Koko has been coming here since she came into our family 5 yrs ago. We have two kids and Koko is our 3rd other child. We trust her instincts. We are the type of dog family, if Koko don't like you neither do we. She always is excited to go in. Everytime we pick her up she jumps for joy and has a huge smile and struts her clean self all around. She literally spins around in the front to show us how good she looks. We have never had an issue or complaint about Groomingdales. In the past when I had questions about dog care, or needed dog mom advice or facts even specifically for her breed they have always answered my questions and guided me in the right direction. Everything they have told me our vets have agreed with.

We brought our dog here and she looks great. The groomer explained everything and offered their expertise on grooming. For example, she explained why shaving under the ears of a cocker spaniel is important to avoid infections. Our dog was super happy when we picked her up.

They gave him a wash. Paw cut and face trim. She was very nice but the feet were so unevenly cut. Will give them another try.

Love coming here so friendly and accommodating I think our dogs loves coming too ! Lol we get groomed by Veronica on the weekends she is so amazing an attentive to our ever changing needs and concerns. Weather it be anal glands or fleas. In speaking with her she has an extensive knowledge on dogs. And always goes the extra mile literally! Lol she walked our dog on his first visit because he was anxious! I am just now seeing the response back from this company. I was not informed of my dog having a hotspot. I actually called this company and told them I was unsatisfied with the way they were treating my dog. The owner or whoever it was I was speaking with was rude to me. They denied my claims they told me they didn't know anything about it, they really couldn't even remember my dog at all and when I asked the woman about what was on his skin they completely disregarded what I said. My dog is a very calm dog, he is not aggressive or animated. He was cut not once but 2 to 3 times while being groomed in this establishment. I no longer take me dog there because he is AFRAID of the place. I say again AFRAID! Every time after the first visit he literally pooped in front of the place because he was scared to go inside, he would stop in his tracks and try to run away. We used to have to pick him up and walk him inside to get groomed. I must admit that I was in denial the first time this happened but after taking my dog here multiple times and having him come back to my place bleeding hours later is unacceptable. Don't take your animals here, it's not a safe environment, it smells weird. If you care about your animals at all don't take them to this establishment.

Gratitude Shout Out to Groomingdales!!! I'm currently fostering a senior pup for a friend while we try to rehome him. His furmama has dimensia/Alzheimer's and can no longer care for him. I just wanted to share my gratitude to Krisma and Groomingdales for making this dog so happy! His change in spirit after his day at the spa is amazing! It's like he's a puppy again. They always do such a great job with my rescue, but to see the dramatic transformation of Kennedy, the poodle, who had been quite neglected over the past year since CoVid and his mom's downturn is truly gratifying! He was an absolute mess, but came out of there like a brand new dog! They are the best!!! Thank you Krisma and the Groomingdales staff! The before and after photos speak louder than words.

I've known the business owner for a while, she's always been very good with animals. She's always had smalls dogs big dogs. I recently got myself Doberman and I took my dog to Groomingdales and I had the best experienced and my dog loved it !

Krisma, LEGENED. Took my 80lb English Bulldog there for a bath. She took him him made sure he felt comfortable in this new environment and took him on all by herself while taking care of other dogs. We loved how she interacted with Bubz my big old puppy dog, and decided to take in our beagle chihuahua mix who is terrified of other dogs. Krisma handled her perfectly and thoughtfully. When we returned Bubz was so happy and Abbi was so happy as well they came back with a bandana looks adorable

We love bringing our pug Nike here ! They do such a wonderful job grooming him. Carisma and her staff are so sweet and kind ! 10/10 recommend to bring your dog or any animal!

Vero is the best! I was really embarrassed to take my dogs to the groomers because they were extremely dirty and their nails were really long but I knew they were long overdue. Vero was great, she had no judgement whatsoever, gave me some great tips on what food to use for my pups to have the healthiest skin and hair. My white dog looked grey and brown, now she has brilliant white fur, you'd think it was bleached. I would definitely recommend you give Vero a try. My dogs never looked or smelled so good. (:

I was pet sitting for a family member who asked me to take their doodle to get groomed. The groomer was super friendly and very sweet towards all the dogs that I've seen her interact with. I dropped off the pooch and when I came back for the pickup, the groomer had a lot of tips for me to write down in order to help the dog's health and overall quality of life. It's worth traveling cities away to bring your dog here. Helga never looked so good and all her hair was finally free of knots. read more

The groomer was super loving and attentive to our dog. I arrived early for pick up so watched from across the street through the window. I saw her talking to our Great Pyrenees puppy and kissing the top of his head. He had never been groomed before, so he was pretty nervous. He looked beautiful after his groom and I know he was in safe hands. read more

Super big thanks to Krisma from Groomingdale's. We recently adopted a 35lb 4 mos. old puppy shepherd (named Kona). We took him in for the 1st time to Groomingdale's for a bath and some pampering. Krisma was very nice, professional, and attentive. She explained everything clearly and was very patience with us. She made Kona feel relaxed. I will be back in a few weeks. I am just now seeing the response back from this company. I was not informed of my dog having a hotspot. Don't bring a rabbit here. This woman claims bunnies should be bathed. Everyone knows bunnies shouldn't be bathed as they can go into shock or hypothermia. A simple google search could even tell you that. She claims she has experience with rabbits but wouldn't tell me which comb she uses for bunnies either. She also said bunnies live in cages and pee on themselves! No, rabbits dont belong in cages and can be litter box trained! Seems she has very outdated views of rabbits. Edit: Now she claims I harassed her staff? No--Asking basic questions before deciding on services is not harassing. What a looney. read more

My fur babies love coming here! I have a husky and tea cup chihuahua and they used to be terrified of the Grommers but they love it here! Shout out to Vero, she makes them feel comfortable and welcomed! She's the best! I feel at ease knowing they're in good hands! The plus part on this particular location, is that you can actually see your dog being groomed which is always a plus in my eyes. Thank you Groomingdales for taking care of my babies! read more

My dog was injured here during a grooming visit, as soon as I realized, I returned to inquire if there had been an accident. Before the woman, who was nice and tried to help, could finish her sentence, the man, suddenly, rudely, and aggressively barged into the conversation like a lunatic stating he has security cameras, lawyers, etc. I was completely taken aback and disgusted by his poor handling of the situation. I walked out and never returned. Such a shame. I would have never left this review, but he must be called out on his shameful behavior. My dog is fine now, but they lost me as a customer, they lost my friends and family referrals, and they gained this bad review. Think before you act next time, a little empathy goes a long way. read more

Tried Krisma for the first time with Jake my Bichon and he looked absolutely delicious. She was gentle and friendly and I could tell Jake liked her too. Perfect Bichon cut in every way. Now I'm bringing my other dog Chuy next week and we couldn't be happier. Thanks again Krisma read more

Took my 7 month old kitten here to get her nails clipped and the girl working was AH-MAZING! I sadly didn't catch her name, but she has gorgeous blue hair and a ton of patience. My kitten is not mean by any means, but she is young and does not care to have her nails clipped. But she got them all done with no incident or issue. I will absolutely bring her back as needed and have also told my fellow cat moms about this spot. So worth the $ and no stress. read more

One of the best grooming spots in Glendale! I bring my dogs and cat here every time they are due for their grooming. The girl there really takes good care of my pets and I always see other customers leaving very happy and their pets looking good! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great groomer. read more

I had a great experience at groomingdales. My 2 dogs usually get nervous with strangers grooming them, but the groomer at groomingdales was great with my doggies, they loved her. She was very professional. They looked so cute with their new haircuts. Thank you, I have found our new spot. definitely recommending to my friends that have dogs, or cats. read more

This place did a fine job on our cat's haircut but if they tell you that your pet is crawling with fleas and you should get them to give your pet a flea bath, they're lying and trying to up-sell you. read more

I love this place. The staff is friendly, and they always do good work on my pups. Prices are reasonable. I have a shih tzu, and a terroir and usually pay $46 for the cut. They brush their teeth and trim the nails too. They never keep them for too long. I don't have any before and after photos. I'll have to post some the next time I take them in. Amazing and friendly place for dogs and best grooming. I have taken my dog to groomers all over the town. The minute my dog would see the grooming store he would stop turn around and head back or stay still and I have to pull him. I found this place because of my wife and her friend recommended it. I have taken my dog to different places and I am not going to lie my dog is not an easy dog. Other places left him burns from clippers or cuts, and I know he is difficult. Everything changed once I took him to this groomer. Owner is a nice young woman who was so friend to my dog. She gave him treats and pet him and for 30 Minutes they bonded. She told me not to worry and she will call me once they where finished. In few hours I went to pick my dog up and I was shocked, not because of something bad or terrible. I was amazed how happy and joyful he was , almost like he didn't want to go. I would recommend this grooming place to every one it's affordable and have a great service for pets. They have so much love for what they do. I love it and still referring and taking my dog to them ever since. read more

So happy I came here today! Pluto got groomed in about 50 minutes for 50 bucks , including oatmeal shampoo and teeth brushing! He looks and smells great and feels so soft. The gentleman and two ladies working were extremely nice and polite and I could just tell they were so loving to the animals. I definitely will be back! read more

This review is in regards to DAYCARE + GROOMING…read more How serendipitous that this building was where we trained our puppy! K9 Logic used to be here before Puppy Island. Zuko loves coming here - when we say "do you want to go to DAYCARE?" he gets so excited. Things that we like: - walking distance from us! - competitive pricing - in addition to daycare, you can get your dog groomed (very convenient) - I like that I can text to let them know we're coming to drop off/pick up, and also to see if there are grooming appointments available - we get a few photos - convenient hours on the weekdays Things that could use some improvement: - I wish that the hours on Saturday were longer and that they were open on Sunday - I wish there was a little more structure and mental stimulation activities- sometimes these kind of daycare environments can be a bit much. We lived in New Orleans for 3 months while my partner was working and the daycare we used had a great structure that included nap / alone time in the middle of the day. - I wish there were pricing bundles for daycare + grooming or some kind of spa bundles that helped made the pricing discounted Overall, we've had a good experience and love bringing him back.

Overall, I got bad vibes from that place, so I settled with bathing her at home for a few months until her grooming needs outgrew what a regular bath could give her. Given that she is pretty timid around people she doesn't know, and doesn't like other dogs I was a little nervous about finding a new place for her. I found Pooch Pawlor Spa on yelp and after chatting on the phone about Bowie's temperament, I was reassured they'd be able to care for her. I made an appointment for the following day. Upon walking in, Pooch Pawlor Spa is clean and smells great, a solid start! They took Bowie pretty immediately and within only an hour she was ready to be picked up. She looks and smells amazing! The cost was on par with other groomers, but the quality of service far surpasses other groomers I've experienced. A huge thank you to the team at Pooch Pawlor Spa for taking care of my skittish girl. I'm so happy to have a new groomer for Bowie that I can count on.

We have used Andy's in Eagle Rock to have Emi's nails trimmed and wanted to try for grooming. The glendale location is the only store open on Sundays so we booked an appointment first thing. We arrived and our dog made conversation with others (dogs) while we filled out her paper work and left her. They told us around 11-12pm and yup right at 12pm we got a call she was ready. We let her grow her coat out a bit for winter but with her poodle-briche frise coat she tends to mat no matter how much I comb her out she'll just turn around and get it all tangled up again, Emi is very much a toddler. They told us she would have to go very clean, I mean very. I was not expecting near bald and that we where charged double the cost of $70ish dollars. We also noticed she had 4 nixs on her which of course upset me but no blood was drawn and she didn't seem to be in pain. My husband and I have decided to go again once her coat is longer and if there's no problems in our pockets or Emi we will make the switch.

Although their service might be okay, they are no where near qualified to do any grooming. My mom brought my Maltese here because I was busy and she had seem them while passing by and thought it looked like a nice place. It's apparently new. They had no customers and only a few dogs that day. They told her Spikey would be ready in a bit. Uhm excuse me what? All I wanted was his hair to be trimmed a bit, his nails be cut, anal glands expressed and ears cleaned. Whatever, my mom didn't give much thought to it and decided to hang around in the area. After about an hour my mom called to see when my baby boy would be ready. They said they hadn't started yet and would give us a call back shortly. My mom always takes my dog to our regular groomers in studio city when I'm busy but since she was in Glendale, decided to try something new. That's never happening again! So another hour passes still no call, my mom calls and they said that he would be ready in an hour. My mom is typically a very patient lady but at this point I was furious and called them myself. "Another 30 minutes and he's all done" she said. Lol are you kidding me? Over 3 hours and he'll barely be done in 30 minutes? What were you guys doing the whole time? You only had a couple dogs in when my mom dropped him off. But wait, it gets better. She finally picks him up and calls me immediately. Spike was apparently shaking and looked very peculiar. I told her he might've been a bit scared because it was a new place and he had never ever been away at a grooming place for that long, never. I assured her he would be fine once he was home. My mom and Spike come in and I immediately notice he isn't being himself. I pick him up and he screeched so loud I almost dropped him. He began growling at me when I got closer. Now this was not normal behavior what so ever. I take a closer look and see that he's bleeding around his you know what. For a second, I didn't want to believe it but took another look and realized that these horrible people have wounded my poor baby and failed to mention this to me or my mom upon pick up. I called them and some lady picked up, I felt bad because she was a sweet girl but I had never been angry. Imagine taking your child to the doctor and having your child come out worse than before, or with a gashing wound on their leg, even worse around their you know what! Ugh, the horror. I got too much into detail. I asked her why they hadn't informed me and all she did was apologize. This place should not hide what they do. If you hurt my dog DO NOT try to cover it up, instead tell me so that way I'm not scared to death and I know how to handle the situation. Never going here again. This is not the way to do business, not the way to treat dogs but definitely the right way to lose customers. Oh and I'm quite sure those two reviews posted on here are not even legitimate. But who knows. Please stay away and only take your animals somewhere where they actually CARE about them and not just about your money. read more

I'd gone to places like PetCo to have my Westie groomed and was overcharged for a sub par job, uneven cuts, just very messy, so if you are looking for some luxury pet spa, with rose hips sprayed into the air for effect, maybe go elsewhere. But, if you are looking for a good groomer, who does a great job, a perfect Westie cut in my case, for a very fair price, actually cheaper than the big box stores, then this is your place. The woman who did my Westie was great and clearly has been an animal person for many years. Animals can sense this and it makes for the best experience for them. I will be going back again and again. PEOPLE REMEMBER IF OUR DOG'S HAS FLEAS WE DON'T HAVE TO BLAME THE GROOMERS SALON!!!!! THAT'S MEANS WE ALSO HAVE A FLEA INFECTATION IN OUR HOUSE!!!! AND WE NEED TAKE ACTION ON THAT PART. I have two large German Shepherds that shed a lot of hair! If they're not groomed regularly it gets out of control quickly. I travel a lot for work, and often bring my dogs with on the road. As such it's imperative that they're groomed properly to minimize pet hair from going everywhere. There's no groomer I trust more in Los Angeles County, or in general for that matter. The staff is extremely professional, and they ask questions to ensure you're happy with the results. So far I haven't had anything to complain about, and as I mentioned it makes all the difference when the dogs are properly groomed. I really like how open the storefront is, everything is facilitated upfront, without worrying about what goes on behind closed doors. Whenever I'm in the area, I make sure to bring my dogs to Groomingdales. The customer service and attention to detail are second to none. The staff is very friendly and polite, much more personable than my experiences at large chain store groomers. The pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to other groomers in the area. They go above-and-beyond, without breaking the bank. As others have pointed out, the shop is very open, so you can rest assured that your pets are in great hands. I can often schedule the appointment for the same-day, and they're very quick. You can tell they have a passion for animals, and the work is spectacular. I've used a number of other groomers in the area, and this is the only one where my dogs walk willingly through the door. They are as cheap as any others and yet have much better service. Granted we just use them to keep our old mutts clean and healthy, not for show or anything, but that our dogs like going is a the most powerful recommendation from the ones who have the most to lose or gain. read more

I brought my parakeet in to have his nails trimmed, and she cut his foot and now his foot is all swollen. I am going to have to put him down now. He is too uncomfortable. The staff knows nothing about birds. The main girl who works here didn't even know what a parakeet was when I said the word. Avoid this place. read more
