I went to the Gucci outlet store. I am disabled and carry an oxygen machine with me to help me breathe. I am fully disabled. Line was 50 people to get in the store. I asked if I could be let in due to my disability. The manager very politely said it doesn't matter that I am on oxygen and told me I would have to go to the end of the line. Security guards in an outlet store? Oh, give me a break. It was funny when, as I exited, I heard "BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" but the employees just smiled and said, "it's okay! go!" No, I didn't steal anything. But I kind of, sort of, wished I had. But nothing really appealed to me here anyway. I was curious to check out the high-end outlet stores, with no real intention of purchasing anything. I visited the Gucci store on Michigan Ave. on a whim a few years ago with a friend, so I wanted to see how the outlet differed. I was definitely out of my element - sweaters for $400, sunglasses for $300. I suppose that's a fair discount for the brand. You have to appreciate the brand to truly enjoy this shop. Personally, I thought the scarves were tacky, the clothes were boring, and the handbags were either emblazoned with tacky logos or again, boring. Pricing may be attractive to the Richie Riches of the world, but I would definitely say that this is not an outlet that is accessible to just anyone. I only spent a few minutes in here, but it didn't look like anyone was actually BUYING anything. I frequented this location a few times and I have to agree with other commenters about the rudeness of the sales personnel. I normally don't dress to the nines when visiting the mall. I actually look a good 10 years younger but to be clear I am a working professional with money to spend. I came into this location over Christmas looking to buy a few items for my mom and myself. I was blatantly judged and ignored, never greeted, and if I Weren't looking for a particular item my mom requested I would have walked out because I ended up asking for help. When the asian woman helping me saw I was prepared to spend money that's when the compliments starting pouring in and I was treated like an actual human. Needless to say, I won't be returning here anytime soon if at all. There are so many other places to spend my money. Such a disappointment! A friend of mine recently purchased a scarf (still in the plastic wrap) she asked if I want to stop with her to exchange it for a different colour. This being the first time to the Outlets near Ohare. (I don't care for outlet shopping as I find the merchandise to be less than regular store quality.) When we arrived at the store it appeared to be very busy for a Monday, then I realized it was mostly employees talking to each other. Finally, getting one's attention, she asked to exchange with her receipt for a different colour. Not knowing she bought the scarf on a sale day. She was asked to pay the difference. As I looked at my friend puzzled, she asked for a manager, the snippy Gucci Outlet employee said there is nothing he can do it's the store policy. My friend went ahead and paid the additional $20.00. As we drove home, we talked about our experience. I guess this is what you get when you shop at the outlet and not the Gucci store. The employees we made contact with at this store, outlet or not, certainly are not Gucci material. We definitely will not be back and Gucci USA will receive a copy of her receipt and her letter. read more

I waited in line for about 2 min before a kind man let me in. I enjoyed wandering through and checking out all the handbags, shoes, accessories and clothing. I ended up choosing a lovely velvet Marmont bag with the help of SA Nadia. She was so kind, sweet and helped me find a perfect bag from the back with no scratches or marks. When I went to pay everyone was super kind and even teased me a little about my Louis Vuitton bag. This location has the worst service and follow-through especially by the managers. There is no consideration for an individual's time. My son purchased a gift card, which I tried to use. The gift card was purchased at this location. After standing in line for two hour, I was told that the gift cards were not working. They indicated that the manager would call me, which she never did. I had my eye on a specific bag during their annual sale. Since I live in south Louisiana, I only hope was to find an associate somewhere who would help me. I called three Gucci stores before finally reaching an associate at this location. She was unbelievably helpful and snagged the last bag off the shelf for me and shipped it right away. She was incredibly patient while I attempted to pay over the phone while driving none the less. Can't recommend them enough. read more

I just purchased a bag from here, however I was a little disappointed in the male sales associate (tall skinny with dark hair). I noticed he treated the older customers that "looked like" they had money better than he treated me. Now I know you can't judge a customer by how they look. Many times those that look like money are broke, and those that look broke have money. As I am shopping I notice many of the prices are not on the outside of the bags, and the male sales person is telling the older customers the prices. Once he is done helping them I ask him, what is the price on this bag? He then states rudely, "the prices are listed in the item". At that point I felt like a second hand customer. sure my clothes were not "fancy" but it's my day off and I want comfort when I shop. I will give props to Moriliat (the reason I gave 3 stars instead of one) the sales girl! She treated me excellent during my whole transaction. She helped me pick out a perfect bag! The line here is ridiculous. I literally had to stand here twice waiting for 45 mins each time and this turned me away from shopping further in the mall. I had to come here a second time because they sold me a defective piece without telling me it was defective so I had to come back to return it. I was suppose to get a call from corporate or the main store letting me know if they could get me a similar piece to exchange however, a week passed and I still have not heard anything. For being a luxury retailer where people spend a good amount of money, your customer service sucks. I would think your standards would be much higher but your worse than some of the standard retailers. Fix your game Gucci or you'll loose many more customers. read more

A specific doorman today (12/16/17) was incredibly rude and physically put his hand on my shoulder, after he told me to wait in a line that wasn't there, and I had asked "what line?" He touched my shoulder as if he was directing my body to the line. I could not believe that he put his hands on me! We did not wait after him touching me. Had to get an exchange because when I got home I saw a big scratch mark on the surface and I took it back waited in line for 10 mins and I'm 35 weeks pregnant, wasn't pleasant already. Went in and found this my sales girl Amber was working, she immediately say that's fine I will get you a new one and the second one I saw a scratch too, I ask her if she see the scratch on the original one and the second one she gave me, she told me sorry I don't have glasses I can't see and she ask another salesgirl and she was like no I don't see anything which was totally BS. Absolutely the worse customer service in America!! You have to stand outside the store as they only let a few customers in at a time. Yep, they treat EVERYONE like criminals. So after about 15 mins of standing in line I was granted entry into the store! Lol I felt like royalty! NOT! So I walk in... I'm not greeted by anyone. I go over to the shoes and I'm followed by the security guard. I wait... No assistance. Then I walk over the the purses and I'm followed again by the security officer. I think nothing of it. Clientele in Gucci on Michigan avenue is much more sophisticated, thus customer service at the top level. Gucci outlet seem to be have many folks who are bargain hunters, and customer service at its worst. Finding associate to get cloth or shoes in your size is a challenge, as sales team is not even pulling effort to serve customers. Although I notice quite a few buyers are very shady gh*etto style characters. No need for an effort, brand sales itself for burgain shoppers. I was shopping at Gucci outlet store in Rosemont for my husband's birthday. The shoe size that was needed was not available in that store so the associate Jaime told me that another store in California has it and that they can ship it to my home via express or overnight shipping so that I have the gift ready in time for the birthday. Due to the time difference that store was still closed so he told me to leave my information, name, shipping and billing address and reassured me that he would call me back immediately, as soon as they open, which was to happen in less than an hour, so that he can take my payment information and arrange the purchase and shipping. I took time to fill out the information he asked for, all while also managing to look after and take care of my toddler who was also with me. Jaime gave me his card and told that everything will be taken care of. He even told he would set an alarm for himself so as to call the California store instantly when they open. And so I trusted him, stopping my search of the present after being reassured with great confidence by the store associate. Not only I did not receive any calls back from the store but also when I tried calling the Gucci Rosemont numerous times that day and next one, I was rudely ignored and rejected. I was placed on hold for long period of time when I asked for Jaime so that I could inquire about my matter, then I was told he would call me back, which never happened. So at the end of the day when I called again, the associate was already gone and nobody could help me. Next day when I finally spoke with him after several attempts of my calling, he told the shoes I needed were not available. When I asked why he did not simply call me back right away and inform me about it so that I could resume my search of a present, he did not have any answer. I had to shop for the gift last minute elsewhere, risking ruining birthday for my husband. Gucci and their customer service has really let me down in this situation. I was looking forward to having a pleasant experience of shopping at an upscale store for the most special gift for the most special person. The experience was ruined and on top of that I also waisted a lot of time and energy trying to figure out the matter only to feel greatly neglected and disappointed in the end.
