The lady working was super sweet so I feel horrible leaving a bad review but they left my cat completely botched. I said I wanted her whole body cut down because she has super long hair and they didn't cut her tail or legs. On top of that the whole cut is super choppy and uneven. This place was recommended to me by my mother in law and I'm so happy she mentioned it to me! The staff are super friendly and the owner is super nice as well. It was my pups first time there, and he was returned to me all shiny and clean. They made the walk in experience such a breeze. I dropped off my dog around 11am and immediately was told "yeah we can take him!" along with a pick up time for when he's finished. At first I walked in just to check and see if they were able to take my dog in. I'm happy I did before bringing my dog in with me because they do have few friendly cats that roam around and my dog doesn't do so well with cats haha! So I told the employee there and she said "not a problem!" And placed the kittys upstairs with the door shut behind. Pick up went just as smooth as the drop off! They even give you punch cards for every visit and eventually get a free grooming service once you've reached the amount of punches. Another thing I appreciated was that the employee wrote down the price for the full groom that my dog got so that every time I remember how much it would be. I really appreciated that. Lastly, they were able to get my dogs nails trimmed perfectly! My dog has always had issues with others touching his paws or just his claws getting trimmed, but I was happy to hear that they were able to get it done without a problem. I rescind my previous 5 star review. The last time I took him to get groomed, his eye got so swollen he couldn't see out of it for a week and he had an indent on his face from the muzzle. He does not bite, so he did not even need a muzzle. On top of that, they charged $95 to my card for a $55 appointment. read more

This is the most ghetto groomer faculty ever. They have teenagers grooming. Pretty sure they don't even extract the glands. Our dog almost died from kennel cough. Took our Maltese/ shitzu this weekend and this is what she came back as. Omg! She looked like a Lemur! Only took her there out of desperation because all the "professional" groomers were booked up. Last year same thing with our giant schnauzer. Came back looking like a baboon! read more

Friendly, helpful, talented, my dogs love it, my two golden retrievers love it here, it is so hard to restrain them when they want to get in that I typically open the door to the facility, and open the car door , with about an 8 foot difference between them and they bound into the facility. They come home well groomed, clean and happy. they are of course easy dogs to get along with, and enjoy, interacting with other dog. My review is based on my experience with their grooming service: I really like that they accept walk-ins, and the quality of service was wonderful! My Australian Shepherd really needed her bottom and legs cleaned up, and they did a great job giving her the length I asked for and making her fur so soft. They cleaned up her toes very nicely and gave her a cute little bandana too! The only thing I found strange was the sign-in process. When I walked in, immediately an associate placed a temporary leash around her neck and took off her collar and handed it back to me. I found it odd that the associate did not ask me why I brought my dog in, and didn't ask any questions about her or what her name was. After that, I filled out a sign-in sheet that asked for very basic info like her name and breed and my name and phone number, but it just seemed informal to me. This is the second time I've taken my dog here for service. The first time they cut her so bad that tons of her hair fell out while she healed. They blamed it on a pimple that was nicked, but that doesn't explain all the scabbing that was all over her back. The second time I took her in for only a nail clipping figuring they couldn't mess that up and they cut her paw pad so bad that she was bleeding all over me. This place is the worst! read more

We have taken our Jolene here many times. They take walk-ins, and they are always polite. Pricesfor our dog is ~$50 for a trim, wash, and nail clipping. The only negative is the amount of time it takes to groom her. On average, it takes them about 4-5 hours to get to her and groom her; she's a shy dog, so shorter is better. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Do not take your pet here if you value their health. They cut and razor burned my friends puppy's bottom and didn't even tell her. Her pup is traumatized and this could affect her entire life in regards to grooming. When called and left a message was never called back. I would never take my pet here. Ever. read more

I have been coming here for many of years back into the 90s with my first Shih Tzu. This place is amazing they are always willing to work my dog in no matter how busy they are. I travel from Centralia to Tacoma to take my dog here when our normal groomer is booked. Even with the Covid crisis I am still able to get my dog in! Thank you Clip N Clean! * People post about dogs getting sick. Kennel cough is very contagious and a dog can have it with out showing signs and infect other dogs. It a lot of times acts just like Covid 19. We can not mask our dogs so taking them to a place with a lot of other animals is the risk you run. The kennel cough shot only vaccinates for one strain of kennel cough and like human flu there are many strains. The kennel owner can not prevent or let kennel cough into her business it just happens. All she can do is sanitize the kennels and common areas which is done on a regular basis. My dog went to a boarding facility and got kennel cough which turned into pneumonia. The vet not knowing the facility told me all these facts about kennel cough that I have just shared. read more

Took my dog Coco and my moms dog Lexus today around 11:30a on 8/20/22. They desperately needed a groom. I was apprehensive as the reviews are not that great but took the chance. The 2 ladies I met inside were very nice and asked how we wanted the dogs groomed. They told us to pick up our girls around 4. Overall, the experience and service was great. Since they wanted to delete my other post and oh yeah forgot to add when they show the back, with the cute rooms they don't put your dogs there, they lie and put them in the kennels all day! Lynette is just a money gripper ( all she wants) you're dogs are also freezing at night it goes below temperature outside to inside and they don't put no bedding or nothing to keep the animals warm, and when people bring there dogs like (clanzy and Kruzer) and she supposed to bring them home with her she never does!!! read more

My Mini-Aussies looked so cute and preppy after their grooming. I have one that is extremely people shy. I brought the dogs back for a shorter cut for Summer and Barnum, my shy one, ran right to the door, wagging his tail, which only indicates that someone was able to gain his trust. Barnum is 3.5 years old and still has stranger danger with my in-laws so the fact that he was eager to come back, was promising. The second time something happens, it's a pattern and no longer a coincidence. The last two times I've brought my dog here for grooming on a Saturday she's come home with a sloppy haircut (not that big of a deal, but needed me to clean it up.) but she picked up a cold, too. When I picked her up, she clung to me so hard I could only imagine what happened during the day to make her so scared. I almost didn't post anything but it's been a week but my little pup is sitting here curled up sounding congested with a drippy nose, and I have to warn people to avoid this place if you have any other options. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would, my brother took his sweet cat to get groomed and when they picked her up she was in her crate hissing and making other noises she's never made before. They then saw that she has bloody cuts on BOTH of her ears and she is completely traumatized because she hasn't been acting like herself since this incident. If that's not bad enough, one of the employees was extremely rude when they picked their cat up and gave horrible attitude. if you love your animals DONT step foot into this place. Not 100% sure how I feel about this place. I've taken my dog here 3 times and haven't had any major issues. She has always come back nice, clean, and nails trimmed. Some of these reviews are scary! Dogs dying, fleas, etc. I haven't had any of these issues but now need to consider those risks. The only complaint I have is as others have mentioned, check in is very informal. They really don't ask you anything about your pet, not their name, not your phone number, nothing. The last time I went to pick her up, they didn't even know which one was mine. I think they need a better intake process and I'd feel better if they asked for vaccinations too. read more

First time I took my dog there, he came back looking great. Second time, same, but infested with fleas. Third time, my dog (who is vaccinated but elderly) contracted kennel cough. I have had him for 10 years and have been taking him to a groomer every 3 months. Never in my life have I had these issues with a groomer. The only thing I attribute this to is that a) they don't require vaccination records and b) the mass quantity of dogs they have in rather small, poorly ventilated confines. The owner and staff sure are nice but I regret taking my boy there as he his health has taken a turn for the worse since contracting kennel cough. A $40 hair cut has now cost me hundreds, and as a single mom, that's huge. read more

Love their drop-in service, you don't need to make an appointment as long as you drop your pup off before noon. I love this shop. The owner is amazing and so incredibly knowledgeable. Her long time clients call her "The Dog Whisperer". I bring my boxer to her for grooming and for boarding. My boxer has extreme anxiety and this is the only place that she can stay where I get her back calm and happy from her visit. I happened to stop by and read the below review to the owner of this business. The owner of the dog in question was in active communication with Lynette during their dog's illness. In fact, the owner stated in an email to Lynette that he was NOT going to write a bad review due to Lynette's concern and active involvement in wanting to know what was going on with his dog. So why the neighbor took it in their hands to write a bad review without giving all the information is beyond me. As a proud client of this business, I'm offended that someones neighbor took the liberty to speak for another person. Rather unethical. I say meet this business owner. She's very kind, loves animals and would always step in and be concerned if any dog was ill after their visit with her. This is the ONLY kennel in Pierce County with open fenced kennels so that the dogs can be watched and protected over the night. This hotel takes in show dogs and champion breeders. It services the whole of the North Proctor district, and many military families. The bulk of this business's clientele have been with her for years. I love The Bark Plaza Hotel. I've taken my dogs to Clip and Clean for years and was glad they moved to the new location awhile ago. Still issues with parking, but not as bad. Prices are reasonable and quality is wonderful. Employees are professional and very gentle with the pets. Lynette is the owner and is extremely compassionate and loving towards the animals. I am almost always a walk in and have never had a problem with getting in. My dog is so happy when I come for her and looks fabulous. Smiles from ear to ear! The normal place I go was closed today and my dog was due for a nail trim and I happened upon this place on google. They took him back and were done within 5 minutes and I didn't realize until I got in the car that I had blood all over my shirt and even my sunglasses. When we got home I found he was bleeding from 3 OF HIS NAILS. I understand it can happen maybe once but 3?? The rest were uneven and rough like they had just taken him back and did it blindly as fast as they could. There's no way they didn't notice as I was covered in blood after holding him for a few seconds-didn't put anything on it to stop the bleeding. Had to go to the store to pick up something to stop the bleeding that went on for nearly 30 minutes. My poor baby already hates getting his nails done and now I'm sure he's scarred. read more
