This place is easy to find, well organized, very clean, surprisingly quiet, and the groomers are very friendly and highly competent. I have a spicy Persian Rescue named Leo, and he had some matting because I had been away for a few months. My vet recommended GG and she was spot on! Candace groomed, my Leo and handled him gently and with so much professionalism. He looks like a different kitty now! I will definitely make GG my groomer of choice. My fluffy cat was seen quickly and was completed right at the expected time- so he never had to wait long. He was taken care of dearly and professionally trimmed to a short lion's cut. I wouldn't take your fur baby anywhere near this place. This is the second time I came here and they tell me the same thing "he's too matted to leave any hair" the first time I accepted it but this time NO. First of all she tried to speak the same thing to me and back peddled when she seen he wasn't matted and I brush him regularly since. I'm not sure if she just doesn't know what she's doing or simply wants to "take 'em down" because it's the easiest thing to do. My baby looks like a lawsuit on top of the fact his growing is irritated. He came home traumatized and I came home pissed. Keep in mind he's shih tzu and it's winter time. Knowing how I feel about his hair and time of year I would think they would at leasttry to keep some hair but now he looks like a terrier even after I gave instructions. I come all the way from Issaquah to get my dog groomed here. I found this place because my aunt has been taking her dogs here for years. The owner is hands down the dog whisper! My aunt raves about how the owner is the only one who could kiss her dog on the face and let me tell you. This dogs nick name wasn't Chuckie for nothing haha. She has some type of magic! I started bringing my dog here in the middle of Covid and hadn't been inside until this last time. When I picked up my dog he was extremely lethargic and had a limp. I was told it took a long time for him to dry and when I went in, I was able to see the very small kennel dryer that he was put into. He is a 75lb very sweet golden retriever and needless to say I will not be bringing him back. His groomer was very nice but he was extremely apprehensive every-time I dropped him off and now I know why. I have never written a bad review before but I felt that my dog was put in a dangerous situation and wouldn't want anyone else's dog to go through the trauma of heat exhaustion. read more

I'm giving a review because there aren't enough on this company. They were great with my pet. I just moved here to Seattle and my dog has experienced a lot of separation anxiety. I explained that prior to my appointment to one of the employees, and they ensured me they will take good care of my pet. I was aware my pet was pretty matted , but they treated it with such ease and great attitude that they could take care of him no matter what. Came to pick him up and he looked great and happy. I guess I forgot to review this place, they are amazing. Our dog hawk loves these ladies and they truly love him. They are chatty which I love when businesses make you feel like they want to be your friends even though they are actually very busy. We wouldnt go anywhere else . Its 5 minutes from our home here in parkland. They take same day apts, unless extremely busy. You can pick your animal right after they finish So you dont need to worry about them being kenneled for long time. Bring your animal here know they are getting celebrity attention. Dont forget to tip as they just handed you back your best friends with might I ad the cutest looking new hairstyles, gave them a bath before doing so which is something some of us hate doing. They give them manicures pedicures or "peticures" that's cute word for it. Yep grooming gals is the place to go for your animals best interest. The cat groom and bath provided by GG was not worth the 60$ that I paid. I succumbed to the pressures of tipping and even gave her a tip, which I wish I could take back if I could because she certainly didn't deserve it. She did a sanitary and belly shave on my cat, but didn't blend it into the rest of her coat, which resulted in her looking very choppy. Worst of all, she nicked two of her nipples with the clippers, which bled a little. At pickup, I asked if there were any accidents during the groom and she did confess to clipping one nipple (I discovered it was actually two when I got home and examined her closer), but brushed it off as something that happens all the time. Clipping an animal on her nipples and making her bleed shouldn't and wouldn't be a regular occurrence if the groomer take the time to be careful around sensitive areas and is good at their job. If you love your pet and want them to be safe during a groom, this is not the place. You can't trust them to treat your pet with the utmost care. read more

We go here to get our cat Judy a haircut. She is not the most cooperative when it comes to trimmers. She tries to bite at them and so they have to work around her bites. They always do a great job at doing her Lion cut! She comes back trim and smelling good! read more

I took my 10 year old cat here and she had never been shaved before and usually has an issue with leaving the carrier after a trip anywhere in it. They completed her cut in half the time as she expected and when my cat came home she jumped out of the carrier and started trying to play immediately. I don't know if they gave her tons of love while she was there or if she was that excited to have her hair cut but I am ecstatic how happy she seemed and how wonderful a job they did! They gave her a lions cut and did an amazing job! If I wasn't mistaken she got a better line up then some men who come out of the barber shop! Love these guys and they are totally affordable and for the price they even cut her nails and cleaned her ears. Other places wanted much more for the same thing. I will continue to take mittens here and will recommend anyone to Shawna's. read more

This review is based on their lack of customer service only..Since i did not use their services it would be unfair of me to make any comments on their grooming skills. I am not writing this review to give their business a bad reputation, but i am writing in hopes their customer service skills will improve. I have tried to use their services 3 times. The first time i called and left a message they were closed and i did not receive a call back. A couple months later i called to make an appointment on Thursday, 10/9/14, for the weekend. They said they were booked up over the weekend and had a Monday appointment. I let them know i was available all weekend and Monday. I tried to make the Monday appointment, but the rep seemed to be rushing me off the phone. She also said she would take my information and call me if an appointment cancelled over the weekend. I again, let her know i wanted a for sure appointment and Monday would work. Instead..She assured me she will take my information and call me either Friday or Saturday because they often have cancellations. I waiting for the call all weekend. I did not hear from any reps from Shawna's. I called today, Monday 10/13/14, and let the rep (a different rep from the original phone call) know the situation and she said there was no notes or anything about me calling on Thursday and she seemed to dismiss my concerns. So, the original rep i spoke to whom assured me she took my information down and would call me when someone canceled, did not even note information in their log, appointment book, or anywhere that any of the other groomers could see. I am highly disappointed in their organization and customer service skills. I will be taking my puppy else where. I hope this review helps them not make the same mistake with any other customers. read more

I called last minute - day before Thanksgiving - and they were able to work me in but also able to give the reassurance I needed to bring in my Poodle rescue. Fairly priced and excellent service! I was apprehensive. But, Sophie, my standard poodle was so well taken care of and had the best grooming job I've ever seen on her. I'm beyond elated! Sophie is a rescue and has extreme anxiety over being kenneled - part of my anxiety. But, she was in the kennel and resting pristinely looking like she felt so pretty.
