The customer service at this facility is terrible. It feels like we work for them instead of them working for us. Every time we arrive, it seems like they are upset that customers are even there, as if we are bothering them by bringing in our vehicle. I spoke with Joe Meza and gave him a heads-up regarding the poor customer service. He mentioned that he had not yet had the opportunity to bring it to their attention. When you arrive, there is no acknowledgment or greeting from the staff, and they always seem upset or annoyed. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to continue taking my car there because that is where my warranty service must be completed. We have brought my VW here for almost 10 years. Every time, the service was great (minus the push for new tires I did not need) and they accommodated us when we had an emergency. However, this last time....while I am thankful they were able to fit us in, the communication was minimal. No "your car is done", no call other than to let us know what was going on and for us to give them the go ahead to fix it. On Monday following the weekend we dropped our car off, all I got was a link to a video made by a tech with the message" please let me know how you like it" and then another text with an estimate for what they thought we should have done to the car. Surprisingly enough, none of the "new issues" were anywhere on their list when we took the car in 2 months prior, and they could not have developed so quickly. So I call bogus on their multi point inspection. There was no call from the service desk to check if we want to get the extra stuff done, we called and no one answered, so we drove down and the service person (who had always been top notch) caught an attitude that I did not text her back and she was waiting for a reply. No where in either of the texts I received was there anything about "text us if you want this or that". They have gone to "we'll text you, not call you, no more personalized service" and basically raising her voice at us while we were trying to explain the confusion. Definitely will not be going back here for service and I won't recommend the place like we have in the past. This is not my dealer but, I was visiting El Paso and my vehicle broke down here, I took it here and I was told the next appointment would be until like in 2 weeks but, Jennifer was able to get my vehicle in before that , she was very helpful and kept me informed of the status of the repairs. I am very happy with their service I felt like they cared about our situation and did everything to help us get out car repaired. I bought a 2015 Nissan Frontier SV from what I believe to reputable dealership. Most will tell you to be weary of dealerships on Alameda, but it stands for anyone selling used vehicles. Evidently, the dealership took the vehicle in and prepped for resale without doing anything or not cost effective to them. Well, After I paid for the service, I go out to leave and guess what... they did not rotate the tires. One of the best and stress-free car buying experiences I have had. Gustavo Holcombe was great at communicating with me. I sent him info on my expiring lease and vehicle I wanted to look at. He made sure we were ready to go for a test drive when I arrived and answered all of my questions. The negotiation process was pain-free as the final number we agreed on was also easily agreed upon and I was driving home in my new Tiguan fairly quickly. If I could give 0 stars to the service department I would. I purchased a 2018 gti from them in 2019 and the sales experience was amazing. Less than a year into having my car, I had a major issue. I had it towed to them and it was serviced. Took more than two weeks but at least Alex Fernandez from the service department did all he could for me. He kept me updated, he worked hard to get me a loaner, he was polite, courteous and respectful. Fast forward to another year later and once again I'm having an issue with my car. Left me stranded with a crank no start. The EPC light came on. I called my brother in law (who is a mechanic) and he came to my location, ran the codes and let me know roughly what the problem was. We have the car towed to hoyvw for service because it should still be under warranty. This time around I get Jennifer Stockman. What a nightmare from the beginning. I work 12 hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm so my wife needed to be the one communicating with the service department while I was working. For one, Jennifer was rude from the beginning. She let my wife know my car wouldn't even be looked at for two weeks because they were short a mechanic. My wife says okay and Jennifer proceeds to ask her "well what's wrong with the car? The tow guy just dropped it off and didn't say anything". My wife explains the crank no start and the EPC light. (Which Jennifer says she was never told about) Jennifer says "well it started fine here. It took a little while but it did start". Since when is it "fine" for a car to start after taking "a little while"? She proceeds to give her guesses on what's wrong with the car but then says "but I'm not a mechanic". My wife asks if there are any loaners since I would be without a car for so long and Jennifer says no. So my wife asks if there's a list we could be placed on and Jennifer says there's no list. My wife asks if there's a loaner available if she could please get a hold of us to get the loaner. Jennifer then proceeds to rudely ask "you are aware you need full coverage for the loaner?" my wife says it's not a problem. Then Jennifer asks "well are you over (the age requirement)?" My wife says yes and Jennifer just brushes it off again and says "well we don't have any". So what was the point in the questions? To try and eliminate the ability to receive a loaner car? My wife was fuming and let me know how terrible it was so far. So after about a week Jennifer calls and I'm at work. Against better judgement while at my hectic work space I answer and she tells me they THINK my battery is the problem. I KNOW my battery is not the problem (my mechanic brother in law AND the man who towed my car said it wouldn't be the battery) but I need my car back because of conflicting schedules. I tell her to change the battery and she lets me know magically my battery's warranty had JUST expired 301 miles ago. Jennifer claimed they wanted to start by changing my battery. To my understanding they hadn't even ran a diagnostic (knowing the EPC light had come on) but of course something out of pocket would be wrong. They change the battery and she calls me back saying once again crank no start so they're still going to need to keep it and find out what's wrong with it. I go to my brother in law and he says it wasn't the battery. We look for the codes in his search history and I message the service department and send them the two codes my brother got from the diagnostic test. After another week or so I get a call that one of the codes I had sent they also got. They changed a relay and I can get my car back. When I go to pick it up Jennifer (whose customer service is absolute garbage) charges me $277 for the battery. She said the relay was covered under warranty. I pay, leave. Two days later I get a crank no start. I have it towed back and tell Willy I don't want to deal with Jennifer. She gets ahold of me. They refuse to give my money back and I'm not dealing with Willy who is just as bad as Jennifer. I came to him with my issue with the service department and he gave me just as much attitude and was outright rude. I asked him to record the phone call we were having. Of course when he called me back he started out with some actual customer service just to get over it shortly and start being rude and snappy. We're towing our car from hoy to Rudolph. When I got to the dealership, Ernie apologized about the inconvenience and explained a new internet program was in place that still had glitches, so no appointment was ever made. Regardless, Ernie managed to take my car in and help me out in full. He quickly assessed what could be the problem (he assessed correctly) and had me on my way. Be extremely weary of buying Certified Pre-Own Vehicles from this agency. I bought a vehicle that was Pre-Owned and Certified and said to have passed the 112 point inspection, but in the coming months quickly realized that several of the inspection points should not have been approved before selling. After reaching out back to Hoy Fox Volkswagen to fix several of the car issues, they did not stand behind their Certified-Pre Own inspection and warranty and left me feeling like the 112 inspection and Certified Pre-Own Vehicle warranty were useless. Do not expect any help, specifically from Mario, the pre-owned vehicle salesman, in helping repair any issues with your car. I would also be extremely careful at selecting any of the Pre-Owned Vehicles. read more

Shamaley Ford agreed to a sell price and then sold the vehicle to another customer underneath my nose after I obtained financing with my bank. This dealership on the other hand agreed to a sell price and actually sold me the vehicle. Price of my vehicle was fair compared to the other dealerships in this city. I was able to obtain upfront pricing and a hassle free experience with the salesman. Solid used vehicle sales at this dealership. I recommend people look here first for a good deal. Only complaint would be their internet sales department doesn't accurately update vehicles available on their website, which is a frustrating dealership tactic to draw you in. Although I found a solid deal, my original interest in the dealership was for a vehicle that was already sold. Overall experience at this dealership is very positive. read more

I recently had the great pleasure of going through the used vehicle department at Hoy Volkswagen, working with sales representative, Danny. I was not at all too sure what to purchase as I very recently had the misfortune of my own vehicle being deemed a total loss. Even though I ended up in the end getting my own vehicle repaired, I spent nearly 3 weeks testing various vehicles. I shopped all over town, but continued to return to Hoy as Danny went above and beyond, treating my needs as a priority and was more than patient, showing me any and every vehicle without pressure. Every single question and query I had was always answered and he always responded in a timely manner with texts and calls. He went out of his way to introduce me to new options as well on a daily basis, and even though I know he had other customers, he always made me feel as if I was first order and the only customer that mattered. Further I must include the entire staff was very helpful even when Danny was not available. Typical old-school dealer, lousy service after the sale that goes all the way to the top. Needed a TDI Jetta and they were the only dealer in the area with one in inventory. Used a buyer's club (USAA) which was supposed to be a set amount over invoice. Instead the original "special internet price" was MSRP! Eventually the sales manager, Armando Martinez, "discounted" to what Edmunds said others were paying but acted like they were doing me a big favor. Paid cash for the car and bike rack bars that they said would be mailed - they were temporarily out of stock. Also noted an interior trim piece was missing and told the salesman, Noe Countino. A week later still no bars and no trim piece. Calls and emails to Noe were either ignored or I was promised that Armando would call - he never did. Eventually I called around, found the bars locally, and purchased them (exactly what I had asked Noe to do a week before). They also didn't order the trim piece, suggesting it would be "easier" if I did all the work myself, going to a local dealer and having them order it. Complaints to the VP got only lip service email response, none of them seemed overly concerned about a disgruntled customer. I guess once the sale was made they could not care less. Neither the Noe nor Armando called to apologize (a not-so-subtle "screw you") and in the end I regret purchasing the car from them. Avoid this dealer - plenty of other options in the EP area. BTW, still waiting for the check for what I paid them for the bars - they refused to reimburse me what I eventually had to pay to get them. read more
