This place just to be only Mexican food but now they are a Dominican/Mexican food and OMG !!'n the food is delicious. I now have a place where I could real Dominican food and they know what I'm talking about when I tell them the drinks and food from my country and they have it. The staff are really nice and the atmosphere and decoration are nice as well. I really like the table you sit onto they really fancy. They have 2 menus you could choose if you want Mexican food or Dominican food. I've been to this restaurant before when it was just a Mexican restaurant and their portion were big. I have place some pictures and hopefully a video ( if it goes through). I will be returning back to this place.

    A ramen bowl?!

There's a lot of family restaurants on Capital Blvd. checked this one out with my dad, and got the special ramen bowl. Yes, at a mexican place. For how crazy food is in Mexico, I'm happy to see a restaurant in NC take a chance on a dish like this, and know that the locals will appreciate it. Staff was nice, though they will upsell you hard and check in often. It's understandable, considering their location and long hours, they are trying to make sure everyone gets paid. Seems like on the weekends they have a reputation for birthday parties because I think there were four of them all at the same time! It got pretty noisy. Hectic, kinda pricey, but would go again. Would go again. Open late.

    Burnt fajitas.

Worst food ever . Service was trash food was burnt . No exaggeration got the fajita everything was burnt the cook had smoke all in the restaurant . Shit was ass to be honest . Never coming back and charged 18% tip for trash

When we got there we got sat down immediately, which is great however, the first table that she tried to sit us at the seats were wet and she moved us to a different one , however , there was a smell not sure if it was at the table or around the area, but it smelled like dirty bathroom water. There was a speaker right above us, and it seemed like it was blown out, throughout the whole visit They were playing music and that one speaker was just blown sitting right on top of us, the noise coming out of it was awful. Our waitress was super nice and friendly and was very attentive cannot complain. My husband and I went with our three kids two of the kids didn't even order a meal only drinks. I noticed on the menu it said a 18% gratuity will be automatically added to tables of six or more or $200 or more. After paying and leaving an additional tip, we realize that our waitress had added the 18% gratuity already on our check.!!! do not like the fact that they try to take advantage thinking we might not speak English and our check was not $200! Not sure if I would return just b/c of that, the food was actually pretty good!

Awesome homestyle Mexican food with humongous portions- come hungry, leave full and with leftovers. I was hoping to try their churros, but their fare was too yummy to leave room. I went with their chimichanga and queso as an app, and would recommend both to anyone and everyone- especially the queso. Their cheese is on point and their homestyle chips (and house salsa -complementary) are bomb.com. 5/5 stars - would def come back next time I am in Raleigh.

I love this place! Absolutely love it! Mexican is pretty much my favorite cuisine and this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Firstly the food...oh my goodness so good and for a great price. There are so many options is can be a bit overwhelming, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and cooked well and the portions are large! I usually get an order of the choriqueso (chorizo in the queso) which isn't available everywhere. I love chorizo (a slightly spicy Mexican sausage) so if a restaurant has it I'm going to get it. Then my usual is the nachos with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken is so fresh and the portion is huge! I either have to share or split it over a couple meals. Even the take out portion is large. It comes standard with queso, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and grilled full jalapeños. The salsa and chips are unlimited and also fresh. Next the service and operating hours. The service is always great and fast and everyone is friendly and helpful. Their hours are unheard of for any other restaurant. They are open pretty much 24 hours on the weekend. Seriously they are. Great after a night out when you don't want cookout or breakfast food. I've been on a few occasions around 2-3 AM and I've seen a mariachi band (that's good) and people steadily flowing in. Lastly, why I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars..the drinks. I usually don't order drinks because I usually go early morning hours (after a night out) or get my food to go), but the last time I went I ordered a Jamaican (hibiscus) margarita on the rocks with no salt. Although the presentation and price were great, but the drink was not tasty. It was so strong that all I could really taste was tequila. I appreciate a strong drink but the flavor was not good. My friend got a pina colada and it was the same thing. Very strong to the point that it didn't really have a lot of flavor. I'm definitely willing to give the drinks another try, but I did not enjoy them.

The music is so loud for no reason, you can't even have a simple conversation without yelling across the table. Los meseros tienen un actitud feo, están en su celular envés de atender la gente. Se ve todo de la cocina, hasta cuando están metiendo la mana en los chips para comérselo. And to top it off they all hang around the host table and just gossip. I'll come back and let you guys know how the food taste. The food was pretty good, it matched the pricing. And it was a good enough portion for it as well.

You can never get enough Mexican eats and when you've got a place like Tacos y Mariscos Vallarta open 24 hours a day, you've also got no excuses! Located in a brightly colored building on Cap Boulevard, I was finally able to stop in for an early lunch. Inside you'll find that the place reeks of authenticity, patrons are mostly latino which is always a good sign to me. The smallish lunch menu is the basics, tacos, burritos and more, I go off the usual path and do a mochaca con huevo which is basically a beef and egg scramble. While the lunch prices at Tacos y Mariscos is a touch higher than I'm used to, when my plate comes out I understand. It's a ton of food, lots of beef and egg, beans, rice, avocado slices, jalapenos and some tortillas to munch it down with. The meal is really quite good and service excellent so I was a happy boy. So gosh, Tacos Y Mariscos Vallarta, I can't believe this is my first meal here. As much as I still love Los Cuates, this place is another good option for Mexican in the area, don't miss out!

    Chicken and steak tacos

Went for date night and was so disappointed that we did. I got carne asada and pollo tacos. The chicken was dry and I gave up trying to doctor them up to eat it. I ate one of the steak ones but that was with the help of lots of hot sauce (green stuff in pic). It was dry. I had a strawberry margarita that tasted like pure mix and I'm sure there was zero alcohol in it. Very nice waitresses. Very bad food. I felt bad that my date still paid for the food.

    Pork Carnitas and Beef Tamales

During the stay at home order because of Covid-19 my husband and I have really been craving Mexican. So I was extremely excited to hear that they were open given the circumstances!! Some of the best pork carnitas I have ever had have been from this restaurant.

Mexico bottled Coca-Cola, an assortment of Mexican beers, and a traditional (I ordered a small) margarita.

It never came. After waiting, we had to flag down a server walking by, who eventually brought one--only for it to be broken. It then took another 10 minutes before we finally got a functional highchair. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed far more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually paying attention to guests. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The worst part came after we left. I realized almost immediately that I had left my wallet behind and called right away. Instead of any sense of urgency or willingness to help, the host who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before I could fully explain the situation, she cut me off and told me to "call back tomorrow." When I tried to quickly describe the wallet--color, contents, anything that might help--she hung up on me mid-sentence. Considering I called almost immediately after leaving and was brushed off so quickly, it raises serious concerns about whether any real effort was made to locate it. I would hope any establishment would take something like that seriously. Between the lack of attention, the disorganization, and the way a simple, time-sensitive situation was handled, this place clearly has serious issues with customer service. I won't be back.

When you arrive there is parking in front of the restaurant as it's located in a shopping plaza. When you walk in you'll feel like you've been transported to a trendy, energetic, and coastal beach restaurant. There are also TVs at the bar if you are looking to watch sports. We checked in with the host and opted for a table. To start we ordered the queso (Smoky queso, pico de gallo, fresh cilantro) and added the smoky chorizo. The queso was very good and had a great smoky flavor with a little spice. You'll want to order an appetizer as chips are not complimentary. For drinks my partner ordered the strawberry mojito (Bacardi limon, mint, lime, soda, strawberry) which was good and on the sweeter side. I ordered the Desert Fire (Jalapeño infused lunazul, triple sec, chipotle simple syrup, lime, spicy rim) which was on the spicier side but was so good. For mains my partner ordered the Mahi Wrap (Blackened mahi, napa-romaine mix, fresh avocado, honey chipotle sauce, Caribbean salsa, grilled flour tortilla with seasoned fries) which had a nice balance of flavors. The fish was a bit overcooked but the seasoned fries and flavors made up for the dry fish. I ordered the surf & turf burrito (Grilled shrimp, marinated steak, queso rice, grilled onions, pico de gallo, queso fresco, baja crema, topped with habanero onions & arugula, cilantro served with black beans) topped with the tomato cream sauce. The sauce had a nice smoky flavor and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. As for the steak, kind of the same issue as the fish where it was overcooked/cooked well done. For dessert we ordered the Sugar churros (Whipped cream, caramel dipping sauce) which were served piping hot and they go perfectly with the dip. We ended up stirring the whipped cream and the caramel sauce together. I definitely would stop by salt & lime cabo grill for mexican food but would opt for just shrimp as the main meat vs mahi or steak. Looking forward to my next visit to salt & lime.
