They will split your appointment into two talking about deep cleaning, take you to the front office to check with the insurance. The front office staff will print out a statement showing you that insurance covers both services, and you get to pay for anesthetic which is $10. The day I went for the second cleaning I had to wait for a long time because of technical difficulties. I got done and I could not pay the $10 and the lady said they would call me the next day. The following day, a call came in right at the time when they were to about to close, and a statement had been sent of $200 plus. I called and somebody stated they had closed, I asked why the statement was sent after close time if she had nobody to answer my questions, she told me to pay tthe $10 then would have billing look into it. She explained that they call insurance, but they do not know what will be covered. First of all when they sat down with me on the initial visit and informed me that insurance would cover everything that was a LIE. The staff on the line said, I should wait for the claim to come back, and they do not know the timeline, alternatively I could just pay the statement balance $200 plus, they lied to me, falsified information and just wanted it paid, this is like STEALING from people. The only resolution being offered was, I am sorry. They know very well that if you do not pay, after a certain time you will be taken to collections, spoil your credit and still get paid. This is very unfair to people and I think most people do not even check how much they are being told to pay and they just charge the card, and continue falsfying information. Save yourself the headache and get a genuine, trustworthy place.

They're all friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It's so fun to hear the staff laughing and having fun while you're there; it's clear that they like each other and doing their job as a team. David is an excellent hygienist who is super thorough and gentle and always does an awesome job making my teeth look and feel great. Dr. Wang is an excellent dentist, very friendly; I've had to have one filling replaced with him (it cracked years ago, and he finally convinced me to replace it) and although it did get/stay a little sensitive for a while now it's perfect. He was really good checking in with me every time and giving me tips on how to help with the sensitivity issues. The front staff is usually very friendly and helpful as well. I've been going here for a few years and only had one incident that I can remember where maybe somebody was having a bad day (hey it happens to all of us!) :) all in all I definitely recommend going here for your dental care needs.

I switched to them over a year ago from the dental clinic my family had been going to for 30 years, and had been recommending that my family do the same because I loved the convenience, competence and friendliness at Almond. In May, almost two months ago, I went in for a quick exam to evaluate a sharp pain in one spot on one tooth. I saw Dr. Lam and she tapped around that tooth but couldn't find the spot that was causing my pain. The pain had only been there for around two weeks, which she said wasn't long enough to investigate further. She suggested it was from clenching my teeth at night and recommended a night guard. I have had brief episodes of clenching in the past and it results in a totally different dull jaw ache so I said I really did not think that was the issue. I also already have a night guard. I then proceeded to leave town for almost two months and decided to just avoid hitting that tooth until I could come back and have it checked out again. I had told them I might go to another clinic while I was out of town but ultimately decided to wait because I overall trusted Almond and wanted continuity. Last week, I scheduled an appointment for this afternoon. This morning, I got a call informing me that my appointment was being canceled because Dr. Lam didn't want to see me and none of the other dentists wanted to take over. All because I disagreed with her initial conclusion after a 10 minute exam, based on knowing what normal and abnormal pain is like in the teeth I've had for 25+ years. They don't stand behind the work they do or they do work that isn't a permanent fix. The first thing that the doctor said to me was I anticipated you coming back by they way we fixed your tooth the last time. If he knew I would be back, why didn't he suggest or fix the veneer so I didn't have to come back. Instead he let me leave with the idea that I would be back, either sooner or later. That tells me that they did the cheapest, easiest fix, and did not permanently fix the problem of my veneer falling out, and the chances of me having to return would be great and I would have to pay more money. Now he expects me to pay more money for sub par work that wasn't meant to be a permanent fix. Nobody explained any of my options and now this is the THIRD time I have to have this tooth/veneer replaced. Smiles Dentistry as a corporation name did the work, so smiles dentistry should fix the problem. The doctor basically told me to go find the original doctor that initially did the work and have him guarantee the work. This owner at Maple Grove did the work the second time and when I came in the third time his first statement was I figured you would be back. That doesn't tell me that he fixes teeth to permanently help the client. He fixes them to a level that is sub par and just do happens more beneficial for his finances. He told me I knew you would be back and that he didn't even have to look at the X-rays tells me that he KNEW what was going on my mouth was not permanent.
