I took an ottoman slipcover to Comet Cleaners who sent the slipcover to Guaranteed Alterations to repair the corner of the skirt which had torn at the seam when I removed it. They kept it over a week and said it would be done last Saturday. We AGREED on the quote. Today is Tuesday. I'm told that it was ripped nearly all the way around which is a LIE and was given a higher quote which of course, I refused. This place is not only dishonest but a major rip off. read more

Walked in this place and was made too feel like I was bothering the lady I was recommended to them by pope cleaner's in helotes I was wanting to get some leather chaps stitched up and the lady that was helping me could care less. She made one comment that was about it. I thanked her for her time and walked out. We were very happy with the alterations we got on a prom dress. Turn around time was quick and pricing was very reasonable!

I bought myself two pairs of really cool shorts for camping. They have pockets all over the place. I didn't pay attention to the length of them. When they go to me, They nearly reached my ankles! I put them on and looked in the mirror. They looked absolutely ridiculous on a 58-year-old fat man! I decided to have all of the extra fabric removed below the lowest pockets. That would make them the perfect length for me- a few inches below the knees.I ran them over to Guaranteed Alterations and had it done. It didn't cost much at all to have them cut and re-hemmed. They are so well done, that they look like I bought them that way. The hems are really great- not the home-done kind I'm used to. I rarely need any alterations these days, but when I do, I will definitely come back to Guaranteed Alterations. One note: Some where on line it is shown as closed on Mondays. I called to see if a two school uniform skirts could be altered at the waist and was asked when I would need it done by. I stated that I would need it no later than a week from today and asked if that would be enough time. The line disconnected right after that. I assumed it may just have been by accident so I called back. I spoke to the same person and they stated that 1 week would be plenty of time for them to make the alterations. I then asked if they could also add pockets to the skirts and the line disconnected again. It seems their phones work correctly until you ask a question. Instant red flag for me. read more

I had a horrible experience here. I went in to get a dress altered and the lady said it would be ready on Friday after noon. I asked her was she sure because I had to go out of town Friday for a bridal shower and that was the dress I was going to wear. She said no problem they close at 6 and anytime between 12-6 it will be ready. I get there on Friday at 4:30 and the place is closed. The sign says it's open until 6 but the door is locked and the lights are off. I won't be coming back. read more

Bad customer service!! Was greeted less than enthusiastically and after being asked to explain alteration which seemed simple enough....moving the waistline down on a prom skirt was told"no, I'm too busy". Then why have me pull out the dress, ask me if we have the heels and give an explanation if you know from the beginning you weren't going to take the job......expected more from a place who supposedly specializes in evening gowns. read more

Trini did an excellent job on my dress. I needed it hemmed and I wanted a slit put in it. She did it fast and at a good price. She also even found some other sewing errors (shortcuts from how it was made) at the empire waist and fixed those. She did a great job! I will be going back to her shop for all my alterations. read more
