#13 review for 2019. Flavor: The homemade chili with chips tasting was the perfect thing to try their many hot sauces on. Ambiance: There were cute chili shaped lights that were strung in the booth and walls decorated with street signs like "severe addition ahead", "flammable", "fire hazard", and "chili at work" that added a sense of humor to the decor. Value: As it was a free Y event, I can't provide an opinion on the value of the tasting. The chili rice/nacho is $6. Service: The staff was very friendly and offered us any of the hot sauces to taste.

So sad that Ohana Hale Marketplace is closing! This gem of a shop not only sells spicy goods galore, but also takeout food. I usually stop by for pepper jelly but left with a few other goodies since the Marketplace is closing. Tried the butter chicken and utilized the combo deal to pick up a kiawe smoke and a reaper hot sauce. Every interaction with the owner and her family has been pleasant which makes me a happy repeat customer. Looking forward to follow this business on social media to see what they do next.

Hmmmmm cute tiny venue. Ohana marketplace on ward! Interesting storefront. Tons of little items and hot sauces! Menu with Indian and Mexican food. I was getting confused what to order! They recommended the butter chicken. I've been on a Indian food thing... so I relented easily! Asked if I wanted cilantro and a cucumber condiment. I definitely recommend. I got a mini, came with rice, chicken and topping. Honestly reminded me of the lightest yellow curry chicken I've ever had. Barely spiced. I liked the cucumber though because the bites of it gave a light citrus clean taste to the curry. Personally I needed more heat. But it was good and the service was great. Friendly, informative, and quick. Well packed with a great homemade flavor. Totally support!

Bev of Chili In Hawaii has since added to her menu. While there are daily specials, she can pretty much make everything if she has the ingredients. She also can easily alter her dishes to your preferences if ingredients are available or removable. Most dishes are available in half or full sizes, $6 & $10. Here's a list of items from the menu. Tostadas are my new favorite. Smothered Burrito, Chili Rellenos, Mexi bowls, Soft Tacos, Taco Salad, Nachos, Chili Rice/Dog, Fijian Curry, Portuguese Bean soup, Turkey Dinner, Chowder, Mochiko Chicken Donburi and more.

Chickpea curry 1/2 size $6 and this boy is full! Very good flavor, healthy alternative. I like meat but this was perfect too!

Follow up cause I forgot to add. I didn't see much of the reapers in her stock. I have the F1 pods straight from the creator and will try to supply stock to Hawaii for more halung creations. Right now it will only be used in my whiteboykimchee, till the plant strain is more stable.

Delicious ono food at a affordable price!!! The portions is really generous and the owner is super nice. Definitely coming back again.

If you google this and it tells you there at the Swap Meet , they have moved !! I tested these flavors out and i like them alot ! They were helpful enough to ship them to me ! Guava is Mild..Kiawe is Medium Hot.. and Habenero Ghost Garlic is Hot. I dont review much . But i thought the people were Nice and and shipping was fast .

    The label says it all.

It's a small restaurant that has the maximum capacity of 15-20 people guests. Each appetizer's portion can be shared with about 2 people (if you don't want to eat too little of each serving). Price was reasonable for average level of dining in a small restaurant. Each curry order is for a guest, which comes with a bowl of rice. I believe you can have them to serve additional rice if you feel your curries need more rice. For 2 people, maybe it's better to order at least 2-3 naans (Indian bread that can be eaten with curry as well) We ordered Rogan Josh, Saag Paneer, Tadka Biryani, Tadka Tandoori, and other different types of curries and naans. I feel the curries with the lamb, I couldn't taste much of the lambs like some other Indian cuisine places I tried before. I personally prefer to have a bit more lamp smell and taste instead of curries cover most of its taste. The curry I like the most there were Saag Paneer (color looks different from the rest of curries we ordered, feeling it was more unique, and I enjoyed the cheese inside as well) My friends and family really enjoyed their naans. Staff are all nice, friendly, and courteous. Pleasant experience to dine there with friends or family. Will definitely go again in future time.

We got them medium and they weren't too spicy. My husband got the lamb Rogan Josh extra spicy and he loved it. The garlic naan and samosas were also delicious. Everything was so good. I waited patiently for the restaurant was full and there were patrons, people waiting for take out and uber drivers in and out. I took a seat and waited and waited. The staff was cordial and polite. My issue was when I went home. I ordered the lamb rogan dish which had literally 2 one inch pieces of meat and the rest was sauce. I mean, I loved the flavor and loved the sauce but 2 pieces of meat? You charge a hefty price for this. I feel at least 5 pieces of meat and sauce would be ok for the price we pay. Anyhow, the rest of the meal was absolutely delicious.

We requested that our dishes be prepared with a milder spice level, which turned out to be a great choice because we were able to fully appreciate all the wonderful spices and flavors. We ordered the special mixed kebab biryani platter, which included shrimp, chicken, and lamb served over a bed of biryani rice. The presentation was impressive! We also ordered the fish tandoori, which came in a flavorful curry sauce that my family absolutely loved. As a special treat, the chef prepared another fish dish for us in a coconut curry style. The taste was immaculate--rich, savory, and incredibly satisfying. We couldn't stop dipping our stuffed cheesy naan into the curry sauce. None of us wanted that dish to end--we wished we had ordered more! A nice bonus is that many of these special dishes can be made upon request. Just contact the restaurant ahead of time, and they will gladly prepare them for your visit. Our servers were fantastic as well. They constantly made sure we were taken care of, refilling water, bringing extra napkins, and providing boxes when needed. With the new décor in place, the restaurant feels bright, welcoming, and inviting. It is a smaller space, so tables are fairly close together, but that only adds to the cozy atmosphere--you might even make friends with fellow diners. Overall, Cafe Maharani continues to be my go-to spot for authentic Indian cuisine!

It basically is one of the vendors in the food hall and you order and eat at one of the shared tables. Has to be as authentic as it gets. They have a pretty good selection. A lot are made with meat but there's some that aren't. It's $12 to get one item. Taro And Squash Fusion was the one for vegans. Items change up daily so keep on checking back. The food hall can have a bad smell like fish but it's not always like this. Also there's some outdoor seating in the courtyard. This allows groups to order from different vendors and eat together in one place. Good place to get some authentic Indian and Nepalese food. It's closed Mondays. There's plenty of things for meat eaters as well as for vegans and vegetarians.
