And they came out looking super comfortable and relaxed. I will be back because they don't use clippers on the nails but grinders, important cause my dog's quick is quite long and tricky. We brought our dog Blu in for a much-needed haircut, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Their pricing is amazing - especially compared to some other quotes I got. Blu had quite a few mats that I just couldn't brush out, but the groomers took their time, were super gentle with her, and got rid of every single one. She came back soft as ever, completely mat-free, and smelling beautiful! Even our other dog, who's usually annoyed by her, can't stop following her around and sniffing her That says it all! You can tell Blu felt comfortable and happy there - she kept going back to the ladies who took care of her, which melted my heart. And when I dropped her off, Suds alleged that one employee called in sick in the AM, so the pickup time would be 6pm/6:30pm. Firstly, I was beyond reasonable & understood that the situation was beyond her control. However, why didn't she or one of her staffs just call me, so I didn't have to drop off my poor dog off at 1:30p then to be told that my dog won't be ready until 6:30p?!! Not one single person apologized to me when I showed up at 6pm & and was told that my dog won't be ready until 7pm!! Don't overbook & unjustly let your clients suffer. We made dinner plans with my elderly parents, and the inconsiderate action of the groomer directly impacted my home life. It would be different if the business sincerely apologized. And to make matters worse, I specifically told Suds to trim my dog's tail shorter than before. When I picked up my dog, her tail was NOT trimmed at all! I dropped off my girls Appa and Luna after not seeing a groomer for 2-3 months. They were way overdue. I don't know if I'm happier or my dog! Took my Golden Retriever, Harper, in for her first grooming since I adopted her a few months ago. I was nervous. From the moment we walked in, I could tell our golden retriever was in amazing hands. The place is spotless, bright, and so welcoming. You can immediately feel how much the owner truly cares for every pup that comes through the door. She greeted us so kindly and took the time to get to know Charlie's needs right away, which instantly put me at ease. What I love most is that the dogs aren't placed in crates, it feels like a fun doggy daycare the moment you walk in! Charlie was wagging his tail from start to finish and genuinely had the best time. The owner gave us such great advice on how to better care for his coat (especially since his tail and back end get matted easily). She worked her magic and salvaged so much of his fur -- he came out looking amazing! She also went above and beyond when I called to ask if we could delay pickup because I got off work late. STOP Unfortunately I fell hook line and sinker in love with Suds when we first met. They did an amazing job with my golden and black lab. Unfortunately each trip after my initial visit we were surprised by an unexpected significant price increase. After the 3rd visit with yet another price increase we felt pretty manipulated. While I avoid confrontation. My husband tried To voice how disappointed and unethical changing prices with no warning or posting on any sort of price sheet or menu of services. Then Suds (the owner) proceeded To explain since we only take the dogs 2-3 times a year she needs to charge more. Baffled and deeply disappointed. I recently tried to get in again and was told no availability until May (it's the second week of March ) I asked what her prices were and she said they have higher rates and that my husband would not be happy to hear that. I explained again why we were so disappointed and that we had no warning of price increases and that it's just unethical to charge more with every visit especially because of the frequency we groom Our dogs. I don't even need to groom one of them. She goes to keep her sister company, Because she is so scared of the groomer. Anyway. I am very sad to say. She failed To even answer my text asking what the even higher rates were and took that as a clear message she would rather not have our business. From a 5 star review to less than 0 stars. Please Make sure you know the price and what you are getting yourselves into when dealing with Suds. On a much higher note We found a a much better groomer who took the girls in right away and charged nearly half of what Suds charged. Much better job and they were ready in an hour and a half! MY HAPPY GIRL AFTER LEAVING THE BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR FAMILY PET GROOMED AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF, SUDS N BUBBLES. Just a little back story: My partner and I have been coming to Suds N Bubbles for three years now. We tend to go every three months or so, but every time we make an appointment, we NEVER have any issues with getting in. Suds always answers the phone and makes the appointment herself. She always says, " Yes, please bring in my LUNA" and it always excites us to know that the owner is very happy to see our little girl too. About three months ago, we took her to get groomed. Upon getting Luna back from Suds, Suds came out, as she always does, to give us recommendations or any concerns she may have. This time, it was concerns. She mentioned that we needed to take Luna to our vet as she was giving signs of UTI. Of course, me and my partner are not experts at such symptoms and we thought nothing of it before Suds told us to get Luna evaluated. Well, we took her to the VET the very next day and we were told that Luna had BLADDER STONES. She had them to the point where if Luna did not receive emergency surgery, her bladder would rupture at any moment which would cause serious problems to the point where Luna would pass away due to the rupture. We got her in for surgery and she recovered well. Our Vet told us if we waited longer, Lunas chances of survival would be very VERY low. With this being said, My partner and I would love to PERSONALLY THANK SUDS AND HER TEAM FOR LETTING US KNOW! If it wasn't for Suds expertise and attention to our pets well being, while in her case, Luna would have passed away and my partner and i would have experienced a HUGE loss in our family. Every pet owner, please know that your Pet is well taken care of here in this facility. I know because my pet was saved by Suds and her knowledge. Suds, you saved my pets life. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I've given Suds $100 tip up front, twice, and another tip when picked up a service dog. I took my other dog to her, a Standard Poodle. The tail was cut into a cone shape, I don't know why. Asked for clean face, dog comes back furry-faced with whiskers. Asked for semi-poodle feet (not show style bare), dog comes back with thick hair between toes. Suds refused to groom inside ears. Sent dog back two days later to have the groom corrected and completed. Suds will no longer accept my Poodle for grooming because I complain too much. I was bringing my dogs here for about 7 months and every time I brought my dog in, I talked about how we were growing his tail out because the last groomer cut it lopsided. I showed the groomer and owner photos of what the tail looked like before and would remind them at drop off. I picked him up last week and the tail was completely shaved. I was in total shock. Apparently the normal groomer was out of town and the person at the front desk didn't make the note to not touch the tail when I dropped him off. Suds has been grooming my dogs for over 15 years. I met her in the mid-2000s when she was working at Petsmart on West Charleston, and she took amazing care of my yellow Lab and my Beagle. I followed her when she went to a locally owned shop because I knew no one could give the same love and care to my fur babies. When I got a third dog in 2015 (a goofy and very large Coonhound mix), I continued to take all three of them to see Suds, and she cared for them like they were her own. Obviously, I followed her when she decided to open her own shop. Here, Suds has hired a phenomenal staff who all take great care of the dogs and groom them with love. On a very personal note, when my first two dogs (the yellow Lab and the Beagle Suds first started grooming 17 years ago) had to be put down three months apart from each other in 2022, I took each of them to see her before the in-home euthanasia vet came to my house. Suds gave each of them hugs and kisses because she absolutely loved them, and she was as heartbroken as I was to say goodbye to them. The dogs I have now, (a rescue Beagle and the 9 year-old Coonhound) are lucky to know Suds. They love going to be groomed, enjoy interacting with other dogs, and always come home looking beautiful! My maltipoo has had horrible experiences that when I took her to get groomed she would pee, shake and cry. I always picked her up with scratches from the clippers from other groomers.
