Petsmart groomers - cool Mohawk on our Poppy!
Leia R.

We have been taking all of our dogs for years to this groomer & are very happy! I recently sent my husband without instructions, and he told the groomer to just make Poppy look nice... we were pleasantly surprised she decided to give Poppy a mohawk... And it totally fits her! We have three adopted rescue dogs, and one is part pug. Pugs cannot be in the cages for too long because they have an extra flap over their breathing airway. They always call us to pick up our pug mix, Gracie, and take great care of her! None of our dogs really have a lot of haircutting needs, outside of poppies little hair tufts on top of her head... but we use them for the teeth cleaning service, nails cutting, and squeezing anal glands. We have always been very happy and loyal throughout the years... They absolutely love our dogs and we always feel they're well cared for! That is important to us because we've had bad experiences elsewhere... Know that you can trust Petsmart grooming.

Absolutely pissed! Always go with your first mind. So i decided to switch up groomers because where I normally go was booked. I was greeted when i first walked in the grooming section. Yes i will admits my mini golden doodle has some small matted areas on her neck and back of her head. Her body WAS NOT matted as i had used a detangle solution and brushed her fairly well prior to the appointment. Now the groomer said she would go a little lower if she wasn't able to but this cut was absolutely ridiculous. Christina cut her down so low and even shave the hair off her tail WTH. When i saw my dog i could barely say anything else. The hair on top of her head was cut lopsided. I paid the the luxury furminator package 125 for nothing i could have skinned her at home. On top of the cut every time she's been groomed she smells nice. i didn't even smell anything of a nice fragrance on her. I would not recommend this groomer to anyone. I she was too matted i would have rather them call me and let me know that was shaving her to almost skin including her tail. A friend of mine didn't know i was going to this location and when i sent her the picture of my dog she cancelled her appointment You can't even tell the breed after this shity shave off! ABSOLUTELY pissed and will never be back. Here's her before and after

Ok chain store, when getting into one of his stores one has to have the understanding that profit is the number one priority. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they are doing their job and they do it very well. Animal hospital or clinic, training, grooming and hotel available within premises. Prices are on the high side.

I can't really say anything BAD about Petsmart. I just normally don't buy from chain stores unless I have to. My heart still lays with The Dog Patch in Naperville. Check them out! We usually end up here after lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. We like to look at the cats you can adopt and wish we had a bigger place to get another. It's like a happy and sad visit. Hope they all get homes cause they all deserve one. They have some cool things to look at and the staff is usually pretty helpful. I think it depends on the day though. Sometimes you get the ones that don't want to be at work and other times you get nice ones. We lucked out and got helpful ones the day we went. We ended up buying a cat climbing tower. It was a pretty good price for what it was so what the heck. Right? Happy cat = happy us. :)

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

She had plenty of tips and techniques and it was nice having her visit the home for the sessions to see how he is in that environment. After several mixed purpose sessions I feel like we're on the path to success, maybe. We hope .

After speaking with several training programs, visiting some, and prayerfully considering what the right choice should be Madi Potts helped make our choice easy. Before we would trust anyone with our little 7.5 lb boy, we had to get a sense of one's heart. My husband and I were not looking for someone who could simply "control dogs" or "make them obey commands". We wanted someone who had a heart for dogs to have better lives with structure, less fear, and longevity due to possibilities that came with what training offered. My first inquiry call with Madi was pretty long, if I recall right. She was patient, understanding of my many questions, and willing to talk as long as I needed to feel she was safe to go to next step with. We started with a 90 min at home training session to see first hand and understand how she would personally be as a trainer with Beans. That training was stressful and also a relief as we believed we found the right person to entrust our boy to. When the day came for him to be picked up, both my husband and I were crying. It wasn't just about trusting a new person to take care of Beans, it was also the resurfaced grief of losing our whippet girl of 11 years just a few months prior. The "what ifs" where overwhelming, but we agreed we were moving forward. Madi also saw our "anguish" if you want to call it that. She quickly said she typically doesn't give an update for the first 24-48 hours but she would update us that evening. To her word, we got a picture of beans at the park and our hearts settled a bit. Throughout the two weeks, Madi was wonderful about keeping us up to date and answering questions as needed or as we annoyed her (lol we might have been a little over the top haha) She never hesitated to share and ensure our boy was learning, and struggling in some areas, but overall doing great. Now that he is back with us, we have already had one of our follow up appointments and are so thankful Madi was who helped us with Beans. He was so happy to see her and made her say goodbye before leaving (even though he was supposed to "stay", lol). Training is still a ongoing work daily, Beans still doesn't love his crate but is accepting he is safe and it's ok to not see us 24/7 (Italian greyhounds are Velcro dogs to the max!) This was an emotional, time, and financial investment that we continue to place priority on. I know many will say do not board and train an Iggy, but for our family, giving him and us the tools to have a successful life together was important. We did our due diligence and don't regret our decision. Actually we are extremely grateful we found Madi and Suburban K9. When she left after our last follow up session she looked at Beans, gave him a scratch and said "I love you". I have no doubt she does, for that I am thankful. It is my hope everyone will find someone as knowledgeable and kind hearted toward an animals as Madi is. Thank you Suburban K9 for helping us learn puppy manners with Madi. We are forever grateful.
