I had been dreaming about owning a Gucci purse for five years. When my boyfriend told me I could finally get one if it showed up at the outlet, it felt like a real milestone. The day it did, I was overjoyed. The sales associate, who had to search to find the last one in stock, was helpful and I left the store on cloud nine. That evening, when I unboxed my purse at home, my heart sank. There was a visible piece of damaged leather on the front. I looked up the Rosemont store number online and called it, not realizing it connected to a general customer service line. The representative was kind and reassuring -- they confirmed the purse was still available in other locations and told me I could bring it back the next day for an exchange or to have one ordered from another store. I felt relieved and went to bed thinking it would all be sorted out easily. It was not. When I arrived at the store the next day -- tags still on, purse unused, receipt in hand -- I was met with a very different experience. The manager immediately told me that calling customer service had been 'my first mistake,' that the sales associate should have given me his personal number, and that the overseas customer service line was not equipped to help me. This was my very first purchase at a Gucci store. I had no way of knowing any of that. His tone was condescending and I felt as though I was being accused of something rather than helped. The sales associate who had sold me the purse the night before did not greet me or acknowledge me. He examined the purse and initially acted as though he could not find the damage -- even though it was clearly visible on the front. I had to point it out myself. No apology was offered. The manager continued to tell me I should not have listened to customer service. To make matters worse, it was discovered during the visit that a second identical purse had been sitting in a drawer at the front of the store all along -- meaning a simple exchange had always been possible. The night before, I had been told it was the last one in stock. I ended up in tears. I was embarrassed and heartbroken. This was a $1,200 purse and the most special purchase my bf made for me. I was not asking for a refund or anything beyond what I had paid for. I simply wanted a purse without a defect. I am not someone who will say I will never return -- I love quality and I appreciate the brand. But if Gucci has a customer service line, customers should be able to trust what they are told. And if a customer walks in with a legitimate concern on a first-time purchase, they deserve to be treated with kindness and respect -- not made to feel like a problem. For a luxury brand at this price point, that is the bare minimum. read more

Instead this store had person with a loud voice saying pets are not allowed as if I should have known with the no posted signs. Value this store does have older merchandise at a discount. There's a new Gucci store in the Rosemont Fashion Outlets of Chicago Mall. Actually, it's the same store, they just moved to another space. They were located right in the middle of the mall on the second floor. Recently, since before Christmas, there is a huge line to get into the store, even before they open. The line would be blocking the aisle and making social distancing impossible. I believe that they moved the store in order to alleviate the traffic jam. The new store is also slightly larger, and the front of the store is more open and visible. The merchandise that is displayed in the windows is highlighted attractively and easy to see. The front of the store showcases the purses and shoes, while the back of the store features the clothing. I'm not a big fan of Gucci, and have only been in the store one time, but it seems to be a true outlet store. I found a few defects in the stitching on some of the purses, and the one dress I liked was made out of paper thin material and the hem was sewn crooked. Yes, the prices are lower than you would find at a regular Gucci store, but, inspect the merchandise carefully before you purchase. I would suggest to get to the mall early and be prepared to wait in line, as there is a limit to how many people are allowed in the store at one time. read more

As I watched 3 associate walk past me, I spotted one of them. Explaining that 2 others walked past me. I immediately showed him what I wanted. And asked for sizes. He (said his name was something like sace -after I asked hus name) went to get them for me. Brought out one box, handed it to me and walked away. I opened the box to find one left shoe inside. Luckily I knew that (meant) the right shoe was on the floor. I went to look for it. Brought it back to where I was sitting. I realized I needed a shoe horn. Still no salesman. I switched back to my shoes, and as I walked out I saw the salesman come back my way. I quickly explained to him, this visit was awful. The service, was bad. I needed a shoehorn, and a right footed shoe. I explained quickly to the security guard as well. As I left very disappointed. I was excited that they had a few shoes of interest. I've bought from several designer stores, including other Gucci outlets, and have never experienced what occurred here. While the sales associate was generally helpful, when we went to ring up the purchase, instead of charging the price that was on the inside tag, her and the check out associate pulled up the retail price from the web and put that as the price to charge. I asked why they were charging a different price and they said the price inside the bag was not the correct price . Am not sure why the sales associate didn't mention that when I looked at the purse earlier and tried it on. Thankfully my husband was with me and saw the strangeness transpire and said let's leave. The service is mediocre here at best, but the selection is good. I had to wait for a very long time before I was helped, and they didn't seem very interested helping me. I think I wasn't dressed well enough to be helped in the way I would expect to be addressed. I seriously had just been in the car for over 7 hours and had not checked into my hotel yet. This was on the way, so I wanted to get my shopping done rather than go to my hotel and come back. Anyway, I ended up buying a wallet and did save about 25% off the regular price, but it was still kind of a annoying experience. It's customer service like this that I would rather shop online if I could get the same price! It has been a few weeks since my last visit. We had an absolute joke of a Gucci sales associate gracing us with his presence. Tall-ish, mismatched wrinkled blue suit, brown off brand shoes, tarnished jewelry that looked like it was bought at the state fair oh and a pompadour hair do...the reason for the detailed description is to show why my experience was a joke. He is ignorant, acted better than me, acted like he had no time for me. When I asked to see anything it was almost done with an eye roll, and He even told me "you are all over the place, you said you wanted this and now you're looking at that.." I was seeking more than one product (a bag and sunglasses most likely) but his demeanor sent me packing. He could not have been more off putting and acted like He had someplace else to be the whole 10-15 min encounter. He needs to check himself...this is not 5th Ave in New York, it's an outlet mall in Rosemont IL! And as for my detailed description- none of what He was wearing was Gucci. There is no place for his type of customer service. Oh and I do know his name, but don't feel it's necessary to share it-but his managers should know He is pushing biz out the door. Not even worth 1 star. Super pushy and unprofessional environment. I've only ever shopped at Gucci outlet in Sawgrass Mills in FL. But Chicago outlet sold me 1 shoe! My salesperson was inexperienced and completely rushed the sale. The cashier as well had a terrible attitude and it was as soon as they opened the store. Cashier was so rude and didn't double check both pairs were inside the shoe box w correct sizes. Terrible. I will say reaching out to Gucci corp to fix the issue was a breeze and went alot smoother than I expected being that I wasn't local. Worked with Weijan who was so helpful. He helped me with shoes which I constantly buy the same shoe over and over again in the same colour. Weijan found my sizes and I was pleased to see some of my favourite shoes there. I normally shop downtown, but I make a few trips a year there, and usually the service is borderline underwhelming. But Weijan was very patient, and offered me some styling advice. I had a question about something which he did not know, and he asked around until he found an answer. The remodel is just beautiful, and is much brighter and accessible. Sad to see Barney's closed, but Gucci did such a wonderful job I cannot really complain. I didn't even want to stop in here but my friend did. So I waited in the small line and wouldn't you know, found some amazing one-of-a-kind classic Gucci loafers. They have like this herringbone on the face. And the Gucci bee embroidered on the back. So awesome and less than half the price of Gucci on Michigan Ave! The service was great and part of me doesn't even want to post this review because I want to go back and see if there's any more! Just kidding, enough for everyone. Was not sure what to expect for the selection as this was my first time to the Gucci outlet but it did not disappoint. I read other reviews to get there early because there is a line and they were right! They only let about 5 customers in the store at a time and it is regulated by an employee with a rope at the door. Once inside the store was huge and had a lot of inventory! I didn't have any specific style in mind but was interested in getting a new purse and maybe sunglasses. Stacy helped us out and she was extremely kind, personable and patient. Best part, every time I selected something I wanted she said "let me run to the back and get you a brand new one". We didn't feel rushed to look around or buy and left with a purse and the most adorable sunglasses. Absolutely worth the 3.5 hour drive up and absolutely will come back. read more

I frequent this store, usually go about once a month and have had nothing but great experiences and snagged major deals. My best deal was on a pair of Gucci sunglasses I got for $30. They have 50% off sales just about every holiday and the occasional 75% sale on merchandise that is already 30% off. I have purchased things at the store that are still being sold in Neiman Marcus and Saks so the claims that everything in the store is dated is false. You only have to wait in line to enter the store on weekends they have sales or Black Friday. I have only waited in line once and that was on Black Friday. When I first started going I won't lie, the sales associates weren't the warmest. They weren't rude but they weren't cheerfully greeting me as I came in. I don't mind I don't need a greeter to make me feel better about spending my money or feed my ego. Also, you have to remember this is a huge tourist spot, and as a yelper below me admitted, many people go in with no intention of buying anything. If 60% of the people who walk in aren't purchasing anything, it should be common sense that the sales associates are not going to run to the door every time someone comes in. The more and more I've gone the friendlier the SA's have become, even though I'm probably the most annoying customer. I ask to see everything in one case and purchase a different thing altogether. Ultimately, they know I'll buy something so they have patience with me. My last purchase was my Gucci denim soho. I told my SA that it was a birthday gift to myself and she was so sweet. She gave me her card and told me to send her pictures on my birthday so she can see the bag in action. Mind you this is my first interaction with this particular associate. There are times where I have to wait about 15 minutes to be helped but hello there's only like 4 sales associates in the store and a lot of customers, who like me, want to see multiple things at a time. Well there was a long line to enter the store. I respect this rule as it may be because of Covid. Groups if people will have one or two people from their group stand in line and rest will wander around visiting other stores, etc. We did the same. I stood in line for over 30 minutes while my husband was going to the other shops. Well this lady - I think she was manager or had a supervisory role told me specifically that if my husband didn't wait in line, he couldn't get in. Please don't make a rule that you can't apply to all. So I objected to this rule and brought to her attention how everyone else was doing the same thing. Secondly this lady needs some serious training on " politeness ". I could get into the store alongwith my husband. But the whole experience was quite demeaning. I wanted to look at some of the leather goods behind the glass case, but if I wanted to do that, I would have to stand in line just so they could open the case for me. So annoying. They didn't seem interested in helping me out. Maybe because they knew I was doing an exchange. Regardless of the other reviews, I went ahead and gave this place the benefit of the doubt and can confirm that this is by far the worst Gucci store I've ever been in. I've shopped at the actual store on Michigan Avenue and was ignored until I finally approached someone and asked for help with buying two pairs of shoes I already planned to buy. At the outlet I said "hello" to the clerk twice, because I thought maybe he just did not hear me the first time, and he blatantly ignored me both times. Needless to say Gucci clearly doesn't vet their clerks as well as Versace or Louis Vuitton because they appear to hire people who have no clue what customer service even means. It's unfortunate that Gucci provides such poor customer service. Definitely not going to buy Gucci anymore. I went to the Gucci outlet store. I am disabled and carry an oxygen machine with me to help me breathe. I am fully disabled. Line was 50 people to get in the store. I asked if I could be let in due to my disability. The manager very politely said it doesn't matter that I am on oxygen and told me I would have to go to the end of the line.
