'm assuming that's because it was the end of the day and it looked like they were running out of apple cider and other materials. I also got the apple cider popsicle for $2 which was a good deal. It was good, but I didn't like how the juice separated from the water during the freezing so it tasted like regular ice by the time I got to the core of the popsicle. For food, I tried their Strawberry Banana Sweet Bread and that was my favorite thing! It was not too sweet and moist. It was $6.50, but not too bad for a whole loaf. The interior was fun and rustic. There are several things to shop for from different baked goods to nic nacs. The service here was pretty good and the staff seemed nice and personable. There's some parking out front as well as some picnic benches and tables with nice views of the mountains and foliage while you enjoy your treats. Overall, a good stop for some casual shopping and to enjoy a sweet treat if you're ever in the Oak Glen area.

Here's what we ordered: Gyro - no tomatoes ** meat was delicious, everything about the gyro was a hit and I've had my share to know what's good Chicken Shawarma sandwich - with everything ** my third daughter ordered this and really enjoyed it Egyptian Pizza - there's only like 3 choices, the guy there recommended the meat, veggies, and cheese. ** I'm not a fan of anything soggy foods because I'm that person that won't eat it right away. The pizza is a little bigger than a personal sized pizza you would get from Pizza hut, but in the form of a calzone cut in 4. It's a little on the greasy end, my first and fourth daughter said it was just okay. Turkey Sandwich - w/no lettuce or tomatoes ** Again, I don't like soggy foods, so ordering this sandwich was a treat for lunch the next day. Sandwich is good, cheese is too thick for me, I tried reheating it during lunch, but the cheese refused to melt...so there's that! Baklava - Ordered a lot because who doesn't like baklava? I will however, suggest that you get the baklava tray in the actual market, it comes with a variety of flavors and it's only $11.99 (wish I had gotten a pic, but here we are)! Overall, I would recommend this spot to others curious about Egyptian food, it's similar to Mediterranean and worth the try. We would most likely return for the Gyro and Chicken Shawarma sandwiches. Oh and we also checked out the juice bar, the drinks were good too!
