Ran to my phone to write this review immediately. We were in town looking for land to eventually move to this beautiful little town. We stopped at Gub Gubs for a little dinner. Not only was the food delicious, the atmosphere was so fun. Unfortunately, we had our two very small children with us and a major thunderstorm was coming in, the owner's daughter graciously said she would have her father deliver our pizzas to our little hotel room down the street. This man brought our pizzas in a TORRENTIAL downpour. That level of customer service is just not found outside of a town like this, a town like the one I grew up in, and I missed that kindness. We went searching for a fun ice cream spot, and found it! Gub Gub's is in the Mercantile building, which makes for a neat atmosphere. There's five 4-place tables and a small bench to sit at while you enjoy your treats! It's not easy to decide what to get, but we ordered four different things and were happy with each one. Some of the nice small touches include quality add-ons like crushed peanuts or sliced almonds, FRESH whipped cream and beautiful, plump cherries! Since they opened in a new location, we decided to give them a try and see what changed. The crust is a little thicker. Toppings were adequate and the veggies were fresh. But... there was virtually NO sauce. Just a little bit around the edges. Since the sauce makes or breaks the pizza, this is a non-starter for us. And the wait... 43 minutes! Despite only 4 tables inside and 2 outside being used, a handful of carryout orders and 9-10 staff working, it was still a painfully long wait. The family seated two tables from us waited nearly an hour! At $24.00 plus tip for a 14" supreme, and a 43 minute wait, you'd better have lots of time and money. The only way you can pull off the old gas station feel is if you have great food. (Notably, the best bbq restaurant in Kansas City) It's a small town and they are the only game in town for pizza, so they will do ok but our money will be spent elsewhere. read more

Gub gub's is a cute little restaurant in the center of Blanding. We ordered the Greek salad and it was Excellent! The greens were so fresh and it was filled with olives, tomatoes, peppers and Feta cheese. We enjoyed the Rabbit food pizza enormously. Thomas makes every single pizza to perfection. This is the best pizza for miles. My son tried the vegan pizza a few months ago and now drives from Denver to stop at Gub gubs!
