We stopped by mainly because I was craving their salsa blanca dip, which they seem to only have in Virginia. This location was convenient since we just left the Oceanfront and it was only a short drive getting there. I know they've expanded to several locations over the past few years, but the original spot off Princess Anne Rd, is still my favorite. There's just something about the vibe there - it feels more authentic and relaxed compared to the newer ones. For my meal, I ordered the al pastor and carne asada tacos. They were pretty standard and overloaded with cilantro. Asides from that, the flavor was good enough for a casual lunch. The star of the show were the margaritas which set our meal over the top and had a really nice kick to it! Overall, it's a laid-back, place. Even with all their new locations, the original still hits differently, and I'll definitely be back again soon.

Large Sunday lunch party. Enjoyed outdoor seating with chips and salsa; not a fan of overly sweet white sauce. Lunch menu was above average price for lower than average quality/portions compared to other Mexican restaurants we frequent. Check out El Azteca in Norfolk or La Hacienda in Chesapeake. Our sons loved getting tortilla shells with Arros con pollo ($16, 3/5 stars). Wife liked her burrito bowl ($15, 3.5/5 stars). Service was good considering our 12 person group size.

Me and my coworkers often come to this establishment to hang out in the outside patio area to eat, drink, and play our board games. And I tell you the people here at Las Palmas put up with us! Nicest people ever. There are some good food and drinks here as well. To start they make their own fresh guacamole dip in front of you table side. How great is that? My entree of choice is the Sizzling Steak and Shrimp Fajita. That hits all the right spots after a long day at work. From what my coworkers tell me the Strawberry Margarita is amazing. I really am simple and just drink Coronas so I'll definitely take their word for it. There are so many options on their menu you really can't go wrong. Most items are around $16-$20 which is fair considering how well everything is cooked and the portion you are getting in your meal. Margaritas range anywhere from small to Mega size. So definitely come out here with an appetite because you'll need it!

Went with a group of friends and had an amazing time! We started by sharing the queso fundido and really enjoyed it. The cheese was bubbling and it had lots of chorizo. I had the Molcajete as my main and it is probably my new favorite Mexican dish! It had so many meats: shrimp, steak, chicken and smoked sausage. It also had fried stuffed jalapeños. I really enjoyed the nopales, grilled cactus, which were similar to green peppers, but had more of a tangy taste. The best part was that all of the above was sitting a bed of warm melted cheese. Service was also excellent. Our server was very helpful and the food came out so fast. Highly recommend!

This was maybe our third or fourth time ordering from this location. It was extremely tough getting through to them on the phone. But after about five tries I got through and was able to order. The taste of the food was very good, however it was completely sloppy and out of place. We don't live far and we were careful in transporting so I feel it was just put together quickly. For the prices I try not to purchase from here for Mexican food but bc it's the closest to us we do it every once in while. This review is solely about to go orders. We have not sat inside to eat.

My daughter and I thought we would branch out from our usual favorite Mexican food... and we sadly regretted our decision. The atmosphere is typical "Mexican " decor. The service was slow -

So I've had take out from this location and I've dined in, I will say I probably preferred the take out. Take out was ready promptly and pick up was super easy. The food is very good, pretty typical stuff for a Mexican restaurant in Hampton Roads. You get bottomless chips, salsa, and white sauce. They put us in a very small booth that didn't give us a ton of room, but it was fine. The wait staff were very friendly but we had to wait quite a while for our drinks and then for our food to come out. The quesabirria was very good, but the tortilla was just a bit soggy :/ Everyone else really loved their food - they got the fajitas and a chicken torta. The restaurant was very very loud also with lots of singing, so if that's not your thing maybe avoid this spot :D

A spur of the moment decision to get Mexican food had us here at Las Palmas 3 one night around 9pm. The restaurant was quite busy and noisy upon our arrival, but the staff were in great spirits and quickly took our orders. My boyfriend ordered a jumbo lime margarita which was strong ! He enjoyed it. He drank it while we waited for our meals to come out - and we munched on the chips, dips, and queso. The chips always came out piping hot and the cheese dip was tasty with a bit of spice. I also enjoyed their white sauce! Our meals - his Burrito Grande, a cheese-smothered burrito stuffed with shrimp and peppers, and my 3 shrimp tacos topped with cabbage and pico with 3 tasty dips (I wasn't really sure what they were, but they were spicy!) - came out after about 20 minutes, which was decent timing given the volume of patrons at the restaurant. He loved the burrito - the shrimp was cooked perfectly and it was all around very flavorful and filling. My shrimp tacos were pretty good - I got guacamole salad to top my tacos with lettuce and other non-traditional toppings and a side of sour cream which was a generous size. The tacos themselves were pretty small. They were pretty good but pricey as well. Honestly, everything was pretty expensive. Overall, this was a pretty good experience as they were open, close-by, and the service was great. I may only find myself here again if it's the only option, though.

(Sorry for the side pic) this was the lunch chicken fajita burrito in a cheese sauce. Loved it!

We came here on a whim because they other restaurant we chose was a dive, dirty and limited menu. We were so glad because as soon as you step into Las Palmas, the music, chatter and laughter was abundant. We were seated immediately and served a delicious white sauce, excellent salsa and table side guacamole made fresh. We ordered the lunch specials, fajita burrito with chicken, fajita burrito with steak and the lunch fajitas. Our waiter, Mauricio was excellent and very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's a must when you're in the Virginia Beach area. I can't say enough good things about this food and service!

Here's the deal: Jessy's is located in a small shopping strip. While the building is a little older I did not think l it run down or in a part of town that I would consider questionable at all. I saw at least one review that noted this- could not disagree more., nothing to fear here. Plenty of parking and it's free! Once inside the restaurant is medium sized with seating for at least 15 parties and tables that can accommodative larger parties, 10+ people. There are two order stations at either side of the restaurant - one for hot food the other for ice cream and desserts. Service was friendly and attentive. You can choose to self order for takeout or be waited on. While staff wait on and bring you food and drink, pay is self pay at the food order counter. The menu is larger and has something for everyone. Proteins are optional for nearly every dish. The food here is authentic with lots of protections including some of my favorites- Al pastor and chicken tinga. Chips and salsa are scratch made and fresh- very good. We had street tacos which were very flavorful and also scratch cooked including the corn tortillas. Served with traditional hot sauces to add that little extra heat- awesome. The Al pastor was not grilled to get that char that some Al pastor dishes have but was otherwise spot on. Chicken tinga was perfect. If you are looking for authentic Mexican at reasonable prices, this is your place and absolutely worth a few minutes drive over. Hope to see you there sometime- happy eating!

Happy hour was 3-6pm I think, and there were 2 taco specials on the board. I'm not sure if it was valid or not.. There was one person at the bar taking orders, serving drinks, and pretty much running the place. She was very busy. The anxiety of watching her try to handle everything made me a little uncomfortable. She was doing her best, and kuddos to her for not flipping a table and walking out. She was nice, but she asked us every 3-4 minutes if we knew what we were ordering. It was very aggravating. I don't think she realized after several times we were over it. The inside is pretty much a bar setting with a few booths. It's very dated and low-key kind of gloomy inside. I'd say this is a bar for locals, not really a restaurant. It's definitely the kind of food you could eat if you had a few drinks, maybe. But sober, heck no!! Lol. Ugh. I was excited to try them because they have some 5 star reviews, but it wasn't what I expected. When it was time to eat she went and got the cook from outside. We ordered 2 burgers and fries, and chicken nachos. We left and came back to pick up our order and the seats at the bar was packed at this point. The waitress met us as we walked in, with our food. I was hungry, so I tried the food in the car. The burger was definitely a frozen patty and thick as heck. It looked decent kinda sorta, in a way, maybe, just a little bit. Idk what to say. The fries were crispy but awkwardly greasy!! There was one tiny tomato on my burger and a huge onion that was a little moldy. I've never seen someone use a slice of onion this big on a burger. The burger definitely needed seasoning. I think if it had flavor it would have been decent. I'll give the burger a 4/10. My sister got the chicken nachos and she was not happy. Whatever mystery beans they had made were disgusting. They tasted old or something was off about them. The guacamole was a little sour tasting also, and the chicken was flavorless. She tried so hard to make it work, she even re-cooked the beans and it just didn't help. 2/10!!! She spent $25 and felt it was the worse decision she made all day. I wish I was exaggerating or something, but this is actual factual. The prices are reasonable, I'll say that. But it's definitely certain things to stay away from on the menu. I don't think we'd ever return. Maybe the tacos are better than what we had ordered. If you're looking for a drink maybe things would be better. I think they specialize in drinks over food!?

Will not be doing that again. The ambiance was chill a few of those slot games bar area in the middle of the place a few tables around it nothing to really hype up. I will say even though we didn't care for what we had, maybe it was a bad day. ‍ Who knows other things may be good if we stop past that beauty store again, I'd go and try the lumpia or fried fish taco. Was told that they taste really good. lol honestly y'all go be the judge for yourselves could have been an off day.
