A fun food truck option, empanadas are an easy thing to eat when craving an easy meal. I got to try them on a visit to Howzit Brewing, but I know they move around. Their big and filled with great portions for a reasonable price. The shell is crispy and flavorful. The only drawback was they were so greasy, which also imparted that flavor. The people working at the truck were very friendly, orders made quickly. I loved the side sauce, so definitely get that if you're trying it. Bonus, cute sticker logo!

It was delicious that's all I need to say about them! Thanks for popping up in town :) Their shredded beef empanada was delicious and that garlic lime sauce just is the perfect compliment! Will always make it a point to order when I see them! They took my order and were friendly! They have a truck now and it looked decked out and ready for more pop-ups. Was lucky I was able to try it since I was told they always sell out :o

Venezuelan empanadas made by immigrants from Venezuela with the key ingredient, the corn and wheat flour imported from Venezuela. The size of your hand, hot and fresh from the fryer, not excessively oily, crisp and filled with meaty, juicy goodness. The beef and chicken with cream cheese hit hard but it's all about the pabellon criollos (beef, plantains, and black been stew) or the related colab with Nana Ai Katsu, churry (a blend of bean and beef chili with Japanese style pork curry) that will make you come right back for more. Say yes to the sauce to go with. It adds a creamy, herbaceous finish that readies the palate for more. Popping up around the island. Follow on IG. A worthwhile use of stomach real estate on the next food crawl through Hawaii's ever evolving transient food scene.

She was the sweetest! I got one of every flavor empanada and each one was so good. The sauce is a must! It really cuts the oil and adds a refreshing flavor to it. They were hot and crispy.

This is the best empanadas I have! The flavor is perfect and love I can taste the corn flavor of the tortillas

We tried their newest chocolate cake & flan creation!! Yummy!!!

Guaiqueri Empanadas Food Truck makes the most amazing empanadas, Guasacaca sauce and a beautifully rich and moist chocolate cake topped with a smooth flan. We tried their chorizo empanadas, and also their chicken and cream cheese, empanadas. The owners are very kind and the food is a flavorful mix of everything your mouth and belly have always wanted to taste from Venezuela. We found their food truck on the corner of University Ave and Coyne street. It's definitely a food truck that you need to experience in Honolulu.

    Chicken with cream cheese

Chicken with cream cheese is amazingly delicious! It's fresh fried so crispy outside and flavorful inside. Also the source has authentic flavor to give it a kick.:)

They do pop-ups every now and then at the CPB Tidepools Marketplace. Always cooked fresh...hot and crispy! She is always friendly and has many regular customers coming for her pop-up. This is my 2nd time trying her empanadas and 1st time trying it with the sauce! Must get that sauce! So yummy!

The first time I tried these, I drove to her place in Waikiki to pick up. Since then, she's expanded and does meet-ups all ova da island. This is great, since I'm rarely in Waiks, anymore. The owner does a fabulous job of keeping her IG up to date, with different flavors, specials, how-to-order, and meet-up locations and dates. The most recent time we ordered was for the Salt Lake meet-up, and it did not disappoint. Side note, these are best enjoyed fresh (obviously), but if you're taking them home, they taste just good if you just throw them in the air fryer for a little bit. So far, my favorites are the shredded beef (a classic, pretty much stays on the menu) and the chicken with cream cheese (a special, but it's recurring). All empanadas are not created equal, so here's what to expect with these. Each darling is pretty large--I'd say about as large as my hand. That said, one person could probably eat 2-3 and feel pretty satisfied. The dip that comes with is very refreshing, tho I'm most of a heat person, so I wish I could have this plus something spicy. Speakin' of, I know she has recently added another special to the menu, a spicy shrimp, so of course that's the next one I'll be trying! The owner is very accommodating and answers questions via her DMs. Great new addition to the foodie scene!

    AMAZING empanadas!

Venezuelan cuisine…read more.. It's so hard to miss this vibrant truck with the cute smiling Arepas flashing a Shaka holding a Venezuela flag, and this newbie is the one to find as you must follow them on Instagram @arepas_hawaii and view their stories for locations feels like an exclusive secret spot. Well I found them in Kaka'ako right beside Milky Way Truck right along side Mother Waldron Park and yes it piqued my curiosity and though I do see on their instagram with menu items including empanadas as well though today it seems to be a selected Arepas seven varieties to be exact (Pollo, Pernil, Carne Asada, Spam, Pabellon and Vegetariana). Arepas are ground corn patties grilled and typically are enjoyed like bread are stuff with various fillings and my Pollo (shredded chicken) was stuffed beyond belief along with queso cheese was so enormous she apologize as it was impossible to close the container lol! The chicken was very moist and flavorful not spicy or loaded with sauce though it's standardly comes with cheese you're able to pile on the toppings by adding extras like more cheese or four types of salsa for +$2...oh my gosh what a fun and generous portions she serves here...it's all love! Thank you!

Was going to order an empanada, 2 drinks and arepa but they said $38. Paid $20 for 2 drinks and 1 empanada instead. Boy o boy did I regret it! $3 for each bottle water?! So that makes the empanada $14?!....lets talk about it! I understand your an arepa truck. But this empanada seems like is made with the same dough as the arepa but just fried. It was so gross and mushy. On top of it the price that was crossed off said $7 under it. I figure, maybe price change is like....$8/$9. Sheesh $14? That's a big difference. Basically paid double. Wasn't even worth it. It was so gross and lacked any flavor. Took me 3 bites to get into the center where the meat filling was. First and last time I'll be eating here!

My husband and I had the carne asada arepa on our first visit, and today I tried the Pabellón Arepa with shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains, and cheese. They also offer a house-made chimichurri that takes the flavor to another level. Let me just say--this place puts love into every dish they make. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and every visit was met with warm, friendly customer service. To finish our meal, my daughter and I shared the coconut and mango slushies, which are made with natural ingredients and were incredibly refreshing. As someone who is Hispanic and pretty picky when it comes to authentic Latin food, I can honestly say this exceeded my expectations. The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant also has a charming atmosphere with Venezuelan memorabilia that gives it a warm, welcoming vibe. If you're looking for high-quality Latin food made with care, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed! We will def be back at our next trip - didn't get to try the arepa with chicken, avocado and green salsa. Mahalo Miss Arepa!
