They really are fried to perfection. Frituras de Maiz: (10/10): Wow, these fritters are also amazing. They come with such a rich sauce. The fritters are exploding with flavor. Cazuela de Coliflor Asada (9/10): Insanely good dish. The cauliflower has perfect texture, complemented by the pistachios. The sauce is SO good. The cauliflower soaks it up so well. Chicharrones (9/10): Melt in your mouth pork belly. The pork skin crust was perfect. The sauces really make most of the dishes here. This dish is no different - I loved the sauce. Ropa Vieja (9/10): Perfectly slow cooked meat. One thing that really stood out to me was actually the white rice. The rice was VERY high quality, and I appreciated it so much. The staff is very welcoming and helpful when choosing from the menu. We started with coffee made with condensed milk. It was creamy and lightly sweet. It was very smooth and enjoyable. It took a little while to come out and wasn't super hot but it was a nice cup of coffee. Next we tried the chorizo empanada. It was very crisp and flavorful although a little greasy from the sausage. Still a nice bite. Yuca fries were up next. I dislike yuca and was hesitant to try it but I did and it didn't disappoint. It came with a garlic aioli and topped with onions and possibly a vinegar sauce. They were so delicious. Crisp outside and soft inside. Defiantly something to try.
