We've taken our mini poodle Atlas to many grooming places and they usually shave him down due to his curly coat. He usually comes out looking like a completely different dog so I'm always hesitant to get his hair cut. After 4 months, he was overdue for a haircut so I gave Groomingbells a call to see if they could take in a last minute appointment. They happily did and we met with Christian who spent about 10 minutes with us explaining the best options for our pup. He said he would try to not shave him down, but sometimes due to the matting and the pain it could cause the dog, it's not always possible. We handed Atlas off and told him to do the best he could. Christian took him in and told us he'd be ready in about 2-3 hours. We came back and I was amazed at the puppy cut Christian was able to do! Atlas looked absolutely amazing! Christian said he was a good boy, and other than being a little nervous, he did very well. I appreciated the update and the time Christian took with my pup. I will be back and using Groomingbells for Atlas's future haircuts. I definitely recommend them! read more

I took my girl to grooming belles and had a lovely experience. Victor was very communicative and caring about my girl. I only wish I could have seen more of the grooming process. I felt like I was sending my girl off into an unknown lol. The front of the store was pretty empty. It looks like they may do doggy day care there. Grooming in general has become a bit pricey but Grooming Belles was well worth it because of their end results. read more

Victor was amazing with our dog. He explained the whole process (ears, paws and nail trim,bath and teeth) and was attentive to what we told him. Our dog is a large mixed breed dog and can be a little skittish around other dogs. So we were a little concerned. He also realized she sheds a lot. He handled everything professionally. He sent me a picture and short video of her all soaped up and smiling so we could see she was doing fine and let us know when it was time for pick up. I was nervous about getting my golden, Titi, groomed after a few experiences in a row where she was hurt at other groomers. Groomingbells delivered! They did a fantastic job with my Shih Tzu. I wanted a shorter, puppy cut on his face, and Cristian listened and made sure I was happy with the cut at pick up. Clean waiting area, and it is a convenient location with a huge municipal parking lot on Davison Ave, across the street from the rear entrance. When my girlfriend drops off our 10 month old Yorkie and requests a puppy cut and a "boxy" face trim (she showed pictures of what she wanted) and he is picked up looking like a Chihuahua are you suppose to be happy? I was able to get my pup a same day appointment and was a little nervous based on some of the negative reviews. Then Victor called me to let he know he had to shave my pups ears because the fur was matted so I was even more nervous to see her haircut. We usually NY Puppy club who charges $100.00 less for the same hair cut. We get our dog shaved every summer. Also, he missed an entire section on the back of her legs. This is one of the best groomers I have ever used. Victor is so personable and made us feel at home right away. My dog was wagging her tail from the moment she walked in the door. I have seen the bad reviews on here about Groomingbells and though I am sympathetic as a dog owner and lover, I cannot see how the groomers have caused the sicknesses that were mentioned. However, we are all entitled to our own opinions and I have felt the need to voice mine. I have been a very happy customer of Groomingbell's for about 5 years. My dog had been going to another grooming service previously and I believed he had either been hit and/or drugged during the service. His normally friendly demeanor was somewhat fearful and he was also very drowsy afterwards and so we came to Groomingbell's. Since going to Groomingbell's, they have always done his cut perfectly (they keep the style that you like on an index card and make sure to get it right every time - I like their filing system). My dog also loves Victor - the owner. He always appears very happy and playful upon coming back and remains in good spirits as though he was well taken care of the whole time. I am very picky about taking my dog anywhere, and he's so happy with Victor that I have even gone away and paid Victor to watch him over the weekends - he never comes back with any scratches and Victor updates me via text (sms and videos) to show how happy he is - who else does that for a reasonable price? I take one a star off because I kind of freaked out the first time that I left him with Victor and I couldn't find him when I went to pick him up - but that was for about 15 minutes, he was just late. Since then he has kept me up to date so that I am ok. He works in a timely fashion and has remained as my one and only groomer for my dog. I appreciate that when he says one hour, he calls and returns my dog in one hour - if you want to leave your dog somewhere to air dry or sit in a cage, this is not the place and that is not the responsibility of a grooming service.
