Delightful place with outdoor seating. Hubs and I came here after arriving to Va beach hungry and late at night. We strolled for some food options but this place caught our eye . It was the one place that was busy , served food, and had plenty of drink options. They immediately served us chips and salsa which was tasty. Hubs had the chimichangas and loved it. He enjoyed the wonderful white meat chicken even better than the beef chimichanga. It was such a good portion that he couldn't top it off all the way. I had the chicken taco salad. It was delicious! The chicken was excellent quality, all white meat (my fave) and plentiful. We asked for hot sauce and they brought out a bowl of house made spicy sauce. We ordered the Mole Chicken and the Carne Asada. My partner liked the Mole Chicken, but the Carne Asada was terrible. It had absolutely no flavor, and it had a lot of fat on it. Two large Latino families were dining here; that just reaffirms that this place serves authentic dishes! All of our enchiladas were filled to the edges with huge CHUNKS of chicken and the cheese enchiladas were stuffed, not flat like at some other places! Terrible service and attitude. Good food. Hostess was sitting on a bench on her social media when I came in. I did not know she was the hostess. Asked to sit at the bar for lunch. The restaurant was almost empty and the bartender abandoned the bar while I was waiting to pay my check. After about 10 minutes, and seeing no wait staff, I asked the hostess if I could get my check. The bartender appeared and told me that I aggressively waived my hands at her and raised my voice. He told me that I am not to ever approach the hostess nor talk to her during my meal. We talked with the hostess and I asked her if I waived my hands or was rude to her. She was embarrassed and told me that I was aggressive but admitted I did not waive my hands at her. There is no way in the wide wide world of sports that even the most sensitive snow flake in the world could have construed my interaction as aggressive. This is a very low key restaurant by the beach. By all means not a fancy place, but instead a Wonderful place to sit back, enjoy the weather and have a nice big cold drink. We had a Pina colada, lime Margarita and a mango Margarita I believe. All were absolutely delicious! They serve free nachos and salsa with whatever you order, which is always a nice touch. The service was great for us. They were quick to come by and take our order, regularly checked up on us, brought our food and drinks out promptly, and were overall very friendly people. I ordered a side of fries which comes half regular, half crinkle cut. Crinkle cut ones turned out wonderful and crisp while the regular fries came out a tad soggy. Just got to town. Passed this place on our way to check in the hotel and dip our toes in the icy cold water. We took a table outside like everyone else. Since we are at 50% capacity from CoVid 19, first day the beach is open too. Anyway, back to this place...GO EAT here! The speed of service was excellent. I ordered a hurricane, but since they just reopened, our server said they didn't have all the menu items available, so I opted for Mountain Dew. About 4 glasses of it. Please start off with their guacamole. I added a picture. It's amazing. Basically all the ingredients but not smashed, which may be better than I would have ever imagined. I used a fork and loaded up my chip. By the way, we downed 3 bowls of salsa and 2 baskets of chips before our food came out. And honestly, we ordered and got our food so fast, I felt like we were the only ones there. They turned tables and got people in and out like a 50% capacity restaurant should. Prices were reasonable and we ended up bringing half our dinner back to the hotel room with us. 2 adults with the guacamole appetizer plus our dinners was only $41. I stopped in a few days ago in the afternoon for chips/salsa/queso and a margarita. I ordered a top shelf margarita and the server seemed confused. I reiterated my order and pointed to it on the menu. She looked at the menu for a minute and said she'd get it right out. The margarita I was served tasted like a pre-mix, or like it had some funky sour in it. When I got my check I saw a "house margarita" on the bill, which explains the pre-made taste. I was disappointed though that she didn't ask the manager for help if she wasn't sure how to make the drink I ordered from their menu. (Its worth noting I didn't say anything about the charge or the margarita, I chose to just pay and head out). The queso was good, your typical white cheese dip. The salsa was watery and bland and my chips were a little over fried. I probably won't be back, there has to be better options for margaritas somewhere else. As an aside, as I was leaving a woman came in that clearly had a drug problem and was definitely on drugs at the time. I was glad to see the manager immediately come out to intercept her instead of one of the younger serving staff there, it speaks to the type of management they have in a positive way, in my opinion. read more

The manager tried to help her, I wasn't sure if it was because she just started or if there was a language barrier(which she can't control) but he was trying to accommodate. Then when she left she kept forgetting the favors we asked such as inquiring about the menu. The food was very bland and not appetizing.
