Petiamo was in a cute plaza in Summerlin. It was easy to make an appointment and they asked for vaccination records. I took my dog to get groomed and came out "ok". They didn't ask for much direction and I was trying to explain what I wanted, but I felt rushed to give my dog and take him away (even though there was no one behind me). I had to fill out some paperwork and came back a few hours later. Price was a little more than average but I guess I expected it due to the area I was in. Overall, I thought it was ok. It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible, so I give it a one. I am beyond frustrated with this business. We are new in town and we're looking for great groomers. We went to 2 salons in Las Vegas before coming to petiamo and they both butchered my dogs haircut. I found that Petiamo offers breed and custom cuts. I called them asking if they have master groomers that specialize in scissor work. They said yes, that they're all highly skilled. I sent them an email of what their haircuts normally look like and asked them if they can accomplish what I'm requesting, again they said yes. I originally brought in my big goldendoodle for a haircut and when I arrived the man at the front told me they will have to be a shave down because he was matted. I know my dog had some mats, but I asked for them to demat, they can charge me for dematting. But he refused. I told them I was going to demat him at home and I'll bring him back for a haircut. A week later I take my big goldendoodle and mini goldendoodle for their haircuts. (I dematted my big golden and the man at the front desk said I did an amazing job. Little does he know that I personally worked at a grooming salon years ago and know how to groom). I tell them in detail what I want And they said no problem they can do it. 4 hours later I go and pick up my boys and their haircuts are horrendous. Their fluff dry is awful, the hair isn't fluffy or straight whatsoever. The hair was choppy all over. The most infuriating part was that my mini was matted and instead of dematting or calling me, they shaved him down. All in all I ended up paying around $260 with tip. A couple weeks later I go in to ask them for a refund because their work is unacceptable, I told them I don't appreciate the lack of communication. They asked me bring my mini back for a touch up but I refused since they butchered the first haircut. The man at the front (co-owner) tells me he needs to speak with his wife before he can refund me. I said I'll except an email from him. I'll attach the email. I paid these people $260 and they refunded me $40 because apparently their "cost" on these butchered haircuts was $200. read more

We've been getting Rascal groomed by the team at Petiamo since he was just a little pup (so like three or four years). Rascal is always nervous when we arrive and tends to jitter a bit. I've never cut hair or groomed a pet but I bet a jittery dog makes the process difficult. The pros of Petiamo always overcome his nervous and give him a great cut. Rascal always come back clean, fresh and with an even cut. I love the little bandana they deck him out with, too. The team is pleasant, prompt and professional. I love my Rascal and trust him to Petiamo, and you can trust your pet with them, too. (Side note - The black foam all over the gray carpet is ftom a punching bag explosion last night. My wife is out of town so we have yet to clean it up. Generally our carpet does not look like that and it won't when my wife arrives.) read more

Not unusual when we go too long before grooming appointments. Well, this was the worst haircut my dog has EVER had. We were in shock! Her ears were gone and her entire head was totally uneven. I'm a first time time fur mom and had no idea where to take my fur baby for her first groom. My girlfriend recommended Petiamo and it's literally 5 minutes from my house. Due to covid, the lobby is closed but the owner comes out to pick up your dog for their appointment. And since it was our first visit, he checked and confirmed that my pup's vaccination record was up to date and I really liked that because it was a sign that he is operating his business responsibly. Additionally, he explained what their groomers do and I so appreciated that as well. Best of all, my cat has not come back with any signs of distress whenever I pick her up and goes on about her day like nothing happened. This place wasn't bad, the people seemed nice, and I don't think they're bad at what they do. Unfortunately, we took our business elsewhere. Felt they were far too much like a factory. If your dog doesn't need a lot of attention, it's great. They're inexpensive, quick, etc. but they're way too busy and are looking for the fastest way to get your dog in and out as possible so they can squeeze as many appointments in as possible. I don't think this is a bad thing as long as you know what to expect. You pay less for them spending less time with your dog. If you don't like it, take your dog somewhere that will spend more time with them, give them a better experience, and do what is needed to maintain their coat. You'll likely need to pay more, which is exactly what we decided to do. read more

Once given to her she asked a few questions about my dog. She then refused service due to me not bringing her there in the past. She informed me I should bring her back to the previous groomer. What lead me to Petiamo was a need to change groomers. I used to be a customer for Best In Show off Sahara. Unfortunately, Best In Show just isn't the grooming salon they once were. Their customer service and grooming skills have diminished the last 2-3 years. With that said, I found Petiamo on Yelp. Recent reviews looked solid. I set up an appointment just before Christmas. Service was excellent. Staff ran efficiently and my dogs were ready for pick up after about 2.5 to 3 hours. Which honestly surprised me because my dogs were never finished that quickly at my previous groomer. Anyway, their cuts looked great! My wife was especially happy. If you're looking for a new groomer, give Petiamo a shot. read more

I can't really give a proper review since I was not able to use their services because apparently right now they don't take big dogs like my 1yr old poodle who is 51lbs. I called and left a voicemail, because "they were all busy taking care of other customers ", which is fine. I leave my name contact info and a short description of what service I was looking to book. I get a callback the next day from a gentleman named Leonard, who was friendly enough. He said he needed more info like my dog's vax record and his weight and if I could send that to their customer service email he would then get back to me on the time and day to schedule, Kogi, my dog. Mind you, they only say the customer service email in their phone recording and while you speak to a worker. It is not listed on any of their social medias or places where their business is posted like here on Yelp or Google. Don't know why when it's their preferred method of getting information. So I do what Leonard says and email the customer service email the required info. I sent a copy of his vax, a picture of him, how old he is and how much he weighs. I specifically told them to call me to discuss the schedule so I leave my name and number. I get an email back saying at this time they're not taking dogs that big. I wish he would have just told me that on the phone and not wasted my time waiting for a reply. Also make a note of that on your business pages so others don't waste their time as well. So if you have a small dog you have a better chance of getting an appointment. If you have a big dog look elsewhere since they can't do big dogs at this time. read more
