Some were thirst and some were hungry, so I suggested we try this place. We didn't have a reservation but it was early evening. We were able to get a table for 5 quick. It's a nice place, felt classy. Luckily we came in looking classy. Our server was a nice guy. He took our orders, including my Mai Tai which was off menu. We also ordered different bites for the table. I got a tamale and also the croquetas. Both were very good, and the Mai Tai was perfect. It's got a touristy energy, a little overly Cuban. But honestly its probably not noticeable unless your from South Florida. The waiter was able to take orders and conversate in Spanish and English which was good for our table. It's a nice spot for bites and drinks. We are sure to hit here again soon.

It looked like a very upscale Cuban spot and instantly made us feel fancy dining there. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and they accepted walk-ins, which was a plus. We started with the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was amazing. They even had bottled Coke, which my girlfriend loved. For my entrée, I had the churrasco and it was so good, especially with the chimichurri sauce. My girlfriend ordered the braised beef entrée and it was incredible as well. I would definitely recommend this place. I just wish I had taken pictures because the restaurant was absolutely beautiful inside.

I was told that when you're in Florida ESPECIALLY Miami you HAVE to get Cuban food. And wow... now…read moreI understand why. As we were driving in, the place already looked beautiful. We came in the evening and immediately, as we walked up, there was music, people laughing, talking, smiling... the energy was incredible. I also loved that there was a bar off to the side while waiting. We ordered a few mojitos and sat outside at the tables and benches, just enjoying the atmosphere. When our name was finally called and we walked inside, I genuinely felt like I was stepping into history. The atmosphere here is unmatched. The music, the aromas, the people. God, I loved it here and I hadn't even tried the food yet. We ordered the braised oxtail (which came with plantains and rice), salmon glazed in guava BBQ sauce, ceviche tropical, assorted empanadas, and a Cuban sandwich. Everything was phenomenal. The sauce paired with the empanadas perfectly. The guava BBQ glaze on the salmon was absolute perfection. It was the perfect combo of sweet, smoky, and flavorful. The ceviche had the perfect acidity and tasted so fresh and refreshing. This is one of the most famous Cuban restaurants in Miami. It completely lives up to the reputation. Highly recommended

DIRT AND MUD IN THE SALAD!!! WATCH OUT…read more We ordered the salad with mango and pecans. They do not wash there lettuce. There was literally dirt/mud at the bottom and I took my first bite and it felt like biting into sand. Upon spitting the food out onto my plate it was black sludge. Literally my tongue and teeth were black. The waiter came by and grabbed the plate when I was in the bathroom. I spent about 10 minutes trying to get that BLACK SLUDGE out of my mouth. When I was spitting out the dirt/mud wife noticed the bus boys laughing at me and there was not a manger in sight. When I asked for a manager he did not even respond. No apology or anything just a look of confusion. Worst experience in a restaurant in my life and I love to eat and have been to many types of restaurant big and small. Cheap and expensive and this one takes the cake. We were so bummed as I see thousands of great reviews. But if there was a zero I would have given zero stars the way they handled the situation. If you eat there in the future make sure to check for DIRT/MUD.

Wow. That was awesome. Really great atmosphere, too…read more My only complaint is that the Piña Colada had like 1/3rd of the glass filled with whipped cream, which I removed cuz I can't stand it. Great drink though... extra $3 for Bacardi? Go for it! And the wife says that her Mojito is probably one of the best 3 she's ever had in her life. I got some Spanish White Bean soup that was really good. My wife's OxTail arrived shortly afterward... I thought it was mostly very good. I really like the preparation, except much of it was pretty chewy instead of soft. My Churrasco was one of the best I've ever had. That wasn't chewy at all. Cooked medium rare, it was incredibly soft with great chimichurri. The maduros were great, wife loves the white rice, and one of my favorite things, believe it or not, was the black beans. It's exactly what you would get if you ordered the Black Bean Soup, which surprised me, but it's so damned awesome, why not? I really liked the servers, too... nice personalities, and helpful in general. If I lived here, no doubt I would be back!
