It's been 5 years since this review my opinion on them hasn't changed whatsoever they're the best! My dog is very anxious and they always do a great job. After today's experience I decided to update my review and vow to never cheat on them again. I took him to animal kindness veterinary (same plaza) to get his vaccines & grooming done in one go. They called me to let me know they couldn't proceed without him being sedated cus he won't let his paws get groomed. They mentioned he caused himself an injury. I decided to opt out and pick him up. They charged me $85 for his grooming. They didn't finish paws and happened to rip his whole nail out!!! Idk if this is normal grooming because GROOM ROOM has NEVER done this to him EVER. With this bad experience from the vet clinic, I will never take him anywhere else but groom room. These ladies do a wonderful job and they're always kind and patient! Experiences like these make me grateful they're our go-to groomers. read more

So arrived to the appointment on time and it's my dogs first time to go to get his hair cut. I asked for a trim just to get that extra fluff off of him because it's hot outside. Me, thinking in the back of my mind thinking it's just gonna be a little shorter than before. They called me and told me he was ready to get picked up. When I first saw him I KID YOU NOT I DID NOT RECOGNIZE HIM AT ALL!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM IS WHAT CAME TO MY MIND! It looked so bad and I had mixed emotions. He was such a beautiful dog and now he isn't I get that they had a hard time combing through his hair because it's so soft that it gets tangled real easy but they cut his hair all the way to look like a SIAMESE CAT!! They told me that since his hair was like a mane, so they had to start all over and they basically shaved it all off. I know that it's the summer time and Vegas is not friendly tbut now I'm just unhappy with it. They said don't worry it will grow back. I'm just hoping that it's true. Stopped in to get a price on a bath and cut for my Great Pyreneese. Was quoted 120.00 for bath and cut (excellent price for his breed). Made appointment for following week. Wife took him in for appointment and at pick up time wife was informed that the 120.00 was just for a bath and did no cut for him. Wife attempted to tell them that she and I were quoted 120.00 for both a bath and cut. The person did not want to hear it and wife paid 120.00 and left with dog. I was not happy that the quote I was given was not honored! Went in a few days later and spoke with owner? employee? and stated that I was not satisfied with just a bath for 120.00, because I was quoted 120.00 for a bath and cut. Only statement made to me was that they were sorry, but 120.00 is only for a bath. Will not return! read more

I made an appointment for my Pomeranian for 10:00am on a Saturday. I dropped him off right on time and he was ready to be picked up around 1:30pm, just as promised. My dog hadn't been to the groomer in about 4 or 5 months so his hair was pretty long. The staff did an awesome job at giving a short lion cut. I always worry that his hair might get cut too but they got it just right! The bandana he was given had a cool ninja turtle print on it. We paid $40 which is pretty normal for a Pomeranian. The only down side is that they don't take walk-ins or same day appointments (which I totally get) and there area for the dogs who are ready seemed a bit small. I would definitely recommend and look forward to taking my dog back. Edit: It should be noted Groom Room was highly recommended to us by a relative who brings in two pitbulls. read more

I use to like them, however I took my dog which is a Chipoo and they shaved off his eyelashes and whiskers. I called and let them know that I was very disappointed that it happened and would never want him groomed again by that person. I called earlier this week and was told they didn't have any openings for 3 weeks. So today I called back to make an appointment and was told they wouldn't groom him ever again. I wonder why they didn't tell me that when I called earlier this week, as they had my information then too. They said because he was matted and didn't like his feet done he was difficult to do and that is why the shaved his face, which included his eyelashes and whiskers. Very Disappointed in them. He has curly hair and yes maybe his feet are a little matted his hair isn't. Just wanted to let others know, if you ever complain you probably won't ever be able to use them again. I wished I remember the name of the groomer so others could know. My dog allows me to cut his hair on his face and trim him, so I just don't understand how this one time it became a problem. read more

This is an absolutely horrible groomer. I came in to have my dogs groomed and was informed that my Standard Poodle was going to have to be shaved because she was full of matted hair. The groomer came to this conclusion after looking at the hair on her head. I ran my hand through my dogs hair and it did not catch on my fingers and there were no mats. I told her I didn't want my dog shaved and I also offered to pay her extra if she believed that there was matting. She then informed me I did have a poodle and I was required to brush out her hair, implying that I did not take good care of my dog. I was stunned at her rudeness. She then refused my offer to pay her extra and handed me back both of my dogs leashes and told me she was not going to groom my dogs, even though I had to wait almost 6 weeks to get my grooming appointment. She informed me she was the groomer and knew best and so evidently I had no right to disagree with her. I had not argued with her or raised my voice in any way, I was simply stating I did not believe my dog was matted and if she was sure my dog was matted I was willing to pay her the extra to take care of it without shaving her. I left there and went straight to a friend of mine who has owned poodles for many many years and asked her if she could find any matting on my dog. She said there was absolutely none that she could see and was stunned that I had been treated in such a manner by this groomer. I truly did not know that I did not have a right to state how I wanted my dog to look after being groomed. Evidently I'm supposed to pay the high price I am charged and except whatever I get back in return. I also walked away stunned at how rudely I was treated. read more

I have been taking her somewhere else for the last couple of months and wasn't too happy with the results so I decided to try somewhere new I have brought my other dog to the groom room to get her nails clipped so I decided to try them out and they definitely just got themselves a new customer I highly recommend it my husky had so much hair and was shedding so badly my house looked like it had snowed but seeing her they did such a good job she looks so clean her coat looks so shinny and she looked so happy!!!!
