We've been bringing our 4 yr old son here since he was 2. I really love how cheerful and caring the staff is and how they can put a very timid child at ease in the dental chair. We've seen Dr. Ashley and Dr. Kristen and they are both amazing. Warm, welcoming and cheerful. They have TV's on the ceilings so the kids can watch TV and it's the perfect distraction while they get their teeth cleaned. They give the kids tokens for doing a good job and then they can use those tokens to get a special prize out of a gumball-like machine. The waiting room is stocked with plenty of newer and clean toys to keep the kids busy while we wait. Happy to say that we never have to wait very long. My son usually wants to stay longer - at the dentist - to play. I already have an appointment to bring my 20 month old son in, too. read more

I don't know if it is possible for any child to love a dentist more than my kids love Dr Kristin! She is kind, patient, thorough, and extremely accommodating. After a recent appointment, one of my kids remarked "I really don't like going to the dentist...but it's not totally bad, because I love Dr Kristin!" My 2 year old's first dental visit could not have gone better. New situations and strangers are generally pretty upsetting for her, so even though there were a few tears it went really well. Everyone from the front desk to Jessica the amazing hygienist to Dr. Kristen did the best job making it a relaxed and kid friendly experience. I wish I could give Growing Smiles more than 5 stars! We were referred to Growing Smiles by our pediatrician. I had no idea what to expect taking my 2 year old to his first dentist appointment but the staff and Dr. Ashlee were absolutely wonderful and made the experience a dream! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. They took a picture of my son so he would have it as a memory of his first dentist appointment. He was a little scared to get in the chair at first but the dental hygienist was so patient, let him touch the tools and explained what they do and even put on one of his favorite shows so he could watch it as he sat in the chair. They even gave him stickers, a ball and a cute book to take home! I would absolutely recommend this practice and now looking forward to more visits in the future. read more

Made an appointment right away (added us on a Friday afternoon!) and were very accommodating. Wait time was minimal and staff are very friendly and professional. The environment is perfect for kids. My 3YO hates the dentist for no reason! He's been multiple times but never here. He enjoyed playing while we waited. When we went in he was in love with the TV on the ceiling and wasn't quite as scared as normal. He freaked out a bit when it was time for the exam, but Dr Ashley was amazing. She quickly figured out what he likes and used every reference possible to keep him calm. He was even laughing at one point! They took a photo and gave him a cute sign for his first visit there, and he loved getting a token to get a toy at the end. The staff was super friendly and engaging. Dr. Kristin is awesome. She is so engaging with the children and at the same time getting all of the work done! She's very upbeat and my 3 year old always leaves asking to go back to the dentist the next day. He also loves all of the toys in the waiting room! This review will mimic what a few other reviews have said - Dr. Kristin is wonderful, but her front office staff is horrible! My son does extremely well with her sunny and patient demeanor, and we really appreciate all the lengths she goes through to make sure the kids have a positive experience. The front office staff, however, always makes me feel like I am an imposition to them, even when I am just calling to schedule an appointment. They always seem like they are begrudgingly doing me a favor or something, even when they are just doing tasks associated with their job. Our son has an appointment coming up this summer, and unfortunately I think this will be our last visit there. It's a shame, because Dr.Kristin is very nice, but I just don't feel comfortable giving our money to a business whose staff seems so very unappreciative of its customers. read more

We just moved from Texas, and Dr. Ashlee made our transition super easy and friendly. My 2 and 5 year old were very pampered and checked, their dental records updated and treatment continued. My children were very happy and looking forward to return. Now, let me tell you how my 2 year old has had her share of dentist appointments in the past, and this is the first time she she has ever been so calm and happy. We had a fabulous experience with your office back in February of this year. My son had never been to a dentist before, and has always been very protective of his mouth and teeth. We had a good experience with Dr. Ashlee, and thought she was very quick, knowledgeable and professional, but I feel strongly that our hygienist Cynthia made a HUGE difference! She was so kind, patient and tender with her communication and actions towards my son that my jaw was legitimately dropped! He has always been terrified of any sort of examination, and our experience at Growing Smiles was the complete opposite thanks to Cynthia. She fluidly worked in both English and Spanish to make my son feel the most at ease. I cannot say enough great things about our experience there. I'm heartbroken that we are no longer covered there, but if anything changes we will be sure to return. Thank you!! read more

I love Dr. Kristen - I think she's great with kids, super-friendly, remembers us even though we only see her twice a year. Her staff, however, leaves much to be desired. I booked an appointment for both of my kids, with the stipulation we had to be done by 10 a.m. or so. The receptionist assured me we'd be done within an hour, but didn't mention that my kids would be getting their teeth cleaned at the same time - something that's impossible bc they both needed to calm them down while it's being done (which *has* to be a common occurrence at a pediatric dentist...). Anyhoo, we get to the office, and two hygienists each attempt to take a kid, which results in lots of crying. When I expressed concern that they wouldn't be able to do it, one of the hygienists replied that I shouldn't have double booked my kids - *which I didn't knowingly do!* Not pleased. To add insult to injury, I was then mistakenly given a bill for fluoride treatments, which the receptionist insisted was me (it wasn't). She later called back to correct the mistake, but didn't stop to check and see if she was in the wrong at the time she was giving it to me. Really unprofessional. All in all, a very crappy staff experience, but to her credit, Dr. Kristen did call later to figure out what had happened. Still not going back, though. read more

We brought our 2.5 year old daughter in yesterday for her first cleaning. All of the staff were so kind and patient with her! After the cleaning, she got to pick out a toothbrush, sticker and also got a book! So unexpected but she loved it. There is a little play area in the front which she got to play in and warm up before we went back for the cleaning. The dr showed her all of the tools before we started and was Fast & efficient w the cleaning. Already made our next appointment for 6 months down the road. I could not imagine anything that could make Growing Smiles better. The staff is kind and sensitive. Everyone knows exactly what kids need to feel comfortable. I love the focus that Dr Kristin has on prevention and making good choices for healthy teeth. The perks (TV shows during cleaning, stickers and a new toothbrush) are just wonderful bonuses on top of great care. And that Ariel gets her teeth cleaned here just made my daughter's day. My 3 yr. old son went to Growing Smiles for his first dental appt. The staff was very nice. Our dental assistants were extra kind and gentle with him. They explain everything and ask questions. They make the child's comfort level a priority. They have tv's on the ceiling and let the kids pick out a show off Netflix. They have fun stickers and toothbrushes. They give the kids a special prize from a machine at the end. We had Dr. Shah. She was wonderful. My son was nervous about visiting for the first time but they put him at ease and he did great. We will certainly be going back. They were behind and we had to wait which wasn't a huge deal. In advance of they meeting they emailed several forms. I would recommend having them printed and filled out when you get there. I did and it made the whole experience a lot easier. Great place! read more

We love Growing Smiles!! We have been going here for a little over a year and my 2 boys (4 and 8) love it here. My younger one was 3 the first time he visited Growing Smiles. We were a little nervous since he cried and wouldn't open his mouth for our other dentist, but, what a difference! Dr. Kristin is sweet, reassuring and wonderful with him. Not only did he open his mouth on the first visit, she was able to get off ALL the built up tartar on his lower teeth without a problem.
