Never in my life have I eaten a boiled fajita. Like not one charred bell pepper, onion or shrimp. The sauce had no flavor. Tasted like tomato and black pepper, no salt. My daughter's asada tasted old as well.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location for an easy, casual bite to eat for lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]For dine in, you seat yourself at a table to be served and they also have takeout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried the fish tacos and the bean and cheese burrito- both were delicious and did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was friendly and the environment inside the restaurant is pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices feel a little high, but overall the food was good!

Salsa verde muy bien! Lunch specials 2 enchilada cheese and shredded beef. Very tasty! Fish tacos full, avocado quarters. Excellent.

Has to be "GOOD" being located in da South Side of Salinas, CA... - Complimentary chip and salsa / GOOD / PRICE IS JUST RIGHT. - Birria Tacos had good flavor. Kind of soggy though. Would be way more bomb if crisp up a little more so you can actually pick up without disintegrating. -Staff was cool. We had a larger than normal party (13 deep) and they were able to accommodate. Was attentive and got our entire order correct the 1st time. we were able to get a few drink refills along the way. IMPRESSIVE....LOL -[[HIGHLIGHT]]Not a bad spot to eat at if your find yourself in the Salinas for whatever reason....[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Comfortable spot in South Salinas next to Nob Hill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Choose between takeout and table service. Service was friendly and fast. And these are some of the freshest, best tasting fish tacos we've had in a long time! Everything was on point... Can't wait to return and try more!

My expectations were high for this place. Located in downtown Salinas, where they grow a significant portion of California's produce, I expected them to have fresh meat, vegetables, chips, salsa, everything... The food was ok, but compared to other taquerias, this food tasted like it was cooked earlier then reheated. (The food also came out a lot faster than I expected.) Also there was no salsa bar. I expected a full salsa bar since the crops are literally grown just a few miles away. I ordered huevos con chorizo and a carne asada burrito. The chips were a bit stale. They were sitting under a heat lamp. The staff was friendly and fast. They came back to check on us every 10 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of sitting and car parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a good place to visit if you are charging your car, but I won't detour to visit this place again.

My cousin recommended this place since this is their go-to Mexican spot in South Salinas. I was a bit worried since the reviews weren't super great and I know Salinas probably has high standards for Mexican food knowing the demographic. We ordered a take out order and I picked it up for them. The girl who helped me was nice. It was ready when I got there so it was a quick pick up. She also offered salsa in which I asked for both. They were all good, and definitely loved the spicier red one. My wet Al pastor burrito was honestly pretty filling and delicious! I was surprised! My partner liked his torta however, because it was a to-go order, it was a bit soggy after being inside the take out containers. I'd order from here again after my experience.

First timer, Got the Super Burrito......Super Disappointed. Al Pastor was dry like it was leftovers, the burrito looked sloppy, and it had too much beans and rice. I'm not 100% sure what comes in a SUPER but in this burrito it had lots of Beans and Rice, not enough dried up Al Pastor, lettuce, light sour cream, light cheese, and that's it! I won't be returning! Here's the pic of the inside of the burrito.

Had to wait for medication at nobhill so I came here and SO glad I did ! Im around there all the time and never went in. Staff friendly complimentary chips and salsa are always a win and they had a blue zone menu! Im vegetarian so I'll be coming in to try more of that menu.

Stopped by Guadalajara Grill after a Spartan race. We were really hungry for some good Mexican food and this place didn't disappoint. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail! The shrimp were delicious and fresh. As pictured you can see the portion size was huge and that was just the medium (also available in a large). I also ordered the 2 cheese enchilada entree with red sauce that included rice and beans. The tortilla could have been better - the edges were a little hard but other than that, I enjoyed my meal. My boyfriend raved about the fish tacos he ordered. He said the fish was fresh and tasty. I should also note that the place was very clean and the staff was inviting/friendly.

I've…read morebeen coming here for years, and one thing that has never changed is the quality of the food. Their housemade flour tortillas are second to none and easily some of the best I've ever had. My go-to burritos are the barbacoa and chile Colorado. Both are packed with incredible flavor and have never disappointed. They also offer a great selection of meats and fresh salsas, so there's something to satisfy just about everyone. The staff is friendly, hardworking, and always on the move. Even when they're busy, they keep things running smoothly and make sure customers are taken care of. It's the kind of place that brings together people from all walks of life, and there's a reason it's stayed so popular over the years. When a market/restaurant is this consistent, it's worth the drive. I travel 1 hour and 45 minutes just to get these burritos, and I'd do it again without hesitation. If you're anywhere near Salinas, make the stop. One bite, and you'll understand why El Charrito has earned such a loyal following.

9.75/10 Hands down…read morethe best burritos in the area, and honestly, some of the best I've ever had! I've tried the Breakfast Burrito, Asada, Carnitas, and Chile Verde, and they've all been worth coming back for. First off, the tortillas are absolutely to die for. They're easily the best tortillas I've ever had, soft, fresh, and packed with flavor. They honestly make the burritos stand out from anywhere else. Every burrito comes with the same traditional rice and beans, and they taste homemade. The beans, especially, are delicious. The Breakfast Burrito is a great way to start your day. It's simple with eggs, potatoes, and your choice of meat, but it's filling, comforting, and exactly what you'd want from a breakfast burrito. The Carnitas Burrito has great flavor, although the meat can be a little on the dry side and tends to stick to your teeth. I'd definitely recommend adding their salsa, which helps bring everything together and adds some extra moisture. The Asada Burrito is a classic and doesn't disappoint. The steak is flavorful, and it's a solid go-to option. I'd also recommend grabbing some salsa to take it up another notch. The real winner, though, is the Chile Verde Burrito. If you're only ordering one, make it this one. The pork is juicy, tender, and full of flavor, and the chile verde sauce is absolutely incredible. It's easily my favorite and the one I'd recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. My only critique is the size, I just wish the burritos were a little bigger because they're so good! Overall, this is one of those places I keep coming back to whenever I'm craving an authentic, flavorful burrito.

Drove two hours from the Bay Area to get there and it was totally with the trip. My son got the mole negro and I got the chile verde. Everything on both plates was authentic, delicious, and AMAZING. My son tried my chile verde and said it was the best he's ever tasted and I agreed. They were super busy because it was Mother's Day, but we were seated after a short wait and our waitress was super efficient and friendly. Several times during our meal someone checked to see if we needed anything. Not going to lie, we were a bit intimidated when we pulled up as there were no other non-Hispanic people in the large crowd outside waiting to be seated. I told my son that meant the food was definitely going to be good, but I was worried about how we would be received considering the political climate these days, but it wasn't an issue. Everyone was super friendly. Will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu.

The place was packed, which is always a good sign, yet the service was still excellent, very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I ordered the tlacoyos with chicken Milanesa, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken Milanesa was perfectly cooked, the queso fresco added great flavor, and the chile sauce had a nice kick without being overwhelming. I also tried the tamale Oaxaqueño, which was very flavorful with shredded chicken, a rich black chile sauce, and soft masa. It was much spicier than I expected, and unfortunately too spicy for me to finish, but you can tell it was made with authentic flavors. The tostadita Oaxaqueña was another tasty treat, fully loaded, fresh, and delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. I also had the atole, which was warm, comforting, and the perfect drink to balance the meal. Overall, Culturas gave me a memorable first introduction to Oaxacan food. If you enjoy bold, authentic flavors and don't mind some heat, it's definitely worth trying.
