This was previously a 5 star review from my experiences with customer service. I run a nonprofit horse rescue and get coupons from Purina for horse feed. I have frequent problems with them, but today was the worst. I was running behind and despite my clear communication that I was giving her 3 coupons (said 3 times), she only rung up one. We had already swiped the card, so she had to process a refund. I expressed I was running short on time and she said it would be quick. She then processed an EXCHANGE and called us "even" and wanted to ring me back up for the 2 coupons she had missed. So she wanted me to buy 2 bags of senior feed ($29) at full price, not need or get a real exchange, then pay the discounted price ($9) for the same two bags. At this point a manager (Jim) had come up and was backing her up saying it all made sense and that we were "even." Though I had been charged too much and not refunded anything and they wanted more of my money. I asked him for reassurance this wouldn't happen again and he just mansplained that the job was hard. No apologies, nothing. The customer service rep (Sheila) was the only thing that saved the situation by understanding the situation and taking over to help process our refund and get our coupons applied. I spend hundreds of dollars in this store weekly, and this situation has me considering finding a new feed store that actually supports nonprofits and the coupons we need to keep working. If I do go back, Sheila will be the only reason. I am extremely disappointed in this situation.

I own three Kenai chest holsters. I ordered another one for my Ruger 4.2" GP100 and it didn't fit…read moremy revolver. They don't have a way to contact them via email. I called them and explained this as I really wanted to know what the problem was since I wanted the holster for this gun. The guy said maybe they sent me the wrong holster and told me to return it for a full refund (which I did). I asked him if he would call me after receiving it back and let me know if they did in fact send me the wrong holster or if they made it wrong for my gun. If they just sent me the wrong holster I would have bought another one from them. I could tell he wasn't interested in calling me and he never did. You'd think small businesses would want to interact with the customers and figure out the problem for the customer and make another sale. Unless you're dealing with the owner, the employees don't really care. Since I didn't hear back from them I bought a new chest holster from Diamond D Leather.

They well Canada Goose coats that have coyote fur trim on the hoods. Canada Goose has a history of using fur they obtain from trappers. Animals who are trapped in the wild can suffer for days from blood loss, shock, dehydration, frostbite, gangrene, and attacks by predators. They may be caught in steel-jaw traps that slam down on their legs, often cutting to the bone; Conibear traps, which crush their necks with 90 pounds of pressure per square inch. They certainly don't need to sell fur at Escape Outdoors. I will never buy anything at this horrible store that support animal cruelty.

What's frustrating is that Escape Outdoors took the time to verify the coat's authenticity but still knowingly shipped a damaged product without notifying me. Customers shouldn't have to pay shipping and handling fees to return defective items, especially when purchasing a premium brand like Canada Goose. For an item that is advertised at full price, the customer expects the item to be in "pristine" condition. I like the products they offer but may have to reconsider other retailers for my next purchase.

Add to that encountering one of the rudest individuals to ever work in a customer service position. I'm told that my order has to be sent to my credit card's billing address: no exceptions. The reason? "Credit card companies are concerned with fraud..." Yes, they are, and when I suggested adding my bank's personal manager and fraud department as a conference call -- all of which have both my mailing address (used for billing) and my residence address -- required for both my charitable veterans' foundations' and trust accounts by the IRS as well as those three-letter federal organizations for a truckload of reasons -- to verify my identity, this fearful individual working in US Tactical Supply's customer service department rudely announced he was cancelling the order and hung up. Really? Ever since having my credit and personal identities stolen, I've had all financial correspondence sent to a post office box; the tiny, rural mail box -- some distance from my residence -- is NOT lockable; any packages larger than 5" on a side is left on the ground for any thieves that happen to drive by, especially the local porch-pirate methheads who also follow delivery trucks in order to enrich themselves. Having a package delivered to a residence that requires a signature is perfect, especially when I'm purchasing any of the items that can only be carried by rail or cargo aircraft. In fact, UPS, DHL, and FedEx all have my addresses cross-referenced: send an address label for something going to my US Post Office requires me to show my driver's license... which shows (and proves) my physical address, conveniently serving as my DELIVERY ADDRESS for those three companies. All three companies have my "billing" address, phone number, and (residence/physical) shipping address -- information which this US Tactical Supply customer service individual can almost immediately determine with a few keystrokes, especially because I have accounts set up for my personal, charitable foundation, and trust business... all this information consistent, across the board. The branch manager of the bank serving my personal, foundation, and trust business accounts has joined conference calls where verification of information has been required, and spoke with me a few minutes ago stating that had I added him to a conference call, he would be happy to provide US Tactical Supply with the verification necessary or needed; the bank's fraud department has two- or three-step verification processes that have allowed me, as an airline pilot traveling worldwide, to conduct business from anywhere in the world with any legitimate, verifiable business in the world -- with the one possible exception of US Tactical Supply. So I asked my personal banker (branch manager) to call this individual to see if we could work something out: he was hung up on. My attorney contacted US Tactical Supply to see if we could get the name and contact information of the owner of US Tactical Supply so that we could work out the problem. Why? He's my training partner spotter. He was hung up on. Someone should tell this individual that just because we use computers in business doesn't mean we should think like one. Either that, or maybe they've outlawed common sense, courtesy, and/or reasonability in Idaho.

I try a few putters but have my mind set on a specific putter. Went to the front counter and asked when the the stock order comes in. Takes the time to look it up and finds four of them in the warehouse.. unfortunately it looked like I was interrupting something more important. Begrudgingly he did go get them. Then checked out by a different associate. It was not busy. If I didn't have gift card I wouldn't have stayed. Bunch of kids looking for employee discounts and the customers are an inconvenience. Will not go go back! If you choose to use them, know exactly what you want because after the initial greeting from across the store you may not get any help.
