LIES. POOR COMMUNICATION. AND BAD SERVICE. Communications. You'd think that communication is key to every business. Communications with the service department, sales department, finance department, AND to the customers. New Customers, Current Customers, and EVEN PAST Customers. I needed to cancel the GAP that I had on the truck (I traded it in, not enough truck for what I needed) I purchased from the fine business establishment. You would think it would be an easy transaction. I spoke to a professional the finance department who emailed me the cancellation form and instructed me to obtain the bank statement saying that the truck has been fully paid off. Once I obtained the documents needed, I quickly faxed the documents over to Munday Chevrolet to their finance department. In the fax cover sheet I requested a called back so I know they have received the fax. I waited 30 min, no call from the car dealership. I took matters in my hand I called the dealership thinking I would talk to someone. No one answered, it went straight to voicemail. Lets call this voicemail number 1. I am feeling confident that a establishment like this would call me back the next day. The next day, no one called me back. Rationally I suspected "hey maybe they need some time to document it" the next day arrived and no call from the dealership. I started to worry and called the dealership, and again, no one answered went straight to a voicemail, I called the dealership again and told the operator I needed to talk to someone in the finance dept. and again the call went to a voicemail. So I left a message and hoped someone would call me back (voicemail #2). You maybe wondering "Why don't you drive to the dealership and handle this in person?" the answer is that I moved from the Houston area to north of Denver so I am 15hr and 51 min away from the dealership if I drove. So I have to handle this over the phone, fax and email. ANYHOO, so I am eagerly waiting and waiting and waiting for a call back. The next day, during my lunch break I called the dealership AND YES! it went to a voicemail...... I know right? unbelievable.... (Voicemail #3) the same thing happened the next day (Voicemail #4). There was two days I was busy and could not call. OH THATS RIGHT after 4 voicemails I have not received a call back on a cancelation of GAP. To put it in perspective it was roughly $800 I was trying to obtain back so you can understand why I was eager to finish this process. This time I've HAD IT!!!!! I call the receptionist and I said "Please connect me to Finance Department GM" I knew I was going to get someone to answer, I mean IT'S THE GM over the Finance Dept! you know what?! HE DIDN'T ANSWER! whelp! I left a scathing voicemail explaining the whole situation ^^^^^ above. But here's the thing! HE ACTUALLY CALLED ME BACK!!! THE SAME DAY!!!!!!! I was blown away, I was actually talking to someone in the finance dept. He was great and he was willing to help me out. He told me to take a photo of the documents and email them to the dealership. He told me to hang tight and he will fix this situation. I soon got a call from Karl Erazo. He explained to me that the fax machine was broken blah blah blah YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!! a Establishment THAT SIZE have their fax machine broken and not fixed?! no way, no way, no way....... ANYWAYS I emailed the documents again and then (I have all the emails documented btw) Karl emailed me back asking "When did you fill out the cancellation form?" I responded "It's dated right by my signature" (easily seen by the photo I sent them) I then sent a email expressing my frustration. Karl Then responded "I am sorry but I can't see an attachment with your cancellation for me to know when you sent it." I then replied "Please call me and explain. I sent the page you sent me by email and the Bank of America statement. These are the two that you requested." and sent the documents AGAIN. I then sent another email stating "If you have complications on the emails I will need you to call me. This is getting out of hand and ridiculous. What information do you need?? A simple phone call would be best." Then............ out of the blue! A finance personnel called me. And asked me my information. GUESS WHAT HE SAID! "Oh! we already processed your information." I asked "When??" He said "When we received your fax" I then came unglued..... I stressed the value of COMMUNICATIONS. If they would have given me a call when they got the fax the first FREAKING TIME. This would not have been an issue..... THE FACT YOU WOULD LIE ABOUT YOUR FAX MACHINE IS BROKEN!? AAAANNNDD THEN CALL ME AND TELL ME THE PAPERWORK IS TAKEN CARE OF?!?! WHEN I FAXED IT THE FIRST TIME?! I took my car to this place for the first time and what a horrible experience. There is a line for all 3 lanes which allows you to get your car serviced. I asked 3 different service workers if my lane was closed being only the 2nd and 3rd lane was being serviced. They all responded with "I'm going with what I'm being told." I decided to speak to the manager Mike Mayeux who wasn't really bothered by my concerns and request to talk to someone. He gave me 2 false numbers. My total wait time was 85 mins despite my concerns that 6 cars from both lanes had been serviced and no one has come to my lane. I asked them if the lane was closed as well. Everyone I spoke to said no. I also want to point out that I had an appointment so that couldn't be an excuse being I showed them my email for confirmation....While Chevrolet has good cars their service sucks!! This is my last time buying a Chevy. There was also customers behind me that was extremely upset and left. Had my engine light not been on I would've as well. The only good thing about this is Mr. Mike did a knowledgeable my concerns when others in the line had the same complaints. He pulled a service person to help me then. I felt ignored and bc I'm a female I wasn't a priority. It took others to complain for the staff to care. When picking a car manufacturer please review the companies service. It makes a difference and can negatively affect you being the horrible service can cause you to delay minor care maintenances like an oil change. Thus, later causing issues with your car. read more

Customer service has really went down hill since having new ownership. I had a scheduled oil change today at 9:30 so I had my wife go there at 8:45 and no one even helped her until 9:15 which is understandable. But it took 3 1/2 hours to do and then they parked her car and never called her name to tell her she was ready mean while she asked the service guy Robin every hour what the status was. Even after telling him we will never come back he seemed to care less. We bought a LTZ Tahoe in 2015 and a Premier Tahoe in 2017 and planned on getting a new one soon unfortunately it will not be from here. We live out past Tomball and always came over to this dealership because of how great the service after the sale was. Rating is for Service Department: Dealership presented me with a "proposal" for service work totaling $1,829.49 by service manager Andrea Coleman. My car only had 57,000 miles so I asked for a 60,000 mile "courtesy" inspection. The items that were identified by the Munday Service Department Technician to be "caution" status on the report that I was given was bogus. The technician identified that the air duct to T body duct in y engine was "cracked" but no such crack existed prior to my bringing in my vehicle. Technician also indicated that my car battery needed to be replaced when in fact I had already had that completed @ 44,000 miles. Tech also stated that my vehicles power control module needed to be replaced. Nice try Munday Chevrolet, however your attempts to have unnecessary maintenance work completed on my vehicle to sell me parts and labor was unethical and shady! I WILL NEVER set foot in this dealership again! I took my car to John Kraft Chevrolet in downtown Houston the next day and they performed the very same inspection and only found that my oil needed to be changed (which I was going to have done anyway). Awful service. Had an appointment set up to meet with Devin on Friday evening and it took a while to even meet him. He gave me the runaround, was non-existent on Saturday morning when my husband was trying to get in contact with him, emailed me to ask if I wanted to test drive the Traverse I had in mind and when I asked him for a trade-in value for my car, he promptly emailed back and said the car I was interested in had "sold". Had a good amount of issues that needed to be checked on with my GM vehicle which is a 2009 Saturn sky, went through Tim Schultz in the service department and was helped thoroughly, professionally and extremely kind! He worked with my warranty company on any issue they found to maximize my warranties use, saving us a lot of money, he kept in touch through the whole process and when he couldn't he left in depth voicemails. Munday Chevrolet worked with us with a rental car the entire time my vehicle was in the shop so there was no downtime for my job or school. I was there for over 3hours for a battery change and test. I had an appointment for 1and didn't leave til something. Also I purchased my battery through the dealership in aug 2015 and had to still pay 50$ for them to change the battery and test it when it is supposed to have a 6year warranty it was a 200$ battery, I shouldn't of had to pay another 50$ for a battery that was supposed to last 6years and didn't even last a full 2years.so I have now spent 250$ on a battery that's ridiculous. I learned my lesson not to use the dealership for maintenance things because even with appointments it takes 3hours for the smallest task I even asked if I could change the battery out myself and was told no. This morning I had an appointment for 7 AM. My service advisor John arrive promptly at 7 AM to check my car in. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. He gave me an estimated time that the diagnostic would be completed and he was very accurate with the time.John secured me a A loaner car while they work on my car. He text and email me once the diagnostic was done to make sure I was OK with the work I needed to be performed. He even found a recall and hate that were completed as well. After they finish working on my car they did an awesome job with cleaning it and it's turning like it was burning. BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISING AND HIGH PRESSURE SALES! So disappointed at the bait and switch tactics! For sure won't be referring any business here, or buying anymore cars from this dealership. The car we were looking to trade in for was 16k advertised on sale, and because we were adamant that we wouldn't finance through GMC, the agent said the car would be close to $30,000! It's not even worth close to that by the Kelly Blue Book standards, and then he had the gall to insist they were the cheapest in town and I wouldn't find a better deal. I beg your pardon? And on top of that, the sale price can only be obtained if I happened to have various pieces of junk mail fliers, plus in-house financing and other stipulations that weren't even visibly on the mobile site! Who keeps their junk mail?! Zero interest in even negotiating a deal, just taking the MSRP and marking it way up because we wouldn't cave into strong-arm, high-pressure sales tactics. Not a single discount, not even a *veteran's* discount. Just a take it or leave it attitude. Once second you think everything is great your vehicle is in good shape based on the first test drive, carfax, visually, and of word of mouth. Vehicle goes into "service" before you can drive off with it since this or that was caught by the salesman and when you get it back and drive off the lot it doesn't drive the way it did before. Take it back & Get a "diagnosis" in their service department and it says it's likely the transmission. But you're responsible for it since you paid cash and had it in your possession for a mire 45 minutes & they had it longer that you ever did since papers were signed. Then talked down upon and told you're creating drama. WORST EXPERIENCE. This was my first car in my name and they ruined that for me. My experience with Munday Chevrolet was definitely a great one. I went to them for a few underlining issues that I had been having with my vehicle around the time Harvey hit. Needless to say, Alvin the manager went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was nothing less than amazing. He reassured me that all would me taken care of in a timely manor, and it was. I bought my current car from them so going to them for maintenance and repair on it only made sense knowing that they would repair it to factory standards, unlike non-Chevy competitors. Went in thinking I was going to get the help I needed, bought a truck at full price, was told everything was good on it, but not even a week with the truck I started having issues took it back to get it fixed but wasn't fixed right and had to take it back a second time. Also my passenger door wouldn't unlock from the outside and my third break light went out and was charged full price even tho I'm paying warranty on my vehicle. Was also told my camber was off & that's why my truck has been vibrating and waisting my tire tread unevenly, "(but the truck was in A1 condition)" the labor cost was ridiculously high for the work that should of been taken care of before putting on the display, I also think that it shouldn't had been charge that high while paying for warranty on it. (Asim khan) was my Advicer and lied about my total price over the phone and when I got there it was a higher price, also argued with me on why I brought in my truck weeks later not knowing that my schedule has been tight and didn't have time to take it in sooner. I did ended up paying my bill but I would've leave a better review but this is how I feel and think customers deserve a honest quote and answers also not charge for diagnose knowing the problem , but yet up charging customers for it. I can't respect sterling having those type of workers who only work for their paychecks and forget that the customers convenience is the goal and should be treated with the respect that we deserve.I might be over exaggerating but it is what it is , I do want to give a shout out to the finance department and the workers who receive us when we arrive. I went to buy my third SUV from Munday, since the new management team, it's kind of like the old LandMark Chevrolet. (LandShark). The professionlism wasn't there at all. I was trading in a Audi A6 for a Tahoe. They came back with one offer and when I said no, and countered their offer they came back and handed me my keys. They said it was a NO DEAL. I am writing because I want everyone to know what bad service and experience I had with Munday Chevrolet's Service center. Although I didn't purchase my vehicle from that location, I always took my vehicle there for service, I was pleased with the service, until I took my vehicle there for water damage after hurricane Harvey, I understood there was going to be a wait since, most of Houston was flooded. My vehicle was there approximately 2 weeks, and when I went to pick up my vehicle , it was damaged in their possession and I have made complaints, talk with different managers to get them to fix it, and they haven't done it, they don't live up to their word as they claim, I called at least 3 times a week for 6 months, and was still getting the run around. My vehicle didn't have the damage there until before, I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with them, they blamed me for the damage, want me to pay for something they did, never got the issued resolved, not even an I'm sorry, apology, nothing,that's not good business. It seems they want short term money instead of long term satisfied customers............. I even filed a complaint with their corporate office, and nothing. I will never recommend no one or buy a vehicle from them. Poor business!!!!!! read more

Even after he denied vehemently about receiving it - and after I even forwarded a copy of the original email - I was told that new ownership constituted no warranties prior to the transition were to be honored. Disgusting tactic to say the least. My advice to anyone - keep concise copies of any and all paperwork and take it to the next level if you have to. Even then, I won't be surprised if you're met with resistance - I was. Ironically, they will try to push their research out past your warranty period so as to have a no bonafide excuse to not cover something.... Wow. I've never given any business 1 star, but this has truly been quite the experience. I was in town for thanksgiving visiting friends, when one had vehicle issues. There were sparks coming from the steering column, which is obviously cause for concern! The call was made to the service department immediately and an appointment made for 0915, the day after the call made. I followed her to the dealership, explosion free, where she explained the issue and dropped the keys off with the service technicians, fully expecting a call back on the results of the computer diagnostic within a reasonable amount of time. We began making calls to check the status around 1pm, because I needed to get on the road to return home, which is states away. Her first call was passed to several different people and ultimately ended up with a voicemail. Nobody called back after 45 minutes, so another call was made. This time she spoke to a human, Joe, but was told her vehicle hadn't even been looked at. Remember, this was a simple diagnostic that was needed at this point. No repairs were expected since the diagnosis wasn't made yet. It takes a couple of minutes to get codes off the computer and they'd had the vehicle going 5+ hours past the appointment time. Then when her boyfriend got on the phone and asked what the timeline for the car to simply be seen was. Whomever he spoke to called him rude, but he never once cursed or called any names, he was asking why the car hadn't been seen and how many cars had appointments prior to ours and the technician wouldn't be straight with him and ended up putting his manager, Lance on the phone, who also couldn't answer why the car hadn't even be looked at and said no to a comp car so they could get to work the next day. Lance said it was against company policy and gave no timeline in when the diagnostic would be ran and actually hung up on her boyfriend! He called back a few minutes later and by that time we had all had enough of the poor customer service. I had to take her to get her car, still extremely unsafe to drive, and follow her home again. I wasn't able to leave for home and had to push my schedule over another day, her car is still a death trap on wheels, and not a single apology was given for the whole thing. She told me it was still available and shed hold it for me. When I arrived and asked for her, the sales guy was sketch and didn't want to call her. He was trying to take her sale. I left because he wouldn't get her and said she had left and ignored me when I asked to see the car. I called back and she answered the phone. She then said the car was still there. This morning I called again and they had sold it 2 days prior. Sad that this company has rude sales people and that they don't know there own inventory. The first part of this review is for Sales Dept- buying a truck and Second part for Service Dept. - Oil change Sales Department: 5 STARS - I ordered a new 2015 Colorado truck from the internet Salesman, Ryan. He was polite, professional, and went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. My current suv died before my truck was delivered and Ryan went to bat for me. He got me the use of a loaner car until my truck arrived from factory. A great experience with a classy salesman. Service Department: 0 STARS -Nov'15 I took my 2015 Colorado to the Service Department to get complimentary oil change. I waited for two hours and found out they finished the oil change much earlier, but did not show it finished on the computer. -Feb'16 I took my Colorado again to get a complimentary oil change. FIVE HOURS - I checked with Advisers and Cashiers office multiple times only to be told my truck wasn't ready. Nobody bothered going back to the Service Bay to check, WHY? A service tech hung the keys and paperwork back on hook after oil change instead of turning in paperwork and keys to cashiers office. I called Service Manager & left voicemail. Then sent long e-mail. That got attention! My salesman forwarded the e-mail to two different managers and both of them called me the day of the service. They both apologized and offered me two free oil changes. They said they are trying to turn it around. I hope they are making a real effort to improve their customer service... I'll see! 5/29/16 UPDATE !!! Don't Do It!!!!! Don't step onto the car lot. These people don't care if you are satisfied in any way. They are totally incompetent! After phone calls, e-mail and receiving several fliers in the mail about complementary oil change I got on the mundaychevrolethouston website to schedule a service appointment. The site was not functional and I could not scheduled an appointment for an oil change. I opened the Contact Us tab and described how the website was not working. Today I got an e-mail, supposedly, from Doug Surbrook, Internet Director. However, the e-mail makes no sense. First sentence sounds like the e-mail is from Doug Surbrook, but the following sentence sounds like it is from some other person. Also, the e-mail does not address my concerns about the website not working, and it is still not working as I write this, or not able to schedule an appointment. E-mail below, "Dear Allen, I am the Internet Director with Munday Chevrolet. I just wanted to touch base with you and make sure that Douglas Surbrook has answered all of your questions and you did receive the information you need to make a decision. I bought a 2018 silverado in 2017, went for my two free oil change and I was out in a little over an hour. Ever since the new name, service has gone downhill. Now I have to wait over 3 hours for simple services. Before they used to push you to select excellent service on the post service survey, and now, the associates don't even care about that. I shouldn't be chasing my service representative for updates on my vehicle status. I really hope they can better their service. read more

Car buying process went well. Although, the salesman seems to be unavailable to questions now that he has made the sale. Service department could use a major overhaul! They charged me $85 to test my battery (which was tested at BMW FOR FREE the day before and tested as good). My car has a misfire and didn't start last Sunday. Mind you, I've had the vehicle less than 60 days. No one ever told me about this fee, but I went to pay it anyways. They said they could do a full diagnosis for an additional $160 after I replaced my battery. I approached the cashier Mary Aleman and this is where everything completely tanked. I have never seen such a rude and unprofessional person before. I don't know if it was because it was close to closing time or what, but she was rude from the get-go. I waited in line. When it was finally my turn she turned and looked in my direction without saying a single word. She stared at me for a good 10-15 seconds with a stare that said, "Ummmmm yes?" I finally walked up to her and told her I was here to pick up my vehicle. She asked my for my name and began looking for my file. She turned to the girl next to her and began complaining that people keep coming and she's ready to go home. They began trash talking another customer as I stood there listening to them. They said his name, his vehicle, and expressed their dissatisfaction with him. When I finally paid, I was handed a receipt. Not a single word was said to me after I told her my name. She reached out to give me my key, without even looking at me. As I was walking away I heard her talking negatively about the porters. Mary left a very sour taste in my mouth. I hope that this information helps some one who is in the market for a vehicle and considering this dealership. I apologize beforehand for the long detail of my experience. I also hope that this information is analyzed by the owners and management at Sterling McCall and recognize the need for training and better customer service. I purchased two vehicles from this dealer previously, and decided to go back based on the amazing experience I had had. This time around was not so pleasant. It was actually a nightmare! I reached out to the dealer online and was contacted by Mrs. Celia Nipher. Over the phone, I explained to her what I was looking for and my budget. She assured me that she could work with what I was looking for and suggest coming in. She stated she would have a lineup ready for me to see once I was at the dealer. I went ahead and set up an appointment with Mrs. Nipher. To be fair, on the day of the appointment I arrived several hours outside of my appointment. I took the proper measures to notify her beforehand and apologized for the inconvenience. She did not suggest rescheduling or coming in at a different time, she simply said "OK". When I did come in, her supervisor sent another gentleman to help as she was with another customer. This other gentleman was quite helpful but Mrs. Cipher insisted on being the one to help me. She sent the other gentleman away in a quite unprofessional manner. She then proceeded to give me a form that looked like credit application and stated that she needed this information to better help. I did not think she would be running my credit before considering any vehicles. I should have known better than to fill out paperwork up front. We waited for about 30 minutes in an office with no follow up. I asked her what was taking so long, to which she said her manager had not given her the green light on the credit. She ran my credit without first showing me any vehicles. I was bothered and questioned why this had taken place. She apologized and stated that this would not drastically impact my credit score. I have a great credit score and have worked hard to obtain it. This was totally unnecessary if no vehicle had been identified. She took us outside and proceeded to explain the features of the vehicle of interest as fast as she could. She showed me the difference between the models in stock. When I inquired about the price of a vehicle she gave me pricing that was way out of our budget. At this point, I understood she had baited me to just come in. She insisted on showing me vehicles that were twice as much as what we had originally talked about and did not have any vehicles in my price range. I had already been there several hours and felt it was worthy of my time to test drive some vehicles. Mrs Cipher felt it was appropriate for her to give me the key and send me to get the vehicle myself across the lot. When I turned in the vehicle I realized the vehicles had no gas. I went back to the front of the dealer. When I told Mrs. Cipher of the status of the vehicle, she gave me the keys to another vehicle. This vehicle also had no gas. She gave me the keys to a third vehicle and was told that if it did not have gas, to only test drive it in the lot. If I wanted to take it on the road I would have to bring the vehicle up front for her to fill up. I went to the vehicle and found it to have no gas. I went back, gave her the keys, and walked out. At this point I was all sweaty from going back and forth to the three different vehicles. I had been way too tolerant and patient to have even allowed everything she did to my me. I decided to reach out to her manager the following week to inform them of my experience. The manager indicated that this was proper protocol and there was not much he could do but escalate it to his superiors. I later received text messages from Mrs. Cipher trying to justify her actions. To which I did not respond out of courtesy. This dealer showed no loyalty to me as I had for them. The actions from their management proved that they didn't care. Mrs. Cipher dress very professional but it was all appearance. She made it a goal to be inside during the whole process. Why wear a suit if your not going to be outside. You can't sell a car inside. I went to their competitive neighbor Lonestar Chevrolet and found exactly what I wanted, within the budget I was looking for, without any hassle. Sterling McCall has lost my business indefinitely! Buying experience here is decent but the reason for the review is the service department. They are terrible. When they say "we will call you for xxxx", just go on about your life because they're never going to call. You have to call yourself. Also, if you don't have a week to wait for a simple oil change or anything for that matter, don't waste your time. Nice folks, just bad service. read more

I have a hard time with them EVERY SINGLE TIME I come! I ask the service advisor to look at the notes on my account to see my service plan, and this time, this guy said it is my responsibility to have it printed out, all because he didn't know how to use the new system. Then once he clearly heard it from someone, he asked if they will still honor it even though it was with the previous management. So unprofessional, they need either a better note system or to train their guys to look them up. I seriously cannot wait for my plan to end so I could get my oil changes elsewhere! Munday advertised a 2018 Sonic on their website. The car had been on the website for some time so I called twice before driving all the way up there to see if it was available & was told that it was. When I went to test drive it, I was kept waiting for quite a while. The salesman returns & says he can't find the keys & is gone again for about 10 minutes. He then comes back & says that the car was in an accident when it was last driven & he could get me another Sonic to test drive. He brought a hatch back, which style I did not want, but I drove it to see how I liked it. I asked him what kind of damage the other car had & if I could see it and he went to talk to his manager. He comes back & says the car had front end damage & was up on the lift in the body shop. He went on to say how the damage was so extensive he would not want to sell it to anyone and that they were waiting on the adjuster to look at it. He said he was hoping it was totaled. Three weeks later, the same car is still advertised on the website. Clearly a case of bait & switch!! My wife was told that they would not fix something that was found after we purchased the car. At the time of delivery there was no walk around we just moved our stuff to the other car and left. When I see the dent the next day my wife called and told it would be taken care of. Now they are saying it will not be fixed. Bad business! read more

I just moved here from VA, and had service on my car for the first time ever after moving to TX. NEVER EVER have I had a problem w my car until after my oil change. Now my check engine light is on and they are saying they have nothing to do with it & to top it off. After I left from getting my oil change and "supposedly" tires rotated, I noticed that my wheel lock was missing. I am 100000% sure that they were ALL on when I dropped my car off for service and hen I asked about it and they checked the pro history on it, it specifically said that they didn't do the tire rotation bc they couldn't find the wheel like. However when I was sitting in the waiting room, the guy came over to me asking did I have it and I got it to them from my glove box. Now, I really can't trust them and I don't even want to go there to see why my check engine light has come on smh read more
