I visited this place to pick up a quick breakfast-lunch combo of sandwiches to take with us for a day inside the national park, but my experience left me feeling a bit underwhelmed and only warranted 3 stars. I found the coffee to be decent and the sandwiches themselves were okay in terms of flavor, but the prices felt rather high for what we actually received. My main disappointment came after half a day of strenuous activities in the park when we finally opened the packaging to find teeny sandwiches with really small portion sizes. Even after eating them, we were still quite hungry, which was frustrating since we needed a filling meal to keep our energy up. Our first time here. The coffee was lukewarm and acidic tasting . My husbands sandwich was mediocre,barely warm. We sat down hoping to enjoy at least the atmosphere. Very unkept, unclean and didn't meet our expectations. We left and went to Starbucks.. The service was good tho . Just wouldn't choose this place next time we are in the area. read more

Needed some coffee before we spent the day hiking in Great Sand Dunes National Park, and all the reviews pointed to Milagros. Loved how cute this shop was - it had so much character to enjoy. Thankful they opened so early at 7am so we were able to get some coffee. They had a great drink menu - from just coffee and espresso options to tea to blended drinks. Grabbed a Matcha and London Fog - not the best we've ever had, but still tasty and a good start to the morning. Also had nice breakfast options. Comfy seating options. We were able to grab a nice couch to sit and enjoy. They also had free Wi-fi and clean bathrooms. Street parking was easy to find. Overall, a good choice for your morning coffee! read more

Ugh I really wanted to love this place! It's a great safe space that clearly supports LGBTQ+ in an otherwise very red area. And because of that alone, I'd come back if I'm ever in the area again. The pros: WiFi was solid, staff was friendly, loved the overall vibe & the artwork. Decent coffee prices The not so pros: my latte was milk heavy - I should still at least be able to taste the beans since I didn't add any syrups. And while the bread & crispy bacon on my BLT was BOMB... there was absolutely no lettuce to be found and like 2 small bites of tomato. What you see in the photo was it (legit nothing but bacon on the other half... should have taken a photo, but I was starving lol). Added avocado for 0.50 but damn, that was skimped on too. This is one of my top favorite coffee shops in Colorado. I just wish they stayed open later to compete with the dreaded starfucks.

This coffee shop is a unique little find with some delicious coffee and some small bites of your on your way out of just looking for a quaint spot to study. They support locally, so a lot of the merchandise you'll find here is from the area. The coffee is flavorful and their hours are reasonable too. The day we went, there was one gentleman who was running the whole show and even though it was busy, he worked hard and was very nice!!! He didn't skimp on making the coffee, even providing some coffee art as well. I wouldn't definitely recommend taking a stop here if you're looking for some unique coffee options rather than Starbs. read more

I have been to this coffee house many times and it seems like they are always out of most things on their menu. They do not however tell you when they are out of something or mark it off the menu until you order. There have been different employees recently, and they are polite but quiet and have messed up almost every order I have made, due to them not confirming the order. I do however love the environment of the coffee shop and the food is good, the service is just frustrating and the quality of the drinks could use improvement. I do not even want to mention their matchas are a complete disgrace. Watery, powdery, NO FLAVOR. Do not order a matcha. read more

I was in town for my graduation and we came to Milagros Coffee House... another great decision! The staff was friendly and helpful, our order came out hot and delicious . They even have a wonderful program you can donate to that provides coffee or food to the homeless. I had the Fig panini, it tasted like a delicious apple pie, with sliced apple, fresh spinach, Brie and fig jam, such a delicious compliment to my chai latte. My husband had the Reuben panini, thinly sliced pastrami with melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and a tantalizing dressing. He also enjoyed a perfectly prepared cappuccino. After 20 minutes, I asked about my hummus wrap because it didn't look like folks behind the counter were doing anything and I thought they forgot, I was told there were tickets ahead of me, but no one had been brought out food during that time. Then in the next 15 minutes, they did bring out food to three people I finally left without the wrap. I drove home, peeled the cucumber washed and chopped cilantro and made myself a hummus cheese, cucumber, onion, and cilantro sandwich and was able to eat in 10 minutes. The person behind the cash register complained about how busy they were four different times while I waited but it was not busy while I was there. Stopped here for breakfast on our way to the Sandune's and were told that it was a 25 minute wait for food which seemed long based on how many people we saw in the coffee shop but we were starving and already had our heart set on the items on the menu so we decided to wait. Well... 25 minutes turned into 50 minutes! Not only that, but when the food finally did come, it was ice cold! We watched the guy making the food, and he had the speed of a glacier! There is no efficiency to his system, such as walking back to the fridge, grabbing one item walking back to the counter, setting it down, then walking back to the fridge to grab another single item and so on! Complete ridiculousness. I saw my food sitting there getting cold while he was making my partners burrito and I almost walked over to grab it but my partner convinced me to be patient and wait but my instincts were correct because my meal was cold. I told the chef/waiter. (He delivered the food as well) that it would've been a little less frustrating if you had brought my sandwich before it was cold if he had no way of keeping it warm. He also needed help, clearly but honestly, they inefficiency was the biggest problem. He was very nice and offered me a refund of my food which was nice, but I never did receive it. At that point. We were so behind schedule that we left. Had it not been cold the food would've been excellent I'm sure. everything tasted good and my partners burrito was good and warm. There were four people working there and the place really wasn't that packed for such a wait. I've owned a coffee shop before and served food on this level and ran the whole thing by myself and never had people waiting this long! This could be an amazing spot with better staffing. read more

Yet another treasure hidden away in a small town!! We stopped by on our way back home from Colorado Springs and can't recommend it enough! The "exotic lattes" were unique - my wife loved her cherry kiss and I really enjoyed my Mt. Blanca. Our son got his usual vanilla Italian soda and said it was "perfect" we all enjoyed breakfast burritos that were delicious! Prices were unbelievable! After reading the reviews I stopped in for coffee and a breakfast burrito on Sunday. It's a very nice coffee shop with a cool community/earthy vibe. The staff were young and very happy/pleasant. I had an americano coffee which was worthy of 4 stars and a breakfast burrito that was 4+ star worthy. Had to wait quite a long time to order (though I was standing there alone) and they had run out of some ingredients I wanted in my burrito (specifically potatoes) which brings the score down a bit...still, I would go back for sure. read more

I only give 4 stars because you may wait a while for your food and drinks. There was a little bit of a line and they only had 2 people working. I had the fig panini which was really good but I feel like it needs something else added to take away some of the sweetness. Otherwise no complaints, I also had a mocha latte that was pretty tasty. I always love stopping by Milagros when visiting or driving to through Alamosa! The staff is always very kind, the peanut butter latte is amazing, and they use the delicious Solar Roast beans from Pueblo, CO! Thank you for the wonderful experience, and on a previous trip I tried and loved loved the vegetarian breakfast burrito (filling but not overly so with great flavor) & Earl gray latte (creamy and flavorful!) ! Window sill near a plant, baseboards, and a strip of wood used to attach chains to hang art had so much dust and dirt. These were all on one wall near our table, and I didn't look around the rest of the room. The bathroom had the same type of issue. Makes me wonder about the kitchen. read more

Milagros has a very expansive menu with so many fun latte options and phenomenal service! Our barista was super friendly, the staff was masked up, and tables were spread apart. I tried a rose matcha latte at the barista's suggestion and my friend got the pooh bear (honey and cinnamon latte), and we both loved our drinks. The interior had a lot of cute decor and various seating options from couches to tables. We will be in town for a few days for the Sand Dunes and definitely plan on coming back! read more
