Black bean burger on gluten free buns and French fries.
Donna C.

Excellent. Hamburger as delicious - my husband kept that so it must be true! I had a black bean burger on gluten-free bun. It was tasty but a tad salty for me, but I enjoyed it! French fries were thin and crispy. Great. Food was made to order. You walk up to place order and then you are assigned a table. We found that interesting but not off putting. They have a bar with beer on tap so that was a plus. Iced tea was good (bar has lemons and you'll need to ask if want thrmand they have typical fountain drinks. It was laid back with couples, families, young adults. Everything was clean and we will definitely stop in again when we are in the area.

Biggest mistake of this place is they should have asked me if I really wanted two patties. OMG! See the picture. If i had known, I would have just done the single. I actually removed one of the patties and saved it for later. The burger was delicious. Probably because TX beef. There was a Wagyu burger that was twice the price. If you are here in TX, don't bother with that, since it is all marketing and the standard burger using TX beef is succulent. I will be back to this place every night I am here.

There where quite a few things that went wrong with my visit to "Grub Burger Bar". The most alarming issue that we noticed was the restaurant was empty at 5:00 on a Saturday. That should have earned us about what we would encounter. We ordered and got our food, other reviews gave the impression the meals having good portions but they were wrong. The chicken on the chicken sandwich was about as thin as one of their fries, and was tasteless. The fries were quite possible the saddest thing I've ever seen. They looked like McDonald's fries if you let them rot outside for a few days. On our way out we saw a bug in the building and that was the most appatizing thing I saw during our stay. They had fast service on account of the zero people in the building.

Everything!!! We literally were trying to find a quick bite for our son who was participating in a basketball tournament. We were trying to stay away from greasy foods as well. When we got there we found something for us as parents, but my son was disinterested in the menu. Then DAWN (manager) swooped in and saved the day. She literally went to the back and came out with the perfect spread of grilled chicken breast, sliced oranges, boiled eggs, and a leafy salad. It was perfect and my son tore it up!!! I was so impressed with her effort to make him happy and all the food was delicious. Especially the salmon burger we ordered. I wish we had this food and level of service in Houston

THEY DESERVE 100 stars and more!! I loved my food but besides that the staff was outstanding. They were the sweetest people ever and I brought a dog from the shelter to eat and they welcomed her and brought her treats, water, and pet her and we felt so welcome here. I cannot recommend this place enough it was a highlight of my day how sweet they were to us.

Had gone in with a burger in mind, that is until I pulled the door handle and saw the salmon burger pictured. Ordered it instead of a burger, fries to go with and because it was happy hour I ordered chicken wings boneless I think (my son ate) and onion rings $5 each. It was a little messy and part of my bun got soggy and had to take off. Salmon itself wasn't super flavorful with seasoning, but great to have a salmon option when wanting a healthy option. I had my pickled onions on the side. Fries were great and tried the onion rings in the air fryer when I got home-delicious! Manager/owner said was originally on the menu pre COVID, but then added back as a temporary item, but it has been so popular that it's still available (not on the menu though). I enjoy going here, but I forget about its location, but will definitely keep it in my faves!

Outside seating, pet friendly. They brought out a bowl of ice water.

Great burgers and sides. Pet friendly (outside). Excellent service. Makes road trips enjoyable with friendly staff.

Mac 'N' Cheeseburger

Grub Burger Bar is a great place to grab dinner or dessert with friends. The first time I was here I ordered the Mac 'N' Cheeseburger, which is exactly what it sounds like - mac & cheese, cheese sauce, & bacon on a burger. I thought it might be too heavy, but it was actually a great combo! If you're super hungry this one is definitely for you. I also came by with friends for dessert to try their shakes. We all ended up ordering the Worms & Dirt, which comes with crushed Oreos & gummy worms. As someone who loves milkshakes and had "dirt" as a dessert growing up, it was amazing! I would definitely order it again.

Scorpion burger!
Michelle D.

EXCELLENT burgers! The scorpion burger is perfectly spicy but not too much so don't let the name scare you. Bar drinks came out a bit slow would be the ONLY thing I can think of if I had to give a negative.

Good burger and fast service. They also have a bar too, which I did not try and offer milkshakes . Its has a nice modern interior as well.

Old school country music playing. Creaky wooden floors. The one thing I CAN give the edge to Chicken Oil is the friendly and helpful staff! Because honestly..I've eaten at Koppe numerous times and literally every single time, the girls in the front are essentially snotty Sorority-type girls. Always different girls but always the same type. (Rude, eye rolls, zero friendly customer service). Maybe they need to hire staff based on personality and not how cute they are.

I used to live around Hempstead, Prairie view and Waller a couple years ago when I first came to Texas and it was kinda hard finding good places to eat ' I'm not gonna lie I was scouring yelp for about 30 mins before I stumbled across Burger House. I even got to the point where I asked some locals and they said Burger House was a burger staple in C station. Upon looking at the photos, it seemed like a burger that you make at the house to be candid. When I pulled up, I was like "oh wow this place look like a straight shack that's fasho." I decided to go through the drive-through & when I pulled up to the drive-through the gentleman who took my order was hella welcoming and just overall nice like he was happy I pulled up. I swear I was the highlight of my visit. I ended up getting the combo , bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink, and it was for decent price too. The burger itself was mediocre if I'm being honest, the meat lacked some seasoning, though the fries were pretty decent with a soft inside, light crisp outside. I like the fact they put the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on the side instead of in the burger which can make it soggy. So there was some attention to detail. The Bun though? That thang was soft on the outside and was lightly toasted on the inside, which was dope. Would I be back? If I'm being honest, just to say wasup to the gentlemen who took my order and that's about it!

We were BLOWN AWAY by the number of college students, dressed in their Sunday's best, openly praying over their food before enjoying some awesome chicken. It was SO NICE TO SEE! I had a slight "issue" where I thought my chicken wasn't fully cooked and the manager reassured me that it was just breading but happily remade my sandwich to give me peace of mind. I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." The size of my chicken on the sandwich was HUGE- had to be hanging off the roll by 2" on each side! Staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the laid back decor.
