Hands down one of the best dealership service experiences I've had! Scheduling was super easy: online or by phone, and every single person I met was friendly, upbeat, and actually seemed happy to be there (rare these days!). The place itself is wow, spotless, modern, and full of nice touches. You drive right in through these huge glass garage doors like a VIP, then hang out in a comfy lounge with snacks, coffee, charging stations, and even a little dog area. The restrooms? Sparkling clean. They kept me updated the whole time and even threw in a free car wash. I did have to bring my Subaru in twice for the same issue, but with service this good, I honestly didn't mind. They also offer free rides if you need to head out while your car's in the shop. Bottom line: friendly people, great vibes, and service that goes above and beyond. 10/10 recommend! read more

yes I have taken my car in for repair and both times the jobs were not completed. I understand if you can't fix it, but don't not follow through to make aure you have a satisfied customer. First case, they did not fix issue but changed my oil and said I could pick up vehicle and bring it in another day to fix it? They were not going to tell me that until I came by bit firtuantely I asked them status before I went. Second time, they said they did all they could but were pretty sure that it would not stay fixed.. I told them to send information pertinent to the car problems to my company's car service department. They did not and just sent it to me even though I have no authority to make decisions on vehicle. Honestly beyond impressed with the customer service, sales experience and of course my 2025 Outback. I've done luxury twice (Audi that had a bad design and caused major electrical problems! And a Volvo that was literally bought back within the first 9 months of owning it). The 2025 Outback Touring with a turbo is just as good if not better than any luxury car out there in my honest opinion. It has EVERYTHING the luxury cars have minus the price tag and headaches. The quick response to your acceleration will bring a smile to your face and remind you you don't need that ticket! Also didn't want to leave out the fact that it actually has a CD player in it as well!!! Make sure you ask for Nate he'll have you in and out within 4 hours start to finish. The service center is consistently slow. I've never made it out in under two hours, and today was three and a half hours for an oil change and alignment. I am still under the service plan but am also told each time I am here that I need other services conveniently not covered on only a two year old vehicle. Would not recommend at all. read more

This place is terrible when it comes to getting your car serviced. But then again, that industry is shady as it is.. On one occasion, the foreign lady was selling me a package that included an alignment that i needed and a battery check. I told her i didn't need the battery check so i'll get the lesser. Well she put it in as the package anyway and we had to wait an extra hour for the battery test AND they couldn't do the alignment because they didn't have the right tool.. and yep, i had to pay for it or wait another hour for the manager. Another occasion had me trying to get them to fix the center rear brake light that stopped working after only a couple years. Same lady told me that i'll need to order a whole new unit as it is defective. No warranty apparently. Didn't do that but a different mechanic found a wiring issue with it and fixed it easily.. read more

Not a good experience. I had an APPOINTMENT at 9am for a check engine light and an oil change. I drove an hour from Las Cruces to get there and I told them I would be waiting in their customer waiting room. Exactly 49 minutes after I handed them the keys, they sent me a text while I was in the waiting room that said I could text them anytime for anything. 3 hours and 30 minutes later I text them for the status. 15 minutes later no response. I text them again asking for the status. They finally replied "Hello, your service has been performed. my technician will need additional time to continue to diagnose the check engine light concern. would you like to proceed?" I get up, I walk around back to the counter and glance outside and see my Subaru (yes I'm positive it was mine because I'm the only one with a ski rack and I looked at the license plate). It was parked OUTSIDE across from the service entrance. No one was checking it out, completely disrespectful of my time. After 3 hours and 45 minutes how long was it sitting there??? They certainly weren't diagnosing it that long because they charge for that by the hour and would have told me in advance. I totally lost it at that moment on the girl working the desk. She sent a service manager over who was actually nice and told me he would expedite the diagnostic. About 45 minutes later he comes to me and tells me it needs a new bulkhead which has something to do with the fuel system. The cost would be $5k for 18 hours worth of work. I later learned the bulkhead he talked about is for the electric wiring in the system. It isn't the fuel system that needed fixing. He had no idea what he was talking about. This car only has $52k miles on it. It's been giving me problems. It cut off on me in the middle of nowhere with no cell service. At that point it was 2k miles out of warranty. How convenient. And now this. Clearly I got a lemon. I paid $30k for a POS car that's now worth only $15k, and it makes no sense to pay $5k to fix a used car. I asked to sell the car to this dealership and they offered me $5k under KBB for a deal purchase. Afterwards I got a quote from another dealer for exactly book value for a dealer sale even with the mechanical issues. I would rather drive this POS Subaru off a cliff before I give these people, or any Subaru dealer, any of my money. To their credit they waived the diagnostic fee because I was so upset at them not respecting my time. But I never should have had to go through that in the first place. read more

Went to get my first service on my new Crosstrek and took advantage of the free car wash, thinking what a great touch that was. When the car was give back to me the inside was very badly scratched due to what can only be described as total incompetence. Service Advisor was and has been very helpful. Not heard a thing from anybody at a managerial level though so will not be going back or purchasing another vehicle from them. My wife and I are car shopping and visited several dealerships in the El Paso area. We were looking forward to the Subaru dealership because we are both big fans of their cars and there was a highly likely chance we would have purchased one today, but we would have had to have been helped first. We literally walked around the lot looking at vehicles for 15 minutes, while passing several associates and we didn't get so much as a hello. I purchased my 2017 Subaru Outback, New, from El Paso Subaru, and they alone have performed all routine maintenance, everything! This automobile now it has nearly 100k miles without requiring any repairs and it is just one reason why I keep buying Subarus--my wife bought the Legacy and our son purchased the WRX also 2017 models; no explanation necessary. Now, as to their service department--bottom line: same high quality and attention to 'every' detail. They serviced the Outback yesterday, routine oil change, but they also performed a complete inspection--everything. Well, it needs new rear brakes and shocks, which will be the first repair of any kind on this my 'third Subaru Outback--each with 100k miles plus. I am traveling across the country and needed an oil change and tire rotation. They set me up with an appointment over the phone. I arrived a little early and was immediately helped by a very nice young man. They found a minor problem with the tire fasteners and fixed with no charge. They washed the car, vacuumed the interior, and cleaned the dash! We were then given a nice gift bag and escorted to our car. The price was very very fair and the service was great. If I ever need service in El Paso again I will definitely be back. read more

I am changing my prior review. We bought a used car from Subaru El Paso and had wonderful service from the sales personnel, with them even calling to follow up that everything with the car was working out. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff evidently don't do their jobs and don't care. We purchased the car July 29. We paid a total of $662.42 in fees for Title and Registration to the dealership. Per their paperwork, the registration is $89.50. We received a temporary registration with an expiration date of September 27. I have called several times to find out why we haven't received our plates and permanent registration. Unfortunately, the sales people haven't got any response from the people, who I now know is Eric, who handles the registration except "we get plates every day, and they aren't here." He just okie-doked us and obviously didn't even follow through. Now it is two days before the expiration of the temporary registration. My husband called Eric who said he'd check and get back to us right away. An hour and a half later, after no response, my husband called again. Eric said they didn't have it and they'd send us an email with an extention of two weeks. Wanted to know if we had done our part--a NM MVD Certified VIN Inspection that was completed July 31 and mailed to them that day!!!! It's now been an hour and no email has been received. Eric said New Mexico is the problem, however when we moved to New Mexico it only took two weeks for us to receive our registrations from the MVD, so it's not New Mexico. That is obviously BS. Eric and whomever he contacted at the Title Office just don't care. They haven't done their job, haven't followed up, and have completely dropped the ball. They have our money and that's it. I wish I had declined to have them do the registration and done it myself. It would have been done a month ago, and I wouldn't have to be dealing with callous, unresponsive, uninterested,and incompetent people. read more

Where to begin... ok so I had been looking for a new ride for yours truly and I was either going with muscle or a pickemup.. so as I was perusing some MOPAR vehicles i happened to come upon Subaru El Paso 's web page and I saw her, my Christine. That color and the black and and and... she was and IS beautiful. So I scheduled to go see it and had told my daughter I wanted to test drive her and a Silverado that also caught my eye, mind you I told my daughter this on Sunday about two weeks ago. So then she(daughter) comes over the following Tuesday and says lets go see her and I almost put it off but she wouldn't take no for an answer so she drives me to the dealer. We get there and I ask for the internet sales manager who tells me Jason will be helping me out. They had her in the back waiting for us and first thing Jason asks is do you want to hear her rumble to which I nod my head in agreement. OMG let me tell y'all if you've never heard a Hemi cold start, you haven't lived. My blood curdled with excitement and then he gave me the keys to drive, I was giddy..I tried my best to contain my joy and happiness but I know I failed as fox my daughter when she took over at the wheel. Mind you I was already pre-approved by my bank,TFCU, so I just had to find what I wanted and negotiate. We finally return to the dealer and he asks me if I'm ready to take her home and I said let's do this. This was on Tuesday that we did all the paperwork. Subaru El Paso keeps removing my reviews from Google. We were given $7000 -$9000 estimate to replace a now "bad" transmission after an accidental transmission drain. We drove the 2015 Forester to a renowned Subaru mechanic in Albuquerque for the transmission replacement. No transmission damage, no engine damage. Transmission fluid was changed. Cost? $200! We had to come to El Paso due to no local Subaru in Las Cruces. We had appointment for 11:00 am and arrived at 10:45. It is now 12:30 and we haven't been given an update or heard anything. I sure wish there was another place we could go for service. This is our first time at this dealer having just moved to Las Cruces from California. My senior aged Parents went in for $18 inspection sticker and walked out with $412 service bill. Had oil changed after only 1150 miles and many other services done but not needed. Amazing service and amazing people! Long story short- we bought our Subaru in California and during our cross country trip, there was an issue with the sound system. No music, no GPS prompts- nothing. I called this dealership and told them my issue and how I have a few days of driving, PLEASE HELP! They are were so empathetic and told me to come right in. They not only promptly troubleshot the problem, they gave us pointers on what to do if it ever happened again. I wish I would've gotten the gentleman's name...either way, he was an angel. My experience was poor. From my contact with my initial sales person who didn't follow up to the next sales person who took over who also stopped communication. I called the dealership and started over verifying the vehicle I wanted was still there and setting up an appointment for the following day. I called the following morning to confirm the appointment with 2 individuals before starting my 50 mile trip. Half way to the dealership I got a call saying someone had walked in and bought the vehicle. I thought that was BS and unprofessional. The other individual should have been told they'd be notified in the afternoon if the vehicle was still available. This is not a business I would trust. read more

To say I am disappointed is an understatement! I have been wanting a Subaru for a long time when I finally decided to by one I was so happy because I have heard nothing but good things about the service! I have had major issues with the service department and my vehicle only has 9000 miles on it. The first was when I took it to get the first service after driving twenty miles after service all the check engine lights come on. I take it back and they tell me it's a faulty 02 sensor which I can handle except I know 02 sensors can sometimes be damaged during an oil change rather than telling me it could have happened during the oil change and that it would be fixed the service rep decides to tell me it was just a faulty sensor. Then when I take it to get fixed I make an appointment and the car sits there all day when they told me it would take maybe 2 hours. This is by far the worst service I have ever experienced so much so I am thinking of paying 20 grand more for and Acura suv just so I can get out of dealing with this service department. read more

I had an appointment to add a cargo basket to my car at 7am (first appointment of the day). To which I arrived to my appointment around 6:50am to give myself enough time to check in. At around 7:50 they come and tell me I need cross bars in order for them to install the basket. Why on earth are they telling me almost and hour later that I need cross bars, that was extremely in-considerate of my time. With COVID-19 cases on the rise here in El Paso you think they would want to get people in and out as soon as possible. There excuse was that the service manager who arrived at 7am doesn't do cargo boxes. They had to wait until the other guy to arrived. For thr last 3 oil changes, I have been charged around $75. This time my husband took my Crosstrek in for me and they charged me $130. Looking at the invoice they charged us for the oil change and then oil and filter separate. When I told him this was wrong and he went back to have it fixed, the associate told him that was because he declined an $800 75k mile service that I AM NOT EVEN DUE FOR YET. Total scam. They said it was still in line to be washed. I ended up leaving without the wash because of a doctors appointment. Over the last 10 years I have purchased three vehicles from Subaru of El Paso, including a 2019 Subaru Outback. On August 13, 2022 I returned to the El Paso Airport from a two-week trip when I discovered my 2.5 year old car battery was dead. Since I was only two blocks away from Subaru of El Paso (Subaru EP) I called the service department and asked if they provide roadside service or will jump my car. They said no, which was not unexpected. I was surprised when I asked if they could suggest "anyone in El Paso" who could give me a jump - they said "no". They might have informed me that there was a class action suit against Subaru for a battery drain" problem caused by the Subaru electronics/computer; and if I could get a jump and come over to Subaru EP to buy a new battery then my warranty would be extended on the battery, but they said nothing. Two days later I received a notice in the mail that I was part of the class of consumers affected by this issue. On November 15, 2022 I took the car to Subaru EP for service and described the issue. First they acted like they never heard of it, then after I pressed them, they said it was a "bad batch of batteries", not a battery drain issue (both service advisor Jorge Flores and manager Rene Perez said this). Coincidentally I had my paperwork for the class action suit with me and offered to show it to both of them but they declined and continued with the story line about bad batteries, AND because I did not buy my battery from Subaru, I would NOT be reinstated into the warranty program. I explained numerous times that they could have informed me of the settlement agreement when I called them on August 13, so that I could be reinstated into the program. They, especially Mr. Perez, selectively ignored my feedback and comments. I asked repeatedly if he would perform training for his team about how to helpfully respond to other customers on this issue, rather than simply protecting Subaru, and he dodged the question numerous times. Prior to buying my three vehicles from this dealership, I came into the sales floor numerous times over the years but could not get any help, so I would walk out each time, asking myself why I would bother going back. Similarly after buying the first two vehicles I can only say that the service department was terrible. However the service department treated me so much better after buying the new 2019 Outback - until now. DON'T DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. Worst dealership ever! read more

Friendly warning to USAA Members using USAA Car Buying Service Powered by True Car. This dealership is a certified participating USAA dealership, but will not honor the pricing they provided to USAA on their vehicles. I confirmed with USAA that the participating dealerships, including El Paso Subaru provide them (USAA) with the pricing information they provide to their members as part of an agreement to participate in their USAA Car Buying Service program. The details follow: I found the vehicle at their dealership that I wanted to purchase through USAA car buying service and thought the pricing was fair. I communicated with Pam Urbina Internet manager about test driving the car. I Went to the dealership and met Joey. I explained to Joey the purpose of our visit and the USAA car buying service referral. We test drove and decided to purchase a week or so later. Joey provided us a price almost $1,000.00 above the pre negotiated, 'hassle free' USAA price. I thought he made a simple mistake at first, but he confirmed via email that El Paso Subaru would not honor their arrangement with USAA. I tried to discuss with Pam Urbina, but she did not know. I spoke with Matt, who identified himself as a manager. Matt said he would call me right back with an answer. Not surprisingly, he never called me back. I called Pam again, but she stopped answering. I had to call her from a different number. After some difficulty, I was able to speak to Barbara Mendariz, who identified herself as the GM. Barbara confirmed that they would not honor their arrangement with USAA, verbally and through email. Although I was polite and professional, i found her tone to be unnecessarily adversarial, which raised my suspicion a little. I reported all of this to USAA, who indicated they would contact EL Paso Subaru and remove El Paso Subaru as a certified dealer from their web site if they no longer wanted to participate in the program. I will continue to monitor and update this post accordingly because the effect of this practice is to bring USAA members into the dealership then raise the price. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around this one. It is so ridiculous that I am honestly not sure if it is intentional, or just top to bottom incompetence. Regardless, the result is an enormous waste of my time and a lot of bad will. This seems like an idiotic practice in a large military town with a high percentage of USAA membership. In subsequent conversations, other nearby USAA certified Subaru dealerships confirmed my assessment. In fact, in the time it took to get a return call from the GM at El Paso Subaru, I was able to work out deals on three Subarus at three separate USAA certified dealerships within a couple hundred miles. As I said, not sure if this practice is by design, or the result of complete incompetence from the top down.
