When we entered it did look really cool with all the different games and stuff that they had. For a family of four with a military discount it cost me close to $85. That was just to play mini golf which to me is kind of expensive but we enjoy doing it. When I went to inquire about doing other things I quickly was told everything else is a charge so if you plan on doing one thing that's what you're going to do unless you want to spend some money. It was pretty cool to see all the different golf holes being portrayed in different movies and having some unique Parts about them that made it challenging which simulated quite a bit of laughter. Great idea for a bar/restaurant! We were in town for work and wanted to check Group Therapy out for a future team event. With mini golf, darts, and axe throwing, there is something for everyone. Also, it's all indoors so your event will happen rain or shine! We did struggle a bit to get service on a slow night at the bar. A couple months late on this review, but this place is so much fun! Went here after searching for something fun to do in the area while my sister was visiting. Stumbled across it while we were walking around the city and also wanted a bite to eat. I can't remember the name of the guy at the front desk, but he was super nice & helpful with getting us scheduled to be able to play mini golf and get dinner! Their food tasted great, was relatively cheap, and they have vegetarian options. Mini golf was also fun and I enjoyed that each hole was movie themed. I don't think I've ever had such a challenging game of mini golf until I came here! Mt friends and I visited during Memorial Day weekend and were happy to see a special for $20 for most games. We stuck with mini golf and loved seeing the themes for all 18 holes. It definitely is quite challenging but enjoyed seeing the effort put into designing all the holes and some were pretty unique! There also is a variety of drinks which includes a tap and pour system and food items as well. They also have bowling and some arcade games as well! I would recommend coming by here with any group of friends for a fun activity if you're ever in downtown Greenville! read more

This place has lots of potential but it is absurdly expensive and they don't do a good job explaining the promotions. I even said "We've never been here before, how does this work?" That should have been the signal that the person behind the desk needs to explain how it works. The person was a supervisor to boot. They nearly double charged us but we held out and they eventually fixed it, though we were still overcharged. The games are fun: mini golf, axe throwing. The simulator looks cool. The beer tap wall is nice, though it inconsistently reports how much it has dispensed, which makes it more likely people are overcharging. The food was pub fare and pretty decent. The burgers and the egg roll appetizer were really good. The concept is great. The execution is pretty good. The pricing was way too high. We had a corporate team building event at this venue on a Tuesday night. It was an early, 6PM to 8PM event at Group Therapy. And they mean it about the start time. We were early by about 15 minutes and allowed to walk around, but nothing could be on the corporate tab until 6PM rolled around. We had reserved all of the axe throwing bays, there were maybe 8 or them and it is computer projected into the target area with different, fun choices of targets. Scoring is electronic. Entering we are given event bracelets identifying which group we belonged to and also a separate bracelet for dispensing from the wall of beer choices. It is self served and the bracelet activates the tap by holding the bracelet up to the screen and then pouring your measured beer, charging by the metered ounce coming out. There are many choices of beer styles and hard seltzers and ciders. Make a note of the alcohol content, some are much higher than others. There is also an 18 hole mini-golf course with each hole being themed from a different movie in a fun way. There is a simulated golf option as well. We pretty much hung out by the axe throwing since we had a taco bar set up there for our event. There is also a full bar service available. It is a nice open air space, comfortable and roomy. The chicken and ground beef for the tacos was overly salted, but it was adequate bar food. It is a fun bar for a younger crowd. You could tell that most of us who were over 40 were interested in having a beer and a conversation and those of us under 40 were competitively throwing axes and throwing down beer. I would recommend it for a large crowd/corporate event, but on my own volition, probably not going to be back here for a long time, if ever. read more

They also have a beer wall that you can get a wristband to use to try small pours of a large number of options or full pours of your favorites as well as full bar with some seasonal cocktails in addition to the typical. It's alright. Fun with a group and super creative setup. Games are fun and it's a good spot to watch football (sort of). The beer wall is a neat idea, but frustrating follow through. A little expensive too. An example is I got an Irish red on the beer wall only to pull the handle and what came out was an IPA (really not a fan of ipas!!! Quite the rude surprise). It's almost like the tap was connected to the adjacent keg. This happened with another beer that night. It was odd. Another issue was my girlfriend wanted to watch the FSU game. There was Georgia/alabama (going to be a good game of big significance), Clemson/Stanford (all good, go Tigers), and Houston vs Iowa St. there are so many TVs, it would've fine to change one of the 3 tvs playing Houston Vs. Iowa St games to FSU. Plus FSU has a significant alumni population here....Anyway I digress, we watched on my phone after being told no It's really a fine spot if that's your thing, but I've been there twice now and I'm just not impressed. I really really want to give this place a 5 star review but I can't. I think it was overpriced and had some false advertising. #1. The putt putt course costs $25 a person. It is just unreasonable and it is a poorly designed course. The decorations are really good but you can see those without playing. The course is just on the boarder of the restaurant. It is based with carpet and you could not hit and accurate shot. If you actually want to play true putt putt this isn't it. #2. Online we saw "ice curling" -- no this is more like a large, on the ground shuffleboard. No ice. We had saved a time slot online but when we got there we did not think it was worth $20 per person. Ok so it's a really cool concept-literally an adult playground with games, mini golf, draft beer wall, cocktail bar and snack bar. Under 18 years allowed before 8pm. We came in about mid afternoon and it was not overwhelming, but still busy. We checked in by getting the lay of the land and putting our credit cards on file for the beer wall. We ordered Buffalo chicken dip for a snack-it was good but what you'd expect from a snack bar. We met some friends and decided to play mini golf. Sidenote: after a few tastes from the beer wall we had to wait in line at the front desk to reapprove our credit card-that was annoying. So the mini golf-like a previous review stated, it's impossible. But each hole is a movie scene-but not to the point of infringing on copyrights. It's was pretty hysterical. I do wish there were rules regarding group sizes, there was a group of 8 that had 4 other groups waiting behind them. There's a changing station in the family bathroom-but when pulled down the bottom piece tips down instead of remaining straight in the wall. When checking out to leave, we were asked to tip. I'm fine with that, buuuuut when mini golf is $25 each, we've gotten our own drinks, and haven't received "service" anywhere-that's a bit much. I didn't pay attention to our food receipt but I'm now wondering if we were charged a delivery fee like the bar had charged. read more

This place is overpriced, food was cold and not good. Atmosphere is cool but every game cost a fortune. We were going to buy a bowling lane and a dude using 2 lanes said we could use one since they weren't. They left later and there was still 50 minutes left so we continued bowling. Until a rude worker came up to us asking if payed for the lane and we explained to her what happened she then proceeded to say she was gonna find who previously had the lane to see if they let us use it, (even though they left) she then came back lying said they said we couldn't use it so we left that area and went to where the rest of our friends were at the axe throwing. A guy came over and in the rudest way possible told us we can't sit by them unless we have a wristband that is also overly priced even though I didn't want to play. Had an awesome afternoon at Group Therapy! Great location right on Main near Falls Park, pretty good food for a place like this, and very friendly and attentive staff. The beer wall has a good selection, plus they have a full bar so best of both worlds! We did the mini golf and ping pong and I'm mostly just sad we missed the ice curling. The mini golf was awesome - maybe not the best logistics-wise but they all have awesome themes so it's easy to get over the weird logistics. They also have axe throwing and outdoor yard games like corn hole so maybe I should actually say it's the best of MANY worlds :) Our visit was a family thing (kids are 21 and 15 and both had a really good time) but this is definitely also a great place for a date! read more

Staff was nice and friendly and helpful in explaining the game to us as no one had ever played prior to the visit. I didn't have food because we were going to dinner after, but cocktails were ordered. I had a pickle martini (name might be wrong) that was a different taste but pretty good. This was my first time here with the grandson and husband. The set up is kinda confusing and each "activity" is priced individually. You will almost have a coronary when you see the prices for the "games"! To play mini golf is $20 per person. We also did curling but my husband paid for that and all I know about price is he told me "never more"! We did not try food because we were still recovering from their prices. GROUP THERAPY may be the greatest bar I've ever had the pleasure of visiting! It is absolutely genius level creativity that truly had a therapeutic effect on our evening. You start at the front desk where you are first ID'd and then given a bracelet that will allow you to order food and drinks, which is also connected to whatever credit card you provide. [ FUN GAMES ] The left side of the facility houses "the first and only indoor venue to offer an 18-hole wacky mini golf course, ice curling, ping pong, axe throwing, and tons of backyard games. I like big putts and I cannot lie... this course will have you hypnotized. A pop culture dreamland of all your nostalgic childhood movies awaits." Each hole is movie themed and part of the fun is recognizing exactly which movie it is. My favorite was the DUMB & DUMBER hole featuring the Mutt Cutts van, top hats, suites, briefcase and of course... the toilet! I laughed out loud HARD just at the sight of it as that scene from the movie replayed instantly in my head. SIDE NOTE - Someone should take this same concept into Escape Rooms. [ BEER GARDEN ] The right side of the facility houses a 30 tap self-serve beer garden wall as well as "Instagram worthy cocktails" from the bar and a stage for Karaoke nights. I've never has so much fun watching amateur singers belt out a tune. Every group that took the stage was full on entertaining and every solo singer had serious pro-grade chops! It was almost like being at a concert of all your favorite artists. My guess is this is also the side they host bingo and trivia nights. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] It was especially therapeutic for us because we were on the last leg home from a 22-hour round trip adventure to drop our youngest son off at his new college home. ANY PARENT understands the rush of emotions that comes with this new chapter and Group Therapy was just what we needed. It was especially memorable because we had his 21-year-old brother with us and while we have brought them to Greenville many times as kids, it was our first experience with him as an adult. We made the entire trip an adventure and we were so very pleased to hear him say he "had the most amazing time ever!" IT IS SIMPLY NOT POSSIBLE to have ANYTHING LESS than an OUTSTANDING time here if you are looking for a fun night out!!! We laughed until we cried. It was an epic cap to an emotional road trip and they are truly worthy of their clever name! They have plans to expand to Austin, Raleigh, Louisville, and Charleston.
